Beloved El Morya and Mother Mary - February 15, 1963

Vol. 6 No. 7 - Beloved El Morya and Mother Mary - February 15, 1963

Brotherhood is manifest in the twining of human energies around the Heart of God, fired into shining bands of Golden Understanding and forged by Illumination's Golden Flame. Brotherhood: How like a mirage you have seemed to men!

Whatever the attitudes which have divided men in the past, these will continue to divide them until a higher state of attunement with God, Self, and Man is reached. As a caterpillar sheds its cocoon, so must men leave behind outgrown encumbrances and divisive factors. It is not sufficient for a few good men to champion the Causes of Brotherhood, albeit Heaven knows their energies are needed! The garlands of the Spiritual Principle of Brotherhood must be cherished by all nations, by all people, and actively honored by men of every organized religion.

It was due to the lack of Christian Brotherhood in action that communism was spawned upon the world scene. It will be the institution of a genuine and penetrating Faith that crosses the lines of religious idealism, dogma, creed and class distinction which will prove to be the universally needed solvent to vitalize and magnify the expansion of World Brotherhood.

Problems facing the world community are identical to those which challenge city and state governments, although chauvinism and separatism are magnified and more complicated in the larger community. The world scene is also blighted by areas of superstition and ignorance, whose taboos hinder progress and impede the establishment of wells of understanding. To launch a spiritual attack against impersonal, entrenched divisions is permissible through the effort of united prayer to exalt once again the original Spirit of Christian Brotherhood. It is for this service that We look to the Chelas of The Great Brotherhood at the seven o'clock (EST) vigil during the coming week.

Men must always guard against personalizing their own conduct or accepting as personal the wrong behavior of another. Beloved Ones, many people who possess little conscious understanding of their own tendencies to use a "defense mechanism" to preserve their cherished human citadel nevertheless resort to such old psychological defenses which have been the forte of the crafty for centuries. Among their ruses is the process of "assumption" whereby they anticipate a negative response and, in the very act of repelling it, they determine, by another's reaction, whether or not the defense was really needed at all.

An example may be drawn from life in the attitude of those who stand with a "chip on their shoulder" ready to rise in behalf of some zealously guarded personal belief or idiosyncrasy. When their challenge is accepted they think their belligerence was justifiable in the first place. When their harshness is repelled with the "soft answer that turneth away wrath" (Prov. 15:l), they often become most conciliatory. Their sole purpose was a method of determining another's thoughts or course of action for or against what they have conceived as their identity and set up as the law of their sphere of influence. When men pick up every gauntlet that is cast down, whether thoughtlessly or intentionally, they frequently close the door against understanding and true Brotherhood. At moments calling for quick decision and Ascended Master God-Control, it is well to remember the Psalmist's words: "Surely the wrath of man shall praise thee: the remainder of wrath shalt thou restrain" (Ps. 76:10).

While all such factors of human nature may be understood by the illumined Chela, the Faith of that Chela must ever stand in the Radiance of that Brotherhood, which flows from the Unity of the Presence of God in Life rather than from mere human idealism. The idols of men and kings have often led mankind astray, for all standards set by human idealism rather than by Divine Ideals engender the necessity to judge in order to sustain the "right" action of those personal and limiting concepts of what "ought" and "ought not" to be. When judgment is exercised, whether righteously or erroneously, it often is symptomatic of the following complex human equation:

Most men presently in embodiment have been victims, in either the present or the past, of some degree of personal sin or error of omission or commission. Honest men find it difficult to speak out as strongly as they might against the error of those who are performing the same mistakes they themselves have made in the past. Dishonest men take full advantage of the lofty post of Judge in order to sit in the "seat of the scornful" while lifting themselves by unjust human imagination to a false position which will one day be righted by the tipping of the Karmic Scales into balance.

The truly wise leave all Judgment to God and pursue Brotherhood as a Spiritual Ideal, ever holding the concept of Discipleship and the Ascension into Perfection, while keeping the door to true Brotherhood open. Such as these compassionately recognize all men as climbing step by step the rungs of the ladder of attainment and, although they may dwell temporarily upon the different heights to which they have attained, the wise foretell the Day of their ultimate Victory above the stages and steps of all human concepts and hold for their brother-pilgrims the Immaculate Concept of Perfect Christ Discrimination.

The Brotherhood of Man, when under the Fatherhood of God, is a true rock of Gibraltar to the Planet Earth. All that betrays this Brotherhood is each man's own betrayer; all that aids this Brotherhood is cooperative Love for the Saviour of the world.

"Lord, when saw I thee an hungered, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink? When saw I thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee? When saw I thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee? ... Verily I say unto you, inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me" (Matt. 25:37-40).

     Vondir, Champions of Right!

EL MORYA

     Beloved Mother Mary

Human concepts have been long in developing and, once developed, they have been rigidly perpetuated. Each succeeding generation carries forward the "torch" of human custom and knowledge by feeding them with their attention. It is wonderful then that the state of the world, such as it is, remains as good as it is.

Notwithstanding, Beloved Ones, Life can be better, O so much better, and few who read this can imagine - even in their extended imaginations - just how glorious all things can really be. Yet the present needs of the world must be met in the Holy Name of Progress!

Were the whole world to face a famine, pestilence, or a natural catastrophe, the hearts, heads and hands of the planet would stand together, shoulder to shoulder in mutual defense of all untoward conditions. When such problems would be met and dissipated, men would quickly forget their Unity and return to old animosities. Why is this so true? Beloved Ones, men suffer mainly from aloneness and a feeling of separateness, upheld by the fatal need to preserve the false sense of life which does not even give them a fraction of the beauty their Souls deserve.

The "Golden Lamp" of Spiritual Education is the crying need of the hour. Almost every possible avenue for spiritual education is presently choked by biased secular and sectarian concepts and methods. Dogmatic interpretations are persistently held paramount over Brotherhood; the age-old ignorances of men are carefully preserved and made palatable to contemporary man by new disguises in defiance of Progress in Understanding. Amidst this frightful delaying action which deprives men of the Kingdom of Heaven, the militant and entrenched evils of humanity arise, garbed in robes of social righteousness; these promise the captives of their own lies a "form" of liberty while leading them further into the abyss of materialism and those shameful tyrannies whose very tenets are but a parody on true Liberty!

That Love, for which My Son served and through which He hoped to unite the Sons of men, is the strongest possible Power to unite the Sons and Daughters of Heaven today in the true understanding that it is Spiritual Brotherhood, the union of unascended men and women with Us and with God, that will bring forth Peace on Earth. No mere physical union, be it compounded by the world's most brilliant social scientists, can equal or compare with the blueprint of Cosmic Glory engraved by the Hand of God within each human heart as Immortal Life in Self-sustaining action!

When the wonders of Resurrection in consciousness are experienced by all men, even as they were by My Son Jesus, they too shall say, "I AM the Light of the world," and so will it be. Each Son and Daughter of Heaven who occupies himself in being about the Father's business is an ally of the Carpenter of Nazareth who will come to equal Sonship while showing and teaching all men the most wonderful Way through which everyone may achieve world Unity and Brotherhood.

Columbus,1 too, bore Christ to the New World and now the New World must return to the fold of that Love in Christ which makes one World Brotherhood whose combined essences in effect inculcate in man's society the Order and Grace of the Hierarchy of Heaven! Safe, then, are the Sons and Daughters in the everlasting arms of the Father-Mother God. Venturing forth from the hallowed Mansions of God above, they come to Earth bearing Peace and Healing to the nations. May I say of Thee, "Of such are Ye"?

     I remain forever your Mother,

MARY
