The Christmas RoseMessenger's Invocation for the Lighting of the Altar Candles:
O Light of the incarnate Word, we salute thee in the eternal Spirit of Christos. Evangelical angels proclaiming the Word of Messiah, hear our call this Christmas morn! Inundate the earth with thy Light. Clear now the way by the power of the Holy Spirit.
Let the Lord Christ Jesus descend in his Second Coming into the hearts of those who have raised up the sacred fire by the power of resurrection's flame. Even so, come quickly, Lord Jesus Christ.
Come, Holy Christ Self of me! Occupy this humble abode. So receive us, Lord, in the manger of our hearts. Upon the altar thereof, we ignite these flames.
O love flames of the sacred fire, secret rays of spheres, causal body blazing bright, intensify now the action. O come into the hearts of those sons and daughters of God, children of the Great Central Sun who in this hour may understand with Nicodemus1 that we must be born again out of Spirit, baptized by sacred fire, and therefore be received of Him as we receive Him now.
O Jesus Christ, come into my heart and live there forever. O beloved Son of God, be thou the Christmas Rose - the Rose of light and love and truth and peace and mercy and freedom.
Lord Sanat Kumara, thou Ancient of Days, draw now the geometry of the path of the ruby-ray rose and of the Buddha of the Ruby Ray and of Lord Gautama and Maitreya.
O fourfold City Foursquare whose base is the cosmic cross of white fire, be now the foundation of my heart's love of Christ. O path supernal of Love eternal, hear our call this day, that Love might consume every planetary force of anti-Love and the Lord Christ might reign forevermore because Love does triumph o'er all.
Blessed One of God, thou Manchild, living flame of Love, thou who hast descended in this very hour of Light's portent: O come, beloved heart, Manchild of the sacred fire, with the Blessed Virgin.
We behold thy face, thy presence, thy perfect design and divine image in the heart of hearts of all children of the Light. O let thy presence and the pressure of thy electronic light body now transform the mind and heart and soul and consciousness of all who live upon earth.
For this is the day and the hour of the appearing of the Daystar from on high2 to all people. The sign of the risen Christ, born again, is the great joy, the eternal joy of this our Christ Mass.
We salute thee, O Ascended Master Jesus Christ, all thy saints and angelic hosts.
In the name of the Father, in the name of the Mother, in the name of the Son, in the name of the Holy Spirit, Amen.

The Incarnation of the Eternal Word
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
The same was in the beginning with God.
All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
In him was Life; and the Life was the Light of men.
And the Light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.
There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.
The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe.
He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light.
That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.
He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.
He came unto his own, and his own received him not.
But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father), full of grace and truth.
Let us give the "Forever Thine" and the "Adoration to God."
This is the message of the Lord Jesus Christ, our Christmas Rose - that this Word came into the world. This Word is the I AM THAT I AM. This Word is the God Presence and the Holy Christ Self.
Today we celebrate the new birth of this Christ Jesus, one with the Holy Christ Self of our hearts. Let us truly imbibe and assimilate and experience this consummate Love, his reason for being. We fail not our Lord. We come together to worship by affirmation of his presence within us. We come always to the altar for the purging Light of the Holy Spirit, the sacred fire of Love's intensity by which we realize the great immensity of God, worlds without end.
Our reason for being is defined this day by the Lord and Saviour, the Child in the cradle and the Cosmic Being whom Jesus our Lord is become.
Oh, we would worship at the fount of this Reality, and by contact with our own Mighty I AM Presence we would send showers of Love to the whole world that Jesus might be resurrected from a dead Roman paganism into the universal Life and intimacy of Love which he truly bore this morning in Bethlehem.
This very morning he is intimate with the little people, with the elementals, with nature. And this is a sign to all people that Christ is come for the regeneration of all kingdoms - elemental, human, and angelic. And these three together as a trinity are the moving force to defeat every power of anti-Love and anti-Christ, which we declare in Jesus' name has no power by this our decree:
In the name of the beloved mighty victorious Presence of God, I AM in me, my very own beloved Holy Christ Self, Holy Christ Selves of all mankind, beloved Lanello, the entire Spirit of the Great White Brotherhood and the World Mother, elemental life - fire, air, water, and earth! I decree:
My mighty great God Presence
On shining wings of Light,
Come blaze thy radiant Light rays,
Be a beacon through the night.
High in thy constant watchtower
Of the Summit now you blaze;
Deep within the hearts of men
You're anchored there to raise
All to Love,

On radiant sunbeams bright,
Come with thy Faith, Hope, Charity,
The threefold flame relight.
Release now through the Summit
That Ascended Master touch

Beloved mighty victorious Presence of God, I AM in me, my very own beloved Holy Christ Self, by and through the magnetic power of the immortal victorious threefold flame of Love, Wisdom, and Power burning within my heart, I decree:
Beloved Mighty I AM Presence,
Thou Life that beats my heart,
Come now and take dominion,
Make me of thy Life a part.
Rule supreme and live forever
In the Flame ablaze within;
Let me from Thee never sever,
Our reunion now begin.
All the days proceed in order
From the current of thy Power,
Flowing forward like a river,

This understanding of the mission of the birth of Jesus Christ became a profound realization in the heart of beloved El Morya when he as Melchior, one of the three wise men, visited the place of Jesus' birth and beheld that Divine Manchild who had the Holy Spirit from his mother's womb. And so, this El Morya has held in his heart these two thousand years the understanding of the universal nature of that Child - that Child who could not be circumscribed by dogma or orthodoxy or any creed.
It was the Universal Light that he saw. It translated to El Morya, not as a flesh and blood God, but as the very imminence of the Word that was with God in the beginning, draped immaculately with garments of flesh. And so, in his heart, Melchior went forth determined to transmit the personhood of God, the nature of the universality of the Light to all people.
I have never heard a sermon preached concerning the three wise men as the very first ones to witness unto him and therefore to have the authority from his point of origin to proclaim his divine doctrine from the cradle and the very moment of his birth.
The apostles who circumscribed him and established their orthodoxy knew him only in the last three years of his ministry in Palestine and, though Peter proclaimed him Christ, the Son of the living God,3 they knew him more as the flesh and blood Saviour and less as the ever-appearing I AM THAT I AM. For by their testimony, their unbelief, their hardness of heart for which he rebuked them in the last hours before he took his leave of them,4 we perceive the absence of the full quickening of the Word that could translate to them the mystical union with the one we know as the Christmas Rose.
Thus, dear Morya went forth to translate his understanding in the mystery school of Camelot. He saw the power of the Divine Manchild to slay all of the "isms" that had come out of the Serpents' preaching of their false doctrine to those in the mystery school of Eden. He, as Arthur, King of the Britons, came forth to slay those twelve kings,5 representative of the Canaanite consciousness with which Joshua before him had been sent to do battle accompanied by the valiant of the twelve tribes. He saw that the application of the Spirit of the Divine Manchild must be in society, in government, in holy orders, and in the internalization of the Word on a path, a very personal path of individual Christhood, forged and won.
Thus, the highest holiday of the year, the day of Pentecost, celebrating the descent of that Holy Spirit upon the apostles after Jesus' ascension, became the cyclic going forth and return of the knights that they might render their reports to the king and queen on their initiations slaying dragons, championing the poor, defending maidens in distress and challenging the illusions of witches and foul queens and the forces of the underworld, their magic and entrancement, as they went bearing that Christ flame in quest of the Holy Grail.6
So he came as Becket and More and Akbar. So he came as this mystical figure - Abraham reappearing in many guises, all of which were to frame and portray how this Manchild whom he had beheld so transcended the boundaries of any and all religious tradition of which he might be a part in his succeeding embodiments. We cannot say that Thomas Becket (1118-1170) or Thomas More (1478-1535) were typical Christians. In each case it was the Christians of the time who murdered him, who told him, "You need not make such a sacrifice, only give in and concede to Henry's wishes."
So we find the quintessence of the Christmas star in the heart of El Morya, and this El Morya is truly the wise man of our Christ Mass. For it is he who has called us to the same birth, teaching us that we must be willing to bear in the same lowly estate that magnificent Light.
By contrast, what is there special about the manger and the animals and the hay and the cold night and the plains? The only thing that is special is the diamond heart of the Christ - no props or pyramids or palaces or royal robes and jewels bedecking the princes and powers of this world. Only one star shone that night and it was not the star of materialism, it was not the star of Communism: it was the star of the Spirit, the Lord's and yours and mine - of the I AM THAT I AM. The Mighty I AM Presence of the Universal Christ shone over Bethlehem, and out of the Great Causal Body of the I AM Presence, the Saviour Jesus Christ descended the shaft of the crystal cord and entered into that form prepared.
We see and we understand, then, that all of the baubles and trinkets and riches and power and success of the world is a competitive ploy to make us forget that the only star we can ever keep, the only diamond that can provide the chalice for the infinite Light, is the heart of Christ in us - our own Christmas Rose unfolding. All other events, all other moments of history pale into insignificance. For the birth of the Avatar is the turning of the ages.
We are here that his birth and his message be not lost. Only we can prove that he lived and that he lived for a mighty purpose as we are willing to be that babe, born not in a palace, but in a manger.
And so God and man conspired. And in the great vision of the Mighty I AM Presence and the tube of light we see the facsimile of the Lighthouse. It is a Lighthouse of Love.
And so, El Morya thought and thought upon the mission of the Divine Manchild in this century. And as the result of his deliberation upon the Will of God, he called his Messenger Mark Prophet, sent him to Washington, D.C., that alabaster city where the facsimile of the Lighthouse of our Mighty I AM Presence is to be seen in the Washington Monument - the 555-foot obelisk that is "a pillar of fire" and "a tower of power upon the rock."
And he said to Mark, "This is the conspiring of Ascended Masters and unascended disciples of the living Christ. Let us, then, take this our Tree of Life, this our Mighty I AM Presence. Let us come together. Let us make of all of the presence of God that we have individually externalized one tower, one Lighthouse of Love.
"Let all of the Light of the chelas of the Will of God become one blazing Light in that tower. Let it be the Summit Lighthouse whose beacon calls every man and woman and child to the summit of Being. Let it be built of the stones of the wise master builders of all ages who would build the pyramid of Life. Let each stone signify a chela wed to the Will of God by the Christmas Rose, who declared in his descent, `Lo, I AM come to do thy will, O God!"'
This mystery, then, of a Community of the Holy Spirit, an organization, if you will, that is called The Summit Lighthouse, is taken directly from the mysticism of the Path of Love borne in the heart of one Melchior, a wise man out of the East, as he came to Bethlehem with Caspar and Balthazar - now the Ascended Masters Djwal Kul and Kuthumi. They came, then, not only offering gifts - gifts as focuses of protection, initiation and of the threefold flame, signs of gold, frankincense and myrrh - signs of the Order of Melchizedek - but also sealing that Divine Manchild as they, the Three Kings of the Orient, represented the entire Spirit of the Great White Brotherhood. After taking their leave of the Holy Family, they secured for them safe passage into Egypt and escape from Herod's henchmen.
And so, the beloved wise men of old are still our guides today, and so they have lent themselves as pillars of fire to go before us as emissaries of that ancient Brotherhood whose calling is also ours in the name of the Ancient of Days. And we see that all who follow the Three Kings to the path of the Mighty I AM Presence come to the path of the building of this Lighthouse of Love.
We give praise unto the LORD for this dream of Love come true through the heart of Mother Mary, through the heart of Lanello, our own beloved Mark, who was the one chosen by the Darjeeling Council to head it. We can see that through the receptivity of his heart to Morya's call to found The Summit Lighthouse and the Order of the Child that he also mounted the spiral staircase of the Lighthouse to become one with its beacon.
This we may also do. This many disciples of El Morya who have passed through the halls of Summit University have also done. That we might become fully a part of the beacon Light - this is our Christmas prayer.
And so, Mark left for us a poem, giving to us his understanding of this Lighthouse of Love so that we might not forget the fundamentals of humility upon which it is built nor the formula by which it is maintained.

Let us be the Christmas Rose. We will give decree 30.04. Please visualize the pink rose unfolding in your heart, and as you give this decree the pink rose becomes the mighty blue rose and then it becomes the yellow rose and the violet rose and the white rose.
You can see the power of the Great Causal Body of the Lord Jesus Christ unfolding in your heart, and therefore the heart is the all-purpose beacon of Light. It sheds its radiance, and whatever is the need of the hour becomes the qualification of your heart. This is God-Mastery on the Path of the Sacred Heart, the ruby ray of Jesus Christ. Together:
Beloved mighty victorious Presence of God, I AM in me, my very own beloved Holy Christ Self, Holy Christ Selves of all mankind, beloved Lord the Maha Chohan, beloved Mother Mary, beloved Paul the Venetian, beloved Archangel Chamuel and Charity, beloved Heros and Amora, Elohim of Love, beloved Lady Masters Nada and Venus, beloved Goddess of Liberty, beloved Jesus the Christ, beloved Lanello, the entire Spirit of the Great White Brotherhood and the World Mother, elemental life - fire, air, water, and earth!
By and through the magnetic power of the immortal, victorious threefold flame of Liberty and the adoration flame ablaze within my heart, I decree:
1- I AM so willing to be filled
With the Love of God;
I AM calling to be thrilled
With the Love of God;
I AM longing so for Grace
From the heart of God;
Yearning just to see his face
By the Love of God.

Jesus placed upon my heart this morning a very special sermon. He desires me to read to you from the Book of the Acts of the Apostles and the Gospels, that he might expound on the Teaching contained herein. It is a very powerful presence of the Lord Jesus Christ who comes to transfer not mere knowledge but the power of the Holy Spirit this Christmas Day.
And so I shall read to you from the tenth and eleventh chapters. It concerns Peter. Peter, as you know, was given the keys of the kingdom of heaven,7 which means the power of the Christ to open the causal body of the individual that the descent of the Holy Ghost might take place therefrom and out of the living presence of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Peter exercised this gift of the keys of the kingdom first on Pentecost, when the Holy Ghost came upon the apostles and the Gospel and baptism was given unto the Jews.8 And every man heard the message of Christ spoken in his own tongue. Thus, we understand that this ancient people of the Light of Sanat Kumara must receive the opportunity to walk in the path of the Eternal Christ.
Now we come to Peter's second use of the keys of the kingdom. And this is the story of that event - most precious, most personal, most human, and most divine:
The Gospel Given to the `Gentiles'
There was a certain man in Caesarea called Cornelius, a centurion of the band called the Italian band,
A devout man, and one that feared God with all his house, which gave much alms to the people, and prayed to God alway.
He saw in a vision evidently about the ninth hour of the day an angel of God coming in to him, and saying unto him, Cornelius.
And when he looked on him, he was afraid, and said, What is it, Lord? And he said unto him, Thy prayers and thine alms are come up for a memorial before God.
And now send men to Joppa, and call for one Simon, whose surname is Peter:
He lodgeth with one Simon a tanner, whose house is by the sea side: he shall tell thee what thou oughtest to do.
And when the angel which spake unto Cornelius was departed, he called two of his household servants, and a devout soldier of them that waited on him continually;
And when he had declared all these things unto them, he sent them to Joppa.
On the morrow, as they went on their journey, and drew nigh unto the city, Peter went up upon the housetop to pray about the sixth hour:
And he became very hungry, and would have eaten: but while they made ready, he fell into a trance,
And saw heaven opened, and a certain vessel descending unto him, as it had been a great sheet knit at the four corners, and let down to the earth:
Wherein were all manner of fourfooted beasts of the earth, and wild beasts, and creeping things, and fowls of the air.
And there came a voice to him, Rise, Peter; kill, and eat.
But Peter said, Not so, Lord; for I have never eaten any thing that is common or unclean.
And the voice spake unto him again the second time, What God hath cleansed, that call not thou common.
This was done thrice: and the vessel was received up again into heaven.
Now while Peter doubted in himself what this vision which he had seen should mean, behold, the men which were sent from Cornelius had made enquiry for Simon's house, and stood before the gate,
And called, and asked whether Simon, which was surnamed Peter, were lodged there.
While Peter thought on the vision, the Spirit said unto him, Behold, three men seek thee.
Arise therefore, and get thee down, and go with them, doubting nothing: for I have sent them.
Then Peter went down to the men which were sent unto him from Cornelius; and said, Behold, I am he whom ye seek: what is the cause wherefore ye are come?
And they said, Cornelius the centurion, a just man, and one that feareth God, and of good report among all the nation of the Jews, was warned from God by an holy angel to send for thee into his house, and to hear words of thee.
Then called he them in, and lodged them. And on the morrow Peter went away with them, and certain brethren from Joppa accompanied him.
And the morrow after they entered into Caesarea. And Cornelius waited for them, and had called together his kinsmen and near friends.
And as Peter was coming in, Cornelius met him, and fell down at his feet, and worshipped him.
But Peter took him up, saying, Stand up; I myself also am a man.
And as he talked with him, he went in, and found many that were come together.
And he said unto them, Ye know how that it is an unlawful thing for a man that is a Jew to keep company, or come unto one of another nation; but God hath shewed me that I should not call any man common or unclean.
Therefore came I unto you without gainsaying, as soon as I was sent for: I ask therefore for what intent ye have sent for me?
And Cornelius said, Four days ago I was fasting until this hour; and at the ninth hour I prayed in my house, and, behold, a man stood before me in bright clothing,
And said, Cornelius, thy prayer is heard, and thine alms are had in remembrance in the sight of God.
Send therefore to Joppa, and call hither Simon, whose surname is Peter; he is lodged in the house of one Simon a tanner by the sea side: who, when he cometh, shall speak unto thee.
Immediately therefore I sent to thee; and thou hast well done that thou art come. Now therefore are we all here present before God, to hear all things that are commanded thee of God.
Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons:
But in every nation he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with him.
The word which God sent unto the children of Israel, preaching peace by Jesus Christ: (he is Lord of all:)
That word, I say, ye know, which was published throughout all Judaea, and began from Galilee, after the baptism which John preached;
How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who w ent about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.
And we are witnesses of all things which he did both in the land of the Jews, and in Jerusalem; whom they slew and hanged on a tree:
Him God raised up the third day, and shewed him openly;
Not to all the people, but unto witnesses chosen before of God, even to us, who did eat and drink with him after he rose from the dead.
And he commanded us to preach unto the people, and to testify that it is he which was ordained of God to be the Judge of quick and dead.
To him give all the prophets witness, that through his name whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins.
While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word.
And they of the circumcision which believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the gift of the Holy Ghost.
For they heard them speak with tongues, and magnify God. Then answered Peter,
Can any man forbid water, that these should not be baptized, which have received the Holy Ghost as well as we?
And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord. Then prayed they him to tarry certain days.
And the apostles and brethren that were in Judaea heard that the Gentiles had also received the word of God.
And when Peter was come up to Jerusalem, they that were of the circumcision contended with him,
Saying, Thou wentest in to men uncircumcised, and didst eat with them.
But Peter rehearsed the matter from the beginning, and expounded it by order unto them, saying,
I was in the city of Joppa praying: and in a trance I saw a vision, A certain vessel descend, as it had been a great sheet, let down from heaven by four corners; and it came even to me:
Upon the which when I had fastened mine eyes, I considered, and saw fourfooted beasts of the earth, and wild beasts, and creeping things, and fowls of the air.
And I heard a voice saying unto me, Arise, Peter; slay and eat.
But I said, Not so, Lord: for nothing common or unclean hath at any time entered into my mouth.
But the voice answered me again from heaven, What God hath cleansed, that call not thou common.
And this was done three times: and all were drawn up again into heaven.
And, behold, immediately there were three men already come unto the house where I was, sent from Caesarea unto me.
And the Spirit bade me go with them, nothing doubting. Moreover these six brethren accompanied me, and we entered into the man's house:
And he shewed us how he had seen an angel in his house, which stood and said unto him, Send men to Joppa, and call for Simon, whose surname is Peter;
Who shall tell thee words, whereby thou and all thy house shall be saved.
And as I began to speak, the Holy Ghost fell on them, as on us at the beginning.
Then remembered I the word of the Lord, how that he said, John indeed baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost.
Forasmuch then as God gave them the like gift as he did unto us, who believed on the Lord Jesus Christ; what was I, that I could withstand God?
When they heard these things, they held their peace, and glorified God, saying, Then hath God also to the Gentiles granted repentance unto life. Acts 10, 11
God Sent His Son to Save the World
And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:
That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
And this is the condemnation, that Light is come into the world, and men loved Darkness rather than Light, because their deeds were evil.
For every one that doeth evil hateth the Light, neither cometh to the Light, lest his deeds should be reproved.
But he that doeth Truth cometh to the Light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.
Empowered to Become Sons of God
But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the Sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
Let us meditate for the dictation of Jesus Christ as we listen to the Vienna Choir Boys singing "Greensleeves."
