Beloved ones, the great ascended host and the entire Spirit of the Great White Brotherhood have long desired to see the people of America and the world blessed with an unusual outpicturing of cosmic freedom. Do you think, beloved ones, that it is our desire to have an exclusive club where only a few individuals may belong to and obtain the blessings and benefits of this club? I tell you nay. For it is our desire to see all of you cut free from every type of human domination and every type of power which causes you to be oppressed and to obtain for yourself such victory as never before has manifested upon this planet.
As you read some of the teachings of the past which are recorded in books today pertaining to Lemuria and Atlantis and past ages, mankind are often prone to speculate that this is merely the vain imaginings of someone's mind. I tell you, beloved ones, the power of light that beats your heart is not a vain imagining! It is the power of freedom. But it is the power of freedom when it is called into action and not the power of freedom when it is wrongly qualified as mankind have continued to do.
When mankind, therefore, will love freedom enough to seek it with all their heart, they will obtain it as many have and as you can this eve. Beloved ones, ere you go tonight to rest your heads upon your pillow, if you will desire, in the shuffling off of this mortal coil during those hours of sleep, to find a greater attunement with your own beloved God Presence, you have but to make the call. And I tell you that upon the morrow you may think that Whitsuntide has descended upon you as you feel the tremendous surging power and currents of the Holy Spirit descending from the heart of the Maha Chohan and enfolding your lifestream with the great power of light and perfection from which I speak.
I tell you, ladies and gentlemen, you do not know the power I wield! You do not conceive of the power of victory that is within your own bodies and minds and brains and beings! I tell you, ladies and gentlemen, this power is the absolute victory of this planet, and mankind must wake up and perceive that it is within themselves and not within another.
Mankind today so frequently are driven by the idea of pursuing some master in some far-off cosmic land. And we do admit that we hold such retreats in far-off distant lands, but I tell you, we are as close as your hands and feet, and your freedom is that close. Do you think, beloved ones, when the Christ upon the eve of his crucifixion knelt in the Garden of Gethsemane and called upon the angelic host to comfort him that he himself was not imbued with the great allness of God? Do you also think, beloved ones, in spite of the fact that he himself was imbued with the allness of God that he did not feel a tremendous wave of mass effluvia of human fear and doubt which was directed at him? And therefore, he too called for the angelic host to bring him that comfort.
I tell you, beloved ones, that the great drops of blood which he sweat and which appeared upon him, O precious ones of the light, is an indication to your precious lifestreams that all is not always ease and comfort to mankind when once they set their feet upon the path that leads to their own immortality. But I tell you this, that sometime, someplace, somewhere you must set your feet upon the Path with the God-determination that knows no retreat. And if you will do this, you will obtain your freedom - and that is all there is to it! And if you do not do it, ladies and gentlemen, you will remain in your chains, you will remain in your bondage, and you will remain fastened to the planetary body without knowing how to escape.
The question then is: having once determined to do this, shall you be turned back and deterred by those forces which would destroy you? I tell you nay! For upon every occasion when you may fall to the earth, you must arise and say: "O beloved God Self of me, take me by the hand and once again let me walk upon thy holy path that leads to the light supernal. Take me by the hand. Take me by the heart, and lead my heart by reins of light."
O precious ones, "All's well that ends well," and all shall end well for all who do well. And yet this deep subject seems difficult to probe because mankind seem to generate so much lack of confidence in others and also convey this same lack of confidence to themselves upon some occasions, and yet they are a little bit more charitable to themselves than they are to others in many cases. But I think, beloved ones, that the hour of the divine appearing which is at hand is bringing many to a sense of victory that shall eventuate in America's freedom manifesting to a greater degree, and the freedom of the world shall be obtained in due course of time.
O thou legions of violet flame, thou angels of light, legions of light which comforted the Christ in Gethsemane, comfort thou these thy people who have long followed the I AM Law of Life. Comfort thou those who know not the Law of Life. Comfort thou this planetary body according to the degree of each man's own cup of receptivity. And let there flash forth now from the octaves of light on high a manifestation of thy supreme glory through thy heavenly messengers. [pause]
As you drink in now the mighty presence of the angelic host, bear in mind that the torch of your freedom has been lit. Bear in mind that you must hold it high. Bear in mind that you must carry it to a successful conclusion. Bear in mind that you must bear it before men. Bear in mind that as you merge the light of the torches of freedom from each one of your hearts, it shall create a conflagration that shall enlargen the borders of God's kingdom on this entire planetary body.
I would like to say to you in closing that there is no heart in this place that is hid from me. Your thoughts I could declare. I could declare them this night and speak them to all. And yet, I have borrowed from at least one of you the musings of your heart and have carried them to you tonight because those thoughts were of worth. And yet, thoughts of worth have passed across the screen of the minds of many of you. I am grateful. Continue to think well, for in thinking well and in doing well you will obtain an end that can be said is well done. Inasmuch as one of the names I long ago used was Count Weldon, I think you will recognize there is some significance tonight in that which I say.
I ask, therefore, that you listen now with great care; for I would like a period of silence to be obtained in this room, insofar as human voices or thoughts are concerned, for a period of five minutes. I do not object to music, I prefer it, but I ask that you absorb the radiation of the angels which shall descend to your hearts this night and abide till the morn. And as the morrow dawns, it is our intent to exalt you to a higher step upon the stairway of life. We do this to none who are unwilling, only to those who have requested our assistance.
May I bow to the light within thy heart. Thank you and good evening.

SAINT GERMAIN. Keepers of the Flame Fraternity. Long ago Sanat Kumara, the Ancient of Days, came to Earth from Venus to keep the flame of life, that you and I might live and one day know the self as God. When cosmic councils had determined that no further opportunity should be given humanity - so great their departure from cosmic law, their desecration of the flame - Sanat Kumara raised his hand and offered his heart to serve the souls of mankind until the few and eventually the many would respond to keep the flame of life. Granted the dispensation by solar lords, Sanat Kumara came with many volunteers who vowed to support him in his mission as Keeper of the Flame. He established his focus in the Gobi Sea, now the Gobi Desert. And there at Shamballa he remained to tend the sacred fires until some among mankind would rise from the low estate to which they had descended by their ignorance (ignoring) of the law of the flame. Through adoration and invocation, Sanat Kumara and his band of devotees magnified the trinity of cosmic consciousness which in the original creation the Lord God had placed as the flame of life within his sons and daughters. The flame that burns within your heart is the fiery core of cosmic consciousness. It is your link to reality, to being, and to life eternal. The flame comes forth from the heart of God, the I AM Presence. It is your identification mark as a son or daughter of God. It is the anointing of the Real Self of all who choose to keep it in his name. Your threefold flame is, in fact, God. It is life and truth and love. It is a sacred fire kindled on heaven's altars. It is a spiritual fire not native to the material plane. Anchored in time and space, burning on the altar of the heart for the salvation of the soul, this flame, in order to be retained, must be acknowledged and adored. Through prayer and meditation, it must be expanded to magnify the Lord on earth as in heaven. This is to increase God Self-awareness in oneself and in all mankind; for the flame is consciousness, intelligence, intuition, love, understanding, and will. All attributes of real being come forth from the flame, for the flame is the Word, the Logos, without whom was not any thing made that was made. To be a keeper of the flame is to live to preserve the sacredness of life in all. When men cease to be their brother's keeper, they cease to keep the flame. The consequence for the total disregard for the sacredness of life is total cataclysm - of body, mind, soul. On such acts continents have sunk, worlds have been destroyed. In this day and age men and women dare not ask, as did Cain, "Am I my brother's keeper?" But rather, when given the opportunity to account for life, "How can I keep the flame of life for a planet and a people?" Jesus and Gautama and the avatars and saints of the ages, overcoming the curse of Cain, have one and all laid down their lives for their friends. They are the true keepers of the flame. They have held the torch and passed it from hand to hand, heart to heart, through the ages, that you and I might take it again to master life's sacred energies and one day take our place with the immortals. Down through the ages, members of the Great White Brotherhood have come forth to sponsor uplift movements and to assist mankind in every aspect of his evolution. Great artists, inventors, scientists, statesmen, and religious leaders have been sponsored by various members of hierarchy as they formed the avant-garde of achievement in their field. In the early 1960s, Saint Germain contacted his embodied representative the Messenger Mark L. Prophet and founded the Keepers of the Flame Fraternity in memory of the Ancient of Days and his first pupil, Prince Siddhartha. Marking the way of Gautama, Maitreya and Jesus, Confucius and Mohammed, and all who responded to the light and the call of Sanat Kumara, he dedicated his organization to the rekindling of the light of freedom in the souls of humanity. For those aspiring to serve with members of hierarchy, the Keepers of the Flame Fraternity provides the counterpart here below to the Brotherhood above.
