Hail, Keepers of the Flame! Hail, sons and daughters of God! Hail, New Atlanteans! I am come to resurrect the life of the ancient civilizations in the hour of the glory of the feminine ray - in the hour of the glory of the Divine Manchild.
Thus as you clear away the debris
And the dust of centuries,
You see Poseidon rise
Upward toward the skies
That all mankind might know and see and be
The fullness of their cosmic destiny.
I am the exponent of freedom to the age, and my flame is with me. I come carrying a scroll, a scroll of freedom which marks the emancipation of life. Emancipation is a light; and it is the Word - the Word that is sent forth from Alpha and Omega in this hour that mankind might know, standing in the fullness of that shower of light. Behold! Legions of angels now descend! They come in armor to defend the right to overcome, the right to speak out, the right to represent the God as they see him.
It is not the desire of the ascended masters to force mankind into a religion that is not the religion of their choice. But it is the determination of the ascended masters to clear the cobwebs and the false doctrines from the air, from the water, from the earth, and from the etheric bodies of all mankind, so that in their freedom and in their exercise of free will they will make right choices.
Precious hearts of light, the descending of the fiat of Alpha and Omega is the proclamation that the momentums of ancient service, ancient illumination, the ancient contributions of lightbearers back to the very first, second, and third root races which evolved upon this planetary body, will now be made available to the Christ consciousness, the solar awareness, of all mankind, and especially the devotees of light. This means that the momentums of ascended masters, beings who walked the earth thousands and thousands of years previous to this time, can now be used by you for the final victory that must precede the dawn of the golden age.
Now I said that these momentums would be available to the Christ consciousness and the solar awareness. Thus unless mankind will consciously make attunement with the Christ-potential and with the soul, they will not have the energies which they require. For how can mankind receive, through the density of outer desire, outer manifestation, the fullness of the light that has been held in abeyance for centuries, waiting the hour when mankind would use that light for purity, for reality, for victory?
Do you understand, precious hearts? You who have invoked the full-gathered momentum of the Great White Brotherhood for many years, do you understand that indeed this power has always been available? But a more than ordinary release shall come forth from this hour hence until all energies which can be released from hearts of fire, from ancient record, have fulfilled that spiral in mankind's consciousness for the victory of the light and the victory of the age.
Now I am come this day to show you how as the cycles of karma are released, as mankind's destiny is fulfilled, each day another aspect of the dust of centuries comes to the fore for transmutation. It is not possible to clear the karma of an entire civilization in one fell swoop; and yet I say, you have made a most noble effort and you have struck a blow for the LORD that will have a telling action, that will leave its mark.
But I say in the words of Jesus, "Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof." Thus the energy veil of which he spake must be transmuted daily and in each twenty-four-hour cycle. Do you understand that if you let a day pass when you do not call for the transmutation - and specifically we are talking about the transmutation of ancient records dating far back, several hundred thousand years and more - if you let one cycle pass where you do not direct your attention to that transmutation, there will be the passing of an opportunity for the transmutation of a certain aspect of human infamy.
And thus I say, if you would lay the foundation for the seventh root race - for souls desiring to precipitate and to take their place - understand, precious hearts, that we need servants of light who will stand united, stand and still stand, and remain in the oneness of the flame, remain constant in their dedication and invocation against all odds. Yes, I know the odds; for I perceive how the demons taunt each one of you when it is time to decree and time to pray. I see the interferences; and one and all, you must know that these interferences are contrived.
Let not then your human sympathy or family ties prevent you from your service to the light. As Jesus said, "And a man's foes shall be they of his own household." For those nearest you and dearest to you can be used as a ploy in the very moment, in the very hour when the ascended hosts stand above you in a ring of fire, in a circle of light, waiting to receive your call and your energies for the fulfillment of the light.
Do you not understand that when you give in to the human consciousness, you are betraying your true family of light? You are betraying your true and only friends of light, the ascended hosts. Thus, precious hearts, understand that they count on you. We count on you as you count on us.
What would you say if in an emergency you called, "Saint Germain, come and help me! I call in the name of God! I need help right now for this situation!" and if I answered and said, "I must first go and visit my mother-in-law in a distant city and I will return in three days and then I will help you"? And what would you think of hierarchy? What would you think of the dependability of cosmic law?
I must say to you that there are students of light who have been with this activity and other activities for years, but would they ever put aside the family ties in a moment of crisis when the Law requires that energy? Nay, the family comes first to them - first, last, and always - and then their submission to cosmic law and the ascended hosts. I tell you, precious ones, these individuals then become a law unto themselves. They cannot be counted upon; they cannot be depended upon.
Why then did Jesus say, "I came not to send peace on earth but a sword and to set at variance the members of the same household"? Why did he speak so often on forsaking those ties? Why did he speak as in the operetta of "H.M.S. Pinafore" of "his sisters and his cousins and his aunts"? Do you remember that line? Do you remember the ties of family that go back centuries and centuries? Thus the Hindus have said that all mankind are related. If you are all related, then think of the weight and the pull of family mesmerism that besets the race.
Have mercy upon your God, for God has mercy upon you! He therefore that sets his hand to the plough, let him not look back if he would be counted worthy in running the race with the Christ.
Precious hearts, I warn you of this plot because I see it descending as a net over the heads of many of the students of light, both here and in far places, who will hear this address. I tell you once and for all: If you would do the masters' bidding and if you would answer our call, you must be free! You must be free from all entanglements, all associations that steal your energy from your service to the light. This is the first requirement of disciples on the Path. And then when you are free from the human consciousness, you set about building those divine relationships upon earth, holy friendships. Working together, you find that the Holy Family is the basic unit of the Aquarian age and the divine society. And thus hearts united in love, bringing forth the Christ, have the honor of both heaven and earth. And thus, you see, there is room for friendship and sacred ties in infinity and in the finite world.
And therefore I am not suggesting that you sever yourself from all people and hide yourself in a corner and have no friendships, no loves, no family. For these are necessary for the expression, the full expression, of the light of the Godhead. I am talking only about those possessive, dominating ties, those individuals who would take you from your service, who desire to be with you only that they might control you and steal your light. SAINT GERMAIN. Keepers of the Flame Fraternity (2). In the Keepers of the Flame Lessons, the ascended masters have carefully set forth the true teachings of Christ, which have been held for mankind for thousands of years in the archives of the retreats of the Great White Brotherhood. Many of these teachings were originally brought forth in the power of the spoken Word by the messengers of hierarchy. However, their disciples did not always record their words; and when they did, the written record was often later lost or destroyed. In other cases, and this is frequently true in the sacred scriptures of the world, the record is incomplete. Whether by ignorance or by malice, some of the greatest teachings, and indeed the teachings that are key to the implementation of the law of the flame, have been omitted. It is these keys which the ascended masters give to their chelas - keys to that self-mastery which replaces every form of idolatry and, above all, the key to the identification of the Real Self as God which replaces the doctrine of the synthetic self wherever it appears. The lessons deal with a practical understanding of the law of karma and re-embodiment, of the transmutation - through invocation of the sacred fire - of the misqualified energies of this and all previous lives.
