A Study in Christhood by the Great Initiator
XXXVI
Break Ye the Bread of Life

Destiny thunders, beloved hearts. To each mind comes forth the recognition of purpose, veiled as a thrust of deification manifesting in form but holding before the gaze of all the realm of God-ideation - divine action manifesting for all, to all; Light shining in darkness that darkness may comprehend and be born anew, fresh from the Mind of God as an onward-moving being crowned with the crown of immortality.

For life that at times holds so much frustration for the evolving monad is in reality a great testing ground where is born anew universal virtue, encapsulated momentarily in form, only to rise as the form is broken; and the spirit itself, in its magnificent thrust for reality, is able to once again capture from the Mind of God-in-action that which once was the whole life of each individual - when that individual in the unmanifest state was dwelling and awaiting its moment in what you have termed the "limelight" of human action, human selfhood, human thought, and human feeling.

I, Maitreya, come to you this day, speaking unto you and unto all mankind of the blessed awareness that can be recaptured by the heart and mind that yearns to find renewal, to reach upward, bringing once again into view the domain of reality and possibility, knowing full well (as ye all ought to know) that endless possibility is to be found in the kingdom of God.

The kingdom of heaven is a kingdom of abundance, a kingdom of understanding, and a kingdom of overcoming! If you had already succeeded in overcoming, you would not be here in the land of mortal living, but rather in the realm of awareness of the immortals who already know that they are immortal and participate in the rituals of the Spirit rather than in the rituals of the dust in form.

Mankind, then, ought never to allow themselves to be bored, to enter into a state of frustration or doubt or fear, but rather to allow the wings of the heart and the mind to soar upward in thought and feeling to where divine purpose is fulfilled purpose. It is not enough to be hearers of the Word alone, but doers also - men and women of action who understand the meaning of right action and the avoidance of those vulgarities of mind and heart which pull downward rather than upward.

Through the skeins of the fabric of the sun, through airiness, lightness, joy, music, and that positivity of mind that believes in the thrust for a purpose, man will pass through every test and trial victoriously and forgo even a taste of those pleasures which mankind deem so magnificent -

When in reality they are only the fulfillment, in many cases, of immaturity and child-mindedness without the freedom which the true child mind bears as it also receives with such happiness the currents of the Mind of God that, like electrical energy flowing forth from the fountain of the mind and heart, speak of renewal and that which God has bequeathed unto man of himself and of the hushed breath of hope that, like a sweet and pure white flower, is in its daintiness reminiscent of the love of God for the temporal man -

That he be raised into the image of the Eternal; that he be raised into the image free from struggle and strife; that he receive the crown of immortal life and understand that all that he has esteemed so dear of this world is often but a frustration and a weight that brings a soul to a state of heaviness and despair -

Whereas the joyous fountain of abundant life gushing forth within the mind and heart could become a cleansing agent to purify each monadic expression for its own blessed reunion with the crystal flowing fountain of cosmic immortality and rushing joy that is a divine effervescence.

O hearts of light, in these moments of testing when here through the veil of flesh mankind are often bereft, by reason of their own stupidity, of the very comforts they need and require, I say to you: Look up and live! - which means: Behold God and the fount of Truth. Break the bread of cosmic reason and be once again filled with the light of ten thousand suns!

For the victory of the Light will not occur by reason of man's mere wish or whimsy! The fountain of Life will be born once again in mankind by reason of the invincibility of his faith, by reason of the willing commitment of himself unto the cosmic trail that is not necessarily covered with the dust of glory, but often with the weariness of men as they have struggled in themselves momentarily to seek for the will of God and the passions of cosmic righteousness.

And while you travel that beautiful trail sometimes fraught with mortal suffering, heed ye well the thread of opportunity. And understand that it is a fragile thing - to be broken with ease in a moment or to be rendered like unto a cable of solid steel. For the steely white power of the cosmic light can gird your mind and heart unto God, and no man can take thy crown.1

Free yourself, then, from the sense of worldly obligations that are not the will of God, but bear in mind - and bear it well in mind - that certain responsibilities are given to man that he may learn of the divine plan. And be not hasty to judge, but rather willing to follow the pathway that leads to divine understanding and the fruit of the Spirit that leads to right action. For only by right action and right thought and right feeling can man come at last to the feet of God-virtue and God-loveliness where the soul, molded by the character of the universal God, bearing the loftiness of his imprint, will hold itself by the power of infinite example visible to those who have eyes to see and patiently wait for the world's maturity and recognition of infinite love.

For by the thrust of God's love shall mankind be raised

And by the thrust of God's love shall mankind be praised,

For only in God's love can mankind be raised.

Let not, then, the discouraging aspects of self-love, of selfishness, and of human miasma cloud your mind from beholding the glory of God in your own face. For as you raise yourself through the Christ consciousness into the domain of the divine image, those sacrifices which now seem to be sacrifices will melt in an instant by the fervent heat of your love and will seem only as infinite joys.

The bread of Life requires breaking and dissemination, and many children of the Sun require assimilation of the body of God, the bread of his substance, the cup of his spiritual conquests. Will ye drink of it? Then know that drink of it ye must, for none shall escape. And because none escape, none shall escape the glow-ray of God.

Therefore, the divine charisma will bless you all. The afflatus of your heart will be given to all in due course of time as all fulfill the steps of the Christ consciousness, becoming followers of that which - while for some may seem afar off and for others as that which is nigh - is still the brilliant diamond of universal grace, illumining all within their heart and making for them a place where none can ever part. For all become infinitely children of initiation finding their place within the heart of God. I, Maitreya, unfurl before your gaze the banner of my love. It is written: I AM the Amen, the first and the last - He that liveth and was dead.2 In you I have become as dead. In you shall I be raised. Break ye the bread of Life.

     Perusha.
