DISCIPLESHIP
Corona Class Lesson 27
Vision
" ... Senses Exercised to Discern Good and Evil"

To the God-Victorious Disciples Who Pursue the Master's Eternally Perfect Vision of Beauty and Love -

The disciple in imitation of the Master1 is expected to assimilate an intense feeling of oneness with his Great God Source. "I AM in the Father and the Father is in me"2 was the statement which I used often in order to anchor the affirmation of true being within my thinking and feeling worlds. Unlimited good will come to all who faithfully use this statement as a divine decree (mantra) and acknowledge this blessed concept of their cosmic unity with God.

Whatever the appearance, blessed ones, through affirming your unlimited attunement with God, you are able to rise above it! It ought to be known that merely thinking upon God is a tangible link connecting the world of the disciple directly with the Father of all.

Intellectualism, pride of person, and pride of accomplishment are deterrents to the unfoldment of that loving Christ consciousness which can be developed through realizing that it is God within you who is permanently acting through you to fulfill your highest good and to express the allness (beingness) of his nature.

Your physical senses ought not to be desecrated by your holding in mind the idea that, because they are physical and `outer' in nature, they are necessarily sensuous. Such old-fashioned ideas only give power to evil! Quite the reverse, your senses, as instruments of your Christ nature, have the inherent power to discern both Good and Evil and therefore to protect you by foreknowledge from the wiles of the `Evil One.'3 This discernment serves as a protection to your vision of God as the All-Good, that it might not be marred.

I am declaring that, in order to drink of the cup of discipleship, you must be constantly aware that all things that come from Above (from your Higher Consciousness) are good and pure so long as they are immaculately sustained as divine ideas or chalices therefor.4 Hence, the instruments of seeing, hearing, smelling, tasting, and feeling are hallowed when you use them to take delight in the Great Cosmic Law.

By the power of Truth, affirm your perfect sight to be the vision of God, an activity of the formless Law, expressing the geometrical perfection of that Law in flawless form - and train yourself to screen out what has no part with that perfect vision.

The voice of God, referred to as both the "still small voice"5 and the "voice of many waters,"6 must be understood to be the vibratory action of the Great Law which can be heard by a disciple (who is attuned with his inner Self) as the living Word of God. The taste of the divine nectar is the sweetness of the Law of the LORD in which the sincere of every race and creed will take conscious delight.7

The prayers of the saints were referred to as a sweet incense unto the LORD by my beloved disciple John, as he wrote down my Revelation.8 I am certain that these prayers resemble the calls of the sincere disciples of the present for the perfection of themselves and the world to be made manifest.

Purity of heart creates a vehicle through which the radiance of divine love manifests as a floral perfume to the outer self and as a blessing to the inner man. Your feelings, blessed ones, especially the sense of touch, are your means of communication with the outer Matter density, preparing you for contact with Spirit's intensity.

It should always be realized that all substance is divine and has a core of pure light. This fact will enable you to bless all that you touch with the God-radiance which shines forth from within your developing heart flame. The realization that you already possess spiritual senses and that these manifest through the physical senses is the key to raising the physical senses into their divinely intended functions.

The notion that the corporeal senses of mankind are of themselves evil must be denied, whereas putting these wonderful channels to use in acquiring knowledge concerning the soul's environment and karmic circumstance should be pursued. Exalt all vision, hearing, tasting, smelling, and feeling as an adjunct to victorious discipleship!

The students of this Light which we transmit herewith should determine to acknowledge the perfection of these faculties of perception, no matter what the appearance. The affirmation "I AM the Resurrection and the Life of my perfect seeing, hearing, feeling, tasting, and smelling now made manifest!" should be repeated often in order to raise the senses to their natural and spiritual perfection - sharper than a two-edged sword when probing the physical dimensions.

The purified consciousness when put to its best use is ever so effective in quickly changing the thought from the shadows of error-inducing unhappiness to pure Christ-vision. Thus cleansed, the student observes the Great Law producing eternal joy within his members9 whenever that Law is called into action.

I have given the foregoing commentary in order to correct the mistaken idea that the world is evil or that the body of man is vile, imperfect, or impure. The idea that a person, place, or condition is inherently bad - when held in mind - can actually result in a manifestation of imperfection. Only by recognizing the perfection of the God Source can the students of the Light externalize the Father's perfect world - in themselves and in all others.

Certain of the early Christian writers have been greatly misunderstood and, in some cases - although they were truly seekers and endowed with great spiritual blessings - they did not always apprehend every divine principle as clearly as they might have. They continued to "see through a glass darkly," but through subsequent embodiments and since their ascension, they have been able to see "face to face."10

Quite naturally, when such a disciple ascends and realizes, to his dismay, that he is responsible for setting forth or even codifying error in his writings and teaching, he does his best from inner levels to correct his mistakes by attempting to open the way for his followers to manifest a more perfect understanding.

Unfortunately, many who have been influenced by the best of men and women who set such devout examples as to be considered almost infallible have gotten stuck in doctrinal error. Out of a false sense of loyalty to the saints and the Holy Church (for one's true loyalty ought to remain tethered to Truth as to the water of Life - uncircumscribed by the vessel), these students have not kept up with the spiritual strides of their teachers. Alas, the only recourse of the ascended saint to correct that error has been through channels outside the confines of established orthodoxy.

When a church or a world religion no longer admits to that progressive revelation which truly is forthcoming, it blocks the direct interaction of the faithful with the ascended founder. The open-minded and forward-moving disciples ought to be free to forgive the past errors of their teachers while still exalting the Light these teachers did indeed bring forth while in embodiment, albeit circumscribed by the then-established interpretations of Holy Writ.

One example of a major loss which occurred through just such a refusal of the clergy to move forward with Holy Truth is the present denial of or utter silence on the doctrine of reincarnation and the preexistence of the soul, taught both by me and my disciples and by Origen of Alexandria, which has been confirmed many times over in the direct experiences of the saints and just ordinary people.

If the embodied disciples of a living Ascended Master do not allow that Master to progress beyond his attainment at the conclusion of his final embodiment, then how can the disciples expect to move forward in the expanding Light of cosmos! Progress as progressive revelation is the law of spiritual evolution. For with each new level of attainment, even after the ascension, vistas of knowledge transcending the old open before the soul. And some of this knowledge will even seem to contradict one's former understanding or prophetic insights, even as a child grows into new truths and discards the outworn mode of expression.

Thus, I admonish patience with the Word, with its exponents, and with oneself. My disciples through the ages have done the best they knew how at their level of perception; and when they knew better, having transcended a few veils, they brought forth from the next level of their comprehension revelations which exalted all who were moving up the mountain with them.

Thus, do not shun the prophet in your midst, nor judge him too harshly. For he is willing to improve, even to shuffle off this mortal coil entirely, if you will allow it. Give him the freedom to be who he is - as God gives to you the same - and in so doing you will find that the Great Law will also impel you to "Come up higher!"

One of the main reasons for being a disciple is to become more like the Master, who has an eternally perfect vision. Either one's own blessed God Presence and Holy Christ Self or the perfection of the Ascended Masters should be emulated at all times. Mimicry of human ideas and figureheads has brought about untold distress, while imitation of the ascended beings does just the opposite and therefore should be all the more encouraged by sincere seekers.

Unfortunately, would-be disciples frequently become so involved in the utter importance of their own ideas that they lose sight of the Father's plan - which, after all, is but the organization of God's ideas! In order for you to be a genuine disciple, many outworn concepts must be cast aside. Often the way turns out to be not as it was thought at the beginning, but is found to rise sharply at one point so as to almost leave the human totally behind.

This break with the patterns of human identity is frightening to some who do not realize that a disciple's inner contract with God includes renouncing the works of the mass mind to the point of not even looking back (nevertheless retaining that heart discrimination that chooses the right and rejects the wrong).

When this happens before heaven is in view or the spiritual visions and perceptions have been focused and opened, it sometimes (at least in his imagination) leaves the student almost mortified with the sense of a spiritual vacuum. Confusion and a wish to escape have caused some of these to be "turned into pillars of salt" by reason of their continuing to look backward on their once rejected and renounced human way of living and seeing.

For this reason, in this Pearl of Wisdom I am releasing the idea of perceiving in the immediate octave the beauty and love of God in manifestation. Searching diligently, find out how much natural beauty you can perceive all around you each day. Draw forth the divine perfection inherent within all Life you contact and thus magnify the kingdom of God.

Behold the fresh pages of each day as a scroll of opportunity to express the law of discipleship. You are by the grace of God becoming more like the Master as you imitate his actions.

The Ascended Masters are examples of perfection and they invite you to be like them. Reconsecrate yourself daily to the path of renewing the beauty within persons, places, conditions, and things all ways. Determine to raise your thought of the world above the battleground of Good and Evil to the place of holy communion.

Blessed ones, it is true that the acceptance of evil has created hideous and frightening appearances - but as disciples, you must exercise great care that you do not further amplify human difficulty. To you it is given to clearly know the mysteries and to take constructive dominion over each imperfect manifestation by blazing the violet fire of freedom's forgiving love into every condition you sense requires it.

I am certain that as you glimpse the inward vision of my thought, it will work miracle-producing wonders of happiness for you. It is my mission to serve my brothers and sisters continually by giving my energy to exalt the world into the purity of the ascension.

I AM your brother of Light,

Jesus the Christ
