A Study in Christhood by the Great Initiator
XIX
Christ Is King of All That Is Real

John records for us the events of this day:1

Then Jesus six days before the Passover came to Bethany where Lazarus was which had been dead, whom he raised from the dead. There they made him a supper and Martha served, but Lazarus was one of them that sat at the table with him.

Then took Mary a pound of ointment of spikenard, very costly, and anointed the feet of Jesus and wiped his feet with her hair, and the house was filled with the odour of the ointment.

Then saith one of his disciples, Judas Iscariot, Simon's son which should betray him, Why was not this ointment sold for three hundred pence and given to the poor? This he said, not that he cared for the poor but because he was a thief and had the bag and bare what was put therein.

Then said Jesus, Let her alone: against the day of my burying hath she kept this. For the poor always ye have with you, but me ye have not always.

Much people of the Jews therefore knew that he was there and they came not for Jesus' sake only, but that they might see Lazarus also, whom he had raised from the dead.

But the chief priests consulted that they might put Lazarus also to death, because that by reason of him many of the Jews went away and believed on Jesus.

In this very intimate gathering in Bethany, we see the anointing of the Lord's body with the spikenard six days before the Passover and the night before his triumphal entry into Jerusalem. Iscariot had the consciousness of a socialist: "all men are created equal, ergo all must be treated equally." And therefore the Son of God, or the one who is the incarnation of that Son of God, must not be particularly honored or revered or sacrificed for.

Jesus explains a mystery of karma: The poor ye have with you always signifies that there will always be some at the bottom of the ladder of life's initiations. There will always be some to forgive much because they have sinned much - in other words, those having the heaviest karma, hence the least Light or Spirit or Christ consciousness. There will always be some who embody the consciousness of the poor, that they might be filled, that they might receive the Light from those who have an abundance of it. Blessed are the poor in Spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.2

And therefore, he gives us the understanding of the honoring of the Christed One and the honoring of the Christ in you rather than the human needs of the outer self. For when the Christ is honored and cared for, then the needs of the poor (the self-impoverished outer manifestation) will also be met by that Christ.

Thus, in this very hour of Jesus' triumph, beyond those doors of the circle of immediate disciples gathered at the house in Bethany, they plot to kill Lazarus, but they cannot.

On the next day much people that were come to the feast, when they heard that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem, took branches of palm trees and went forth to meet him and cried, Hosanna! Blessed is the king of Israel that cometh in the name of the LORD!

     Hosanna!

Blessed is the king of Israel that cometh in the name of the LORD!

Who is the king of Israel? The one who holds the key to the incarnation of God as Reality where you are. He comes in the name of the Mighty I AM Presence. He comes in the fullness of Sanat Kumara. Blessed is he that comes, this king of Israel - the one who holds the key to Christhood in all of the seed of Sanat Kumara. Therefore he is king, for only Christ is king.

Today we celebrate the victory of that LORD Our Righteous-ness - your beloved Christ Self, and mine, who holds the key to your incarnation, and mine, of the I AM Presence. And there is a key, and there is a mystery.

The key is given to us in the first and Great Commandment and in the second, which is a corollary to it. But the following of those commandments as Jesus taught requires the turning of the key of the heart in oneness with this Christ. Jesus gave the commandments, the Holy Spirit may preach to us, but nothing changes until we find the key for ourselves, take it, use it, turn it and embody those commandments as we embody Christ.

Do you understand the step from the teaching of the parable, to the mystery of the parable, to your incarnation of the Word? You do not know it when the parable is first given. You do not know it when the mystery is revealed. You only know it when you decide to assimilate it, when you yearn so much that you find the king of Israel. You find the king who is your Christ Self, and you find him by the way of Jesus - by his example, which is "the only Way."

Do you see that it's all in the doing and in the becoming? The doing and the becoming is the sign that you know, the sign that I know and that I AM the known in manifestation. This is when you are recognized as a disciple who can become an apostle of God.

They recognized him as king. Now they must enter the path of finding the king within. He would not stay with them long enough to receive the temporal crown, for that was not the point.

"All that I AM, you must become." This is his Palm Sunday message. Now he enters the greatest drama of the ages and demonstrates the way of every soul's victory. When he engages all of his strength to outpicture the events of the Passion Week, he will no longer teach by words but by example. You must observe what he does, and, by direct oneness with him (due to a prior love), you must become what he is. You must find the key, for he is the mystery of the incarnate Word.

     Let us say together:

     Hosanna!

Blessed is the king of Israel that cometh in the name of the LORD!

     Hosanna!

Blessed is the king of Israel that cometh in the name of the LORD!

     Hosanna!

Blessed is the king of Israel that cometh in the name of the LORD!

     Hosanna!

Blessed is the king of Israel that cometh in the name of the LORD!

Now say it to your own Christ Self, beloved ones. Say it directly to the Son of God within you:

     Hosanna!

Blessed is the king of Israel that cometh in the name of the LORD - my Mighty I AM Presence!

     Hosanna!

Blessed is the king of Israel that cometh in the name of the LORD - my Mighty I AM Presence!

     Hosanna!

Blessed is the king of Israel that cometh in the name of the LORD - my Mighty I AM Presence!

     Hosanna!

Blessed is the king of Israel that cometh in the name of the LORD - my Mighty I AM Presence!

This is a wonderful teaching because the king of Israel is the one who is king of all that is real about you. He is not king of unreality. He does not reign in the carnal mind or in the karmic condition or in the untransmuted substance. Christ in you is king of all that is real in you. And all that is real in you must enthrone him.

Hold this palm in your hand3 as a means of transmitting to your Christ Self this praise and reception. It is an alchemy in your hand and you feel the love from your heart flow through your hand into this palm because it represents the joy and praise of your soul unto him. And upon that love Christ will enter your heart.

And Jesus, when he had found a young ass, sat thereon; as it is written, Fear not, daughter of Sion: behold, thy king cometh, sitting on an ass's colt.

Fear not, soul, for the king, the beloved Christ Self, cometh sitting on a colt, coming gently with humility. Fear not Christ entering into the citadel of your being. He comes gently. He is the victor. He will bind the enemy that lurks at the door to slay the Son of man.

These things understood not his disciples at the first, but when Jesus was glorified, then remembered they that these things were written of him and that they had done these things unto him.

The people therefore that was with him when he called Lazarus out of his grave, and raised him from the dead, bare record. For this cause the people also met him, for they heard that he had done this miracle.

The Pharisees therefore said among themselves, Perceive ye how ye prevail nothing? Behold, the world is gone after him.

So it was, and so it is. The world is gone after this Christ. Jesus spoke and said:

The hour is come that the Son of man should be glorified.

This is true in you. Will you recognize that the hour is come that the Son of man, the Christ in you, is to be glorified? Will you realize that if you do not accept this hour as the opportune moment for the Christ in you to be glorified, it may never come to pass? It requires the acceptance. Behold, this is the acceptable day of the LORD's salvation!4 - this is the day of your soul-elevation by this Christ.

This hour, this conference, this Easter, the Son of man in you is glorified if you will it, if you allow it, if you accept it.

Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone; but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit.

He that loveth his life shall lose it, and he that hateth his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal.

The old self must die. We must give birth to the new self. If we do not let it die and fall into the ground, it cannot bear fruit. The essence of the self-re-creative process is the continual re-creation - letting the old man die and the new man be born. It is the ritual of Easter every year. As the apostle Paul said, I die daily.5

You can become a new self by the power of the light of the Lamb, by the power of spring, by the power of the sun.

If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I AM - where I am on the path of initiation, where I am in the heart of God, where I am in the heart of my Mighty I AM Presence - there shall also my servant be.

If any man would be the disciple of this living Master, this Jesus Christ and the one who sent him6 - Sanat Kumara, let him follow me, because where I AM in the Light of God, there he will also be a part of that Light.

This is the great blessing of committing yourself to an ascended master, of loving God with heart and soul and mind and strength, because then, where that Master is, where that God-manifestation is, you will be also. Even before you have the attainment of that mastery, you will enjoy the bliss of that Master's attainment, his causal body. This is why the Master/disciple (Guru/chela) relationship is an institution of cosmos and of the Great White Brotherhood.

Not all people want to be where Jesus is this week. They do not enter wholeheartedly into that oneness. Think about it. If you really want to be where El Morya is or Saint Germain is or your Christ Self is, then run to the Master! Accept the burden of Light (i.e., the Christ consciousness) and the burden of world karma he has assumed, else you will be deprived of both.

And therefore, you must hate your life. Because if you only want the Master's blessing and you don't want to bear his burden, you will have neither. But if you take his burden, his Light will cancel out that burden;7 and you will have his victory of love.

And where I am, there shall also my servant be. If any man serve me, him will my Father honour.

God, the Mighty I AM Presence, honors the soul who serves the Christ Self. The only way you can receive the honor of God is if you are hid with Christ.8 If you are a part of that Christ Self and one with your Christ Self, you are honored of God, you are sealed.

If you do not serve your Christ Self, God's honor cannot reach you because his perfection descends only to the level of the Christ. So you must rise to that level and hate the life that exists at the lesser vibration of the lower figure in the Chart.9 You must ascend to the hill of Christ. You must draw down the Christ where you are through the violet flame. Be the Christ in action! And that is how you transform the world. Jesus said:

     "Now is my soul troubled."

He was very honest and very real. His soul was burdened. This soul, who in order to minister to life lived at the level of world and personal karma, was heavy for what he felt was coming upon him, and he said,

"What shall I say? `Father, save me from this hour'? - Is this what you want me to say? Do I hear my disciples saying, `Lord, be saved from the hour of trial'?"

And so he says, "But for this cause came I unto this hour - Now I am here. Will I ask that it shall not come to pass?

     "Father, glorify thy name."

Here is the perspective of Jesus: "I seek no self-justification. Father, glorify thy name. This is why I have come to this hour."

Then came there a voice from heaven ...

Immediately when Jesus speaks to the Father, Glorify thy name, the voice responds - you know it is because of the Son's ongoing walk with God - saying:

I have both glorified it, and will glorify it again.

The people, therefore, that stood by and heard it said that it thundered. Others said, An angel spake to him.

Jesus answered and said, This voice came not because of me, but for your sakes. Now is the judgment of this world. Now shall the prince of this world be cast out.

Jesus had to come to the moment of his surrender in order to accomplish the casting out - temple by temple, person by person - of the carnal mind, otherwise known as the dweller on the threshold. At this point of the nexus, standing between your soul and your heart, he says, "Now is the judgment of this world of karma, this astral body, this unreality. Now shall the prince of this world, the dweller on the threshold, be cast out of your temple!"

Now is the moment. Now is the window in heaven in this Palm Sunday celebration, in this sign of the sun in Aries, 1984. Now it is that you have the option of glorifying God, his name I AM THAT I AM in your temple. From this hour there is no room for that carnal mind. It may not co-occupy the habitation of God.

This is the science of being that Jesus taught us. In the very midst of teaching it, he lets us know that his soul is troubled. It is no easy initiation even for the Son of God. It will be no less easy for you and no less glorious, no less victorious.

Only a good challenge and a high hurdle is worthy of the true Son of God. Our God is not an indulgent God. To give us the all of himself, he requires the all of us, peaked and poised at maximum performance. And so, Jesus says,

And I, if the I AM in me be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me.

The raising up of the full fire of Christhood in Jesus in the final hours of his public ministry is the fire of the Sun behind the sun coming to the point of igniting almost an entire soul and four lower bodies. It is a magnet like the Great Central Sun Magnet, drawing all men to the same I AM Presence, the LORD in whose name he has come, the LORD who has said, I have glorified it and I will glorify it again, by dwelling in you bodily.

This is the hour of the celebration of the union of the I AM Presence and the Christ dwelling in the soul. And the three, the Trinity you see in the Chart, is one manifestation of God in Jesus. And for this he was crucified, because the world will not tolerate God incarnate in its midst.

But he did it because he had to show us that the name of God and the I AM Presence - one and the same - is glorified. He had to do it to show us that it could be done, that it shall be done, that it will be done. It is the crown of your path of initiation. It is the goal. It is why you are seated here. It is where you are going. It is why you serve. It is why you sacrifice - this, the glorification of the Word I AM THAT I AM within you.

When you have prepared the vessel, the Holy Grail, the Mighty I AM Presence says, "I have glorified my name within you, and I will glorify my name, i.e., my I AM Presence, in you, again - and again and again. And I will do so before the whole world. And if you will raise up this `I AM' within you, all men shall find that pathway Home."

Our Master lived for this purpose, and you are living for the same. The secret is not to forget it each and every hour of the day and the night so that you do not waste the hours in common or mediocre expressions, but rather fill them with the excellence of the Light.

The people answered him, We have heard out of the law that Christ abideth for ever, and how sayest thou, The Son of man must be lifted up? Who is this Son of man?

Now hear the answer and discover the mystery:

Jesus said, Yet a little while is the Light with you. Walk while ye have the Light, lest darkness come upon you: for he that walketh in darkness knoweth not whither he goeth.

While ye have Light, believe in the Light, that ye may be the children of Light. These things spake Jesus and departed and did hide himself from them.

He came in the midst of the throng. He spoke to them, he preached, he taught. He did many things which are recorded in the other Gospels, which we have preached on previous Palm Sundays.10 And then he went apart to intensify the Light in his temple for the oncoming initiation. Yet, what is this message? What is this Light with you?

First and foremost, it is the living Word, the Christ of Jesus: Work while you have this Light of me with you to reinforce your Light. This is the first mystery. The second is: Work while you have the threefold flame burning on the altar of your own being. Work while you have the I AM Presence and the Christ Self with you. For the night cometh when the threefold flame is covered over by karma, personal and planetary - the dark night of the soul, when you can no longer even find the Light that God has placed in your heart because you are beset by the path of your own karma.11 Lest darkness - the darkness of your karma - come upon you: for he that walketh in the darkness of his karma knoweth not whither he goeth. While you have the Light, and before the most difficult initiations come to you when you must prove that Light in utter darkness, walk with the Light that you might be children of the Light.

While we have the dispensation of the Great White Brotherhood, while we have our youth - as it is written in the Book of Ecclesiastes, who speaks about the breaking of the golden bowl and the withdrawal of the crystal cord and the threefold flame, the prophet revealing that mystery12 - while you have the life-force in your members, while the dispensation for this embodiment fails not, now walk in the Light as children of Light.

Maximize the Light, intensify it, multiply it, let it spread, let it be raised up. Let it be for the transmutation of karma so that when the night cometh it is not such a dark, dark night of the soul or of the Spirit. Walk while you have the Light, because suddenly and swiftly you may be taken from the scene of the physical octave.

So it is Jesus' supreme sense of timing - the timing of life, the drama of life, the cycles of initiation. Watch and pray that ye enter not into temptation,13 beloved, to depart from this Light.

Keep now this Palm Sunday message. It is the message of the victory of your soul in Christ. When your soul is one with your Christ Self, then you are called the Son of man. That is the definition of the term "Son of man." You become a part of the Sun, or the Light, of all manifestation in the physical octave when your Christ Self is absolutely one with your soul because the soul has prepared herself to be the chalice.

Let that be our goal and let us have a glorious Easter conference, because this is the reason we gather for five days. The marriage of the Lamb is upon us.

Messenger's Invocation

Beloved Mighty I AM Presence from the heart of God, LORD God Almighty, thou who art the one God of all Reality and the one God of the seed of Sanat Kumara, we call thee forth in this hour in the very presence of the saints of the Most High. I AM THAT I AM, Elohim, come forth now in the purity of thy fiery descent! Come forth into the very midst of our temple now! I call thee forth, I AM THAT I AM.

Blaze forth now in the victory of the God flame!

Blaze forth now the victory of the Light!

Clear the pathway of our God as the descent of sacred fire from the Mighty I AM Presence through the crystal cord, through the beloved Holy Christ Self to our own heart flame!

Blaze, therefore, as the mighty threefold flame on the altar of these hearts! Clear away all debris blocking the divine contact of the living soul with Christ and with the Almighty One! We therefore clear a pathway of light by our heart's love and devotion unto thee, O God!

By the power of love, by the intense love of our hearts, by gratitude and liberty this day, we call thee forth, O God!

Come into my temple and live!

Come into my temple and live!

Come into my temple and live!

Come into my temple and live!

Come into my temple and live!

Come into my temple and live!

Come into my temple and live!

Come into my temple and live!

Come into my temple and live!

Come into my temple and live!

(given in fiery unison by the congregation)

In the name of the Father, the Son, the Holy Spirit, and the Mother, I am calling forth the light of God that never fails! I call for the oneness of the Trinity within us. I call for the preparation of each disciple and soul for the path victorious of Christhood. And I call for the Presence to draw near in this hour to all of the holy people upon earth for that God-direction whereby they might raise up the Light within them and draw all men unto the one God - the Mighty I AM Presence.

In the name of Jesus Christ and our beloved Christ Self, The LORD Our Righteousness, the Son of God, we invoke the Mighty I AM Presence into our midst.
