In the holiness of God I AM Gabriel, pleased to be in the midst of this company. Therefore, I summon legions of Light. And they have circled this city round for the profound purpose, beloved, of building walls of light to seal Light and banish Darkness.
Long has heaven waited for a response that could draw forth such intercession as to raise a pillar of fire in the midst thereof. Let us see, then, that the Lightbearers of this area in a one-hundred-mile radius should rally round the pillar of Ascension's Flame and abandon their dancing round the golden calf. (I was there on Atlantis and in the Arian dispensation when the worship of this form did predominate.)
Thus, beloved, treasure the Light and know that the few are counted of the Almighty One for the saving of cities and nations. Thus, for the saving of a city or the saving of the Lightbearers I come, that by the direction of the Almighty One there might be extended an increase of sacred fire.
Beloved, it is the increase of Light1 oncoming in the earth that veritably does cause cataclysm, such as earthquake in the "new city" of Los Angeles,2 called so, for it comes on the site of an ancient Lemurian city.
Know, then, as it has been said, that the light intensifies from the Central Sun, for cosmic spirals move on with or without the awareness of those who prefer to sleep and perhaps to die rather than awaken to the full responsibility of divine Sonship with all that it portends.
Many prefer not to be awake. And therefore I, Gabriel, say, America, awake! and take note that when elemental life can no longer bear the alchemy of oncoming light midst the plane of darkness, it is earth herself that must give way.3
What is the purpose, then, of earth changes but that the earth body and her evolutions that will to survive - fully awakened as the Buddha - might contain a new light for the new dispensation. I doubt very much that any among you would disagree with me or the view of all Seven Archangels that earth cannot continue in the present round of discord, dissonance, war, plague and death.
Beloved, something must give! And it is our desire to see those for whom we are the Teachers understand that it is the giving up of the lesser self - its displacement by the incarnation of the Word where you are - that is the offering, the acceptable offering, upon the altar of God whereby transition into a new light and age could come about without the destructivity that may ensue unless many thousands more respond to the call of the noble brother Saint Germain to keep the flame of Life.
Thus, beloved, there are no shortcuts to the salvation of a planet and a people. Nevertheless, the single anointed one who will claim his Christhood and call forth the Father and the Son to take up their abode in his temple,4 that one may displace the Darkness of ten thousand-times-ten thousand individuals. Thus, the quality of Light, of the internalization of the Word - it is that which we seek. And for this reason and to this end we have sent forth our Messenger, that a people might know that victory is within their grasp.
O enlightened ones, we have known you from the very beginning from the heart of the Divine Mother. How tender is the love of Seven Archangels and legions of Light for each one personally.
The teaching has gone forth that the fate of earth is in the hands of Lightbearers who are in embodiment in this hour, whether the tiny babe or one in the womb who does come from the recesses of nirvana to reembody. Blessed hearts, those who have life and breath of the Holy Spirit in the earth are called, then, to an unusual sacrifice that is the joy of the Lord within their members.
Blessed hearts, the times are so trying and oppressive and so stressful that we of the Archangels counsel the retreat into the bliss of the Divine Mother and the heart of the Buddha. There, by the science of the mantra let those who know and see keep the flame in the cities as though positioned in the caves of the Himalayas.
It is here and now that thy light, O Israel, may count for all. Thus, in this hour I am sent for the touching of the third eye. It is a quickening and it is, as it were, a magnetic impulse to draw up the light of the chakras. It is well, then, to attend and immerse yourself in this teaching during this weekend, for we the Archangels and those who come are preparing you for the presence of the Lord Jesus. As you have understood, it is for the greater light.
I desire to see you gather to give the violet flame decrees throughout the day on the morrow, that you might in that service realize an extraordinary transmutation from the heart of Archangel Zadkiel. Burdens upon you and upon this city weigh heavy, beloved. They weigh in the very earth body. Let them, then, be cast into the sacred fire of the Seventh Ray. Let violet flame angels who come succeeding my own bands therefore give a gift of light to this city that is the third-eye chakra of a nation.
O Great Liberty and Temple of the Sun, open the twelve gates of the temple, that these evolutions initiated by thy heart, O Mother of Exiles, might enter on their ray and calling, while their bodies sleep this night and come into consonance with an inner awareness without fear of those things which could come upon this area unless a people rise up in acclamation of their God.
Blessed hearts, we have mercy and compassion upon all who are bowed down, who are the ignorant and know not what they do. But this mercy and compassion is not able to stay the hand of the Law of God or the oncoming cycles of Light.
Understand, therefore, that suspended over this city is a vast inner etheric retreat.5 It is our goal to see those who are the spiritual descendants of the twelve tribes embody the path of self-mastery of the twelve gates. Let the seed of the Ancient of Days, then, be quickened. Let all who have the gift of the divine spark know that never has heaven been more ready to give an outpouring of light, and yet never have we felt so confined by the Great Law.
Therefore, it is free will and your own determination to intercede for a city and a nation that will make the difference. To determine to hold light, to have light, to be light, to know the light and to be the servant of the light even while becoming the master of that light, this is the calling of the hour.
Inasmuch as this is the city where the All-Seeing Eye of God is focused, I may tell you that the change which may seem impossible can come in the twinkling of the eye of God. Let the last trump of mortality sound.6 Let the death knell sound and let each and every one shed a single snakeskin of the former self. And take heart and hope and receive the Holy Comforter, the Holy Spirit, that all things can be different if you will it so.
Where free will is determined to hold the balance, there the angels rush in. Blessed hearts, know, of a truth, that as my angels, dressed in white garments of light of the Central Sun, surround you, all is being given to you that you can contain in this hour.
Thus, the change of alchemy of violet flame may find you at a new level of awareness on the morrow to receive a greater quickening. It is for the alignment with the Son of God that we come. It is for the alignment of the I AM THAT I AM.
Therefore, earthquake did come upon the new city. But, beloved, there was a mitigation of it for the very calls of Keepers of the Flame giving the action of the violet flame and many decrees to the heart of the God Star.
Thus, though one may feel the quaking and shaking of the earth, one must also remember the mercy of God. Let mercy's flame rise. Let elemental life be given hope. And let them be given support of the violet flame that they might enter in to prevent those worse things that could be or might have been. It is a day-by-day holding up of the mighty tent of the Lord of this nation by the violet flame that does pour forth from all retreats of the Great White Brotherhood.
Look, then, with your inner sight in this moment and see planet earth as a violet sphere intensifying in that violet flame. See, then, how the saturation of certain geographical locations where there is a vibrant purple intensifying by angelic bands does also signify areas of greatest trouble, of greatest burden and potential for cataclysm.
This city, beloved, is just as much in the line of cataclysm as has been Los Angeles. Let us see renewed, then, the calling forth of the rainbow of light from the heart of Los Angeles to the heart of New York.7 Let us see, then, twin pillars of violet flame sustained by Keepers of the Flame. Let us see such an increase in violet flame in these cities that we will call forth and receive a dispensation from Melchizedek himself, the Ascended Master who does teach the path of the Melchizedekian priesthood at the retreat of Lord Zadkiel and Holy Amethyst over the Caribbean.
O blessed beings of Light, hosts of the LORD, may we reinforce the violet flame and then be about our Father's business for the raising up of pillars of blue flame for the defense of nationhood, Christhood and Divine Love in every creature.
Day by day, then, the great equation of life hangs in the balance. Under this sign of Libra we come, for autumn equinox does release opportunity as well as another increment of world karma. See, then, how there is a triggering of natural forces, spiritual forces according to the seasons, according to the signs of the times.
The gathering of Lightbearers to this convocation, then, is ultimately for the transmutation and holding back of the karma that consists of the dregs of a year in the final quadrant. The final quadrant of each year is the physical, beloved. It is when all those momentums of the first nine months may actually precipitate into physical form.
We must tell you, beloved, that the nation itself is threatened in war in the Persian Gulf, that the people's hearts are threatened for the very oncoming karma. Thus, it is an interval in time and space, an interval out of heaven whereby the violet flame so invoked by you might transmute that which shall surely become physical and become a burden to all should it come to pass.
I, Gabriel, do not deliver a prophecy of doomsday but of great hope and of enlightenment, which is sorely wanting from the pulpits of the nation or from the political pundits! Blessed hearts, the enlightenment is that those of the light, those of hope and faith and charity may give themselves to make all the difference in the outplaying of world events. Thus, when you gather and the violet flame is given and events are stayed and life returns to peace and quiet, you may never know what has been averted.
Thus, beloved, the spiritual [people] will attune with the violet light, the violet flame and the Seventh Ray and find themselves liberated in the heart of God for every call that is made. Hear me, I say! Every call that is made accrues to your personal causal body of Light against the day of the descent of your own personal karma. Let a word to the wise, then, be sufficient, for the LORD's hosts are ready now.
Blessed ones, if these teachings are unknown to you, if you have never studied them before, then your attendance under our teachers in our workshops will give to you a widening sphere of awareness of all that can come forth from your own beloved I AM Presence.
I, Gabriel, would receive you to my heart. The means at my disposal is the touch of the third eye. If you would receive of my heart and my heart's love for you from the beginning, thus pass by and feel the gentle touch as the gentle current of light may anchor that portion of God given to me for thee.
Thus, from the ancient breastplate of the high priest of God, twelve rays go forth touching each one who is the spiritual descendant of the Ancient of Days.
O Christ, quicken hearts, fan fires that have begun to diminish. Let the coals from the altar of God renew those in whom the flame has gone out.
All who desire renewed intelligence of the Mind of God and love, come then to this altar.8

This dictation by Archangel Gabriel was delivered at the conclusion of the Thursday evening service, October 1, 1987, after midnight, during a 4-day seminar held at the Penta Hotel in New York City, where Elizabeth Clare Prophet was stumping for Saint Germain's Coming Revolution in Higher Consciousness.
