I Extend the Cup of God-Identity -
Beloved Jesus has significantly conveyed our joint thoughts to you concerning human and divine ideas about Life. We strongly advise shunning the wrong idea that Life is formidable or austere and advocate replacing it with the right idea that Life is a marvelous divine opportunity.
Blessed ones, Life is full of perfect hope, glorious love, and an ultimate destiny which transcends all mortal dreams. It is essential that the true disciple master the means of transmuting whatever outer condition seeks to corrupt the Life principle. The idea that each life is a manifestation of God must become permanent in the heart of every disciple.
Now, the son of God is expected to be like his Father as he asserts control over the natural elements of the earth. All of the elements of physical matter which the ancient alchemists categorized under the headings of fire, air, water, and earth are under the custodianship of the Nature spirits, called elementals. Salamanders, sylphs, undines, and gnomes are subservient to their hierarchs who direct natural forces as servants of the Father and his sons.
As such, the elementals have no innate rights or bestowal of authority for self-government. Acting on the command of Elohim and the Four Cosmic Forces, they also respond by nature to varying stimuli, both human and divine. Under the extreme burden of mankind's imposed discord, the elementals, like children out-of-sorts, do not always obey the hierarchs of their respective domains. Conflicting planetary forces, inharmony among their numbers, and overbearing planetary karma results in natural cataclysms which bring on untold human suffering.
This is unnecessary, and for that reason beloved Nada, Chohan of the Sixth Ray, advocates in the name of divine love and devotion that every sincere disciple ponder the example of beloved Jesus' control of the elements and their obedience to him.1 Each chela can learn to direct natural forces, as greater and more significant spiritual achievement becomes a fait accompli in his life.
My brothers and sisters - it cannot be overstated that peace and harmony are the key to your God-control whereby you gain entrée and take dominion in all octaves of natural life. Thus, with all your heart, still the tempestuous emotions, cast anger, revenge, and hatred into the sacred fire forever, and wage the warfare of the Spirit against the ego with its pride, ambition, and cunning. A word to the wise is sufficient unto the victory.
Because ideas and concepts are so important, and further, because thought is so far-reaching, we have advocated that the disciple emulate the Master by first giving obedience to his own God Self. A real disciple acts as an extension of the divine will, an arm of his I AM Presence, and reaches out to command in order that Life may obey the same divine will which has become the conscious controlling factor in his world and mind. "Not my will but Thine be done!"2 is the perpetual prayer of disciples who would subdue the wind and the wave of the physical as well as the astral sea.
Some have thought God's will to be entirely contrary to human will, and this, too, is a part of man's unfortunate heritage of error. God desires man to be eternally happy and to live here and now in abundance.3 The Father desires the best gifts for his beloved son and knows that any privation experienced by the prodigal is self-imposed by his own wrong thoughts, which by cosmic law must return to him for redemption.
Human will is often destructive, but not always - for in many areas man's will has become imbued with enough sense of cosmic righteousness that he actively seeks cooperation with God. Such unity between the divine and human will is brought about as you surrender (even as you subdue) the carnal will, invoking the power of Archangel Michael to bind the force of the anti-will, and the alchemy of the violet-flame angels to clear the way for your soul's expression of the pristine purity of the divine image which is the hope of your world.
I am strongly advocating that every disciple take seriously his responsibility to be an example of the Father's love and to accept the wonders of each day as a segment of eternity given into his keeping and trust. To embellish Life by correctly using your talents is never a matter of gilding the lily, blessed ones. Do not fear to do your part as God wants you to. Accept the rigors of karmic conditions only as a temporary necessity, and realize that you have within your grasp the power of Light to change every wrong condition into Christ-victorious accomplishment!
Many people are frustrated by religious doctrine and scriptural interpretations which have been imposed upon them by those who honestly believe they are doing God's will. Blessed ones, the time has come when these weary prisoners (both the spiritually blind and their blinded followers) shall go free. "Verily, verily, I say unto you, The hour is coming, and now is, when the dead [the dead in sin and ignorance, soon to be quickened by Christ's forgiveness] shall hear the voice of the Son of God: and they that hear shall live."4
Verily, verily we declare unto you, Life is God, Life is glory, Life is just, hopeful, merciful, and wonderful! And Life will be the crown of your Christ-accomplishment when at last you realize and accept within your soul that these statements are indeed Truth!
The Taj Mahal is a dream in marble, but Life is more splendid still. For it is God's living artistry - more wonderful than the greatest examples of human love ever externalized.
"Let not your heart be troubled. Ye believe in God, believe also in me."5 With these words, beloved Jesus explained the intimate contact between the evolving soul personality and the Holy Christ Self. He admonished that the student should not let his heart be troubled by outer conditions, for as he believes in God as omniscient, so he must believe that such omniscience is in direct touch with him through the Great Mediator, who is Christ.
It is the Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom.6 Therefore, when the mirrored reflection becomes one with the immortality of the Architect's design, the gift is at last received.
The servant is not greater than his lord.7 Truly, humility is valuable if it be neither false nor servile; but greater still is the realization that if man is made in the divine image, it is right that he should be as great as his LORD intends, which intent is nothing less than the complete identification of the servant with his LORD - his Mighty "I AM" Presence.
The cup of God-identity is offered to each disciple, and drinking all of it8 means immortal gain; for his partaking of the divine essence, by free will, is the natural means of escape from human bondage.
Fear keeps men bound, for they fear to believe lest they be found gullible and they fear to doubt lest heaven spurn them. Teach them to pay homage neither to belief nor doubt but, in being true to themselves, to remember the words of Descartes, who declared, "I think, therefore I am."9 Let men perceive by logic that inasmuch as they live and affirm "I am," therefore God lives to create and affirm "I AM THAT I AM" and to sustain his creation!
Saint Augustine in his City of God draws worded images of the heavenly hierarchy, but these magnificent passages are limited by comparison to the actual glories themselves when perceived by the full-orbed vision of the expanding soul.
Remember, blessed ones, sectarian teachers who would proselyte the souls of men are usually not content to let them tarry in indecision but seek to force acceptance of that which they believe to be true. Teachers of Truth, arise to the Law of Love! Divine Justice sends forth to each lifestream the immortal call to his own immortal destiny. To every son of God the highest goal is made plain.
No one should make a decision based on the emotional pressures of fear. It is the Ascended Masters' intent that in the golden age all people on earth should dwell in harmony. If teachers of spiritual principles compel their neighbors to don their dogma and wear it precisely as they do, they will alienate souls and prevent the tender sprouts of Truth (which ought to be offered graciously in the name of freedom) from taking root and growing in the fertile field of consciousness. Let our teachers hearken to the golden words: "Love thy neighbor as thyself,"10 and give Truth as they themselves would like to receive it - freely, simply, and not too much at a time.
Try to realize that the power of conversion is the gift of the Holy Spirit alone; hence, man is compelled by his own spirit to accept the idea of his own immortal existence (which only fools or the godless deny). Out of this initiatic idea of one's immortality - the eternality of self, spanning past, present, and future ages - each day unfolds from within a greater understanding of divine Law.
Do not try to rush your own or your neighbor's comprehension, blessed children of the Light. Let patience have her perfect work11 as you realize that your diligence in pursuing the Path according to the best within you is God's way of encouraging self-disciplined action in others.
Free from human oppression, each lifestream that issues from the Sun Source will ultimately come forward joyfully to the altar of Truth, seeking to be illumined by his own Great God Self, the omnipresent I AM of Being!
The Ascended Masters' guidance is invaluable to all who are striving to increase the scope of their understanding of the self (psyche) in God. We release a continuous stream of divine wisdom to augment the interpretive ability of every seeker that he may cherish the deep things of God. We make the entire concept of Life more beautiful for all children of the Light, simply because its premise is God!
Because Life is God, reverence for it will make it more wonderful. Gratitude will expand its blessings and victory will crown its achievements.
Disciples, remember: glorious opportunities await your discovery daily!
