Out of the heart of Shamballa, I gladly come in answer to the call. For it is the very special call of hierarchy embodied upon earth.
Understand the meaning of our call to the embodied chela. And understand the responsive chord. As you answer our call, so we answer yours. And thereby, there is woven a filigree of light twixt heaven and earth as the shuttle of consciousness, as above so below, unites the warp and woof of our love - and there is manifest the veil of the Mother of the World.
Why does she wear the veil? It is because of the veiling of the mysteries of Life and the need thereof. There is a need for the veiling of the mysteries. There is a need for the veiling of her face, that the profane who have profaned her name may not look upon her in their profanity.
There is a need for the veiling of the face of the Blessed Mother so that the intense fire of her being might not frighten those who are the innocent ones coming to her heart, making way for the touching of the garment of her wisdom.
Perceive, then, the coming of the Mother always as the sign of Lord Maitreya. For we have a saying: If the Mother be in our midst, can Maitreya be far behind? Far nearer than the far-off worlds is the emanating light of Maitreya.
Thus, indeed have you renamed the mountain "Maitreya Mountain."1 For it is the sign of the rising spiral of his coming, as earth herself rises in the form of the mountain to praise his blessed feet, that he might have the place wherewith to alight - and there to meditate over the heart of our Inner Retreat for the coming of the pilgrims who would become, by discipleship, the messengers of Maitreya.
You have heard this week of the messengers of Maitreya, of untold numbers of chelas who will come to forge his holy will - to listen and then to listen still with the inner ear, who will then go forth around the whole world. Three hundred and sixty paths of light they will travel for the manifestation of the teaching.2
My blessed ones, realize that this is indeed a consecration of hearts. The gathering of your souls represents the crosscurrents of many, many lives and many, many evolutions.
Why, then, have I selected the reading of the journeying of a soul of light, a son of my heart, to Asia, to India, to Tibet, and to the blessed Kashmir and the Kulu Valley? I have selected this so that I might magnetize from deep within your subconscious, in the very etheric plane, your own memory of the Kulu Valley.3
These are not stories, blessed hearts, of an unknown time and tradition. These are the stories of your own soul's trek there - there, where Padma Sambhava taught you and even then, in that incarnation (750 A.D.) following the coming of Jesus Christ, did anoint this messenger to be the one who would represent him in this hour of the Inner Retreat.
And so, you remember the dictation of Padma Sambhava.Some wondered why a relatively unspoken-of Buddha within these circles would come forth out of the very depths of nirvana to anoint our messenger and then to give her the name "the Guru Mother" - even "the Guru Ma" - as the one who would teach the meaning of the intoning of the Ma syllable, worlds without end.4
Well, precious ones, it was because of this incarnation of your messenger as well as other devotees in that very valley, in that very hour, in that climate - the fertile valley that in itself did hark back to the paradise of Lemuria. It was a forcefield consecrated by the Buddhas and bodhisattvas - a place round which was drawn a circle of fire, that the Nephilim with their experimentations in space, with their defilement of that space, might not defile the place of the birth of avatars.
Now we have selected this retreat, this cradle of the heart, to lift the entire record of that episode and others that occurred in the Far East. We lift, as a stork would lift, bringing together the four corners of the garment, providing the cradle in which that Cosmic Christ consciousness already attained by you, with all of the akashic records, might be safely transported by the great mother bird to this habitat, to this place prepared in the West.
There is a moving at inner levels of many forcefields. And there is a gathering of souls whose strands of light and devotion, whose very lifestreams, have so blended with the Divine Mother that they are part and parcel of the great flow of her River of Life.5
Can you imagine how many incarnations of your own soul's devotion to the Divine Mother could result in your oneness with her stream? You have never journeyed to the Ganges in this life, yet you are a part of that moving River of Life that blesses all mankind as it flows from the Himalayas and finally even is the precious tincture of her essence that flows through the seven seas and is a comfort even to the ancient soul mariner.
Realize, then, that it is not that I would woo you to India - though you are most welcome to retrace the steps of my son Nicholas Roerich - but that I would place a magnet within your heart to magnetize your own momentums when your lives have crisscrossed with the avatars, when you have even known me in my own incarnation before the coming of Christ.
Thus you have served, thus you have known. Let not the passage of centuries or a Western culture bereft of these memories take from you the momentum of the building of your own inner awareness.
You must stop and think: how could you, as an individual unique upon earth, enter into the mainstream of this, our teaching, and accept so fervently the reality of our Word - even that Word that often impels you to do such things as to purchase a land such as this without the ultimate outer knowing of its consequences, of its plan? Your receptivity, beloved ones, is certainly not due to the personality of the messenger, nor to mind control, nor to brainwashing. Let them say it as they will. It is not so - and the truth will prevail! The reason for your devotion (and you need not be ashamed of that devotion) is your own soul's inner knowing and attainment and flowing with the stream of the Mother upon earth.
Therefore, stalwart ones, warriors of Maitreya, we address you. For in the physical octave you have rightly understood the great war of Armageddon and the battle of the centuries. And you recognize that the sword of the Spirit and the call itself, as the judgment, is indeed the work of Sanat Kumara.
You have opened your mouths to be his instrument. You stand with the fearless among the nations. And because all of this is made possible through you at the physical octave, we dare to challenge the bastions of the fallen ones, nation by nation.
You have seen the very testing in this week of an arm of this body - the Canadian chelas of El Morya.6 You have seen them withstand the attempts of the serpents in the media to move against them and against our message. Thus, we are gratified that they have ratified our will and our light and have not been frightened by these blasts of the very furnaces of hell that would attempt to devour the green shoots of the Tree of Life.
Each time there is the encounter, each time there is the victory, then we who watch and watch carefully each soul on the Path are emboldened to allow this light to go forth in a more physical manner and thereby to arouse the sleeping serpents, to awaken those who have been the enemies of the Buddha and the Christ throughout the centuries.
This we shall continue to do, as those who hear and read this message know that I AM Gautama, I AM still the Lord of the World, and I have indeed taken up the abode of the western Shamballa for a very important purpose. It is so that the culture of the World Mother might find streams and tributaries coming together here, that there might be preserved for the new era the essence of all that is beautiful and holy and sacred, that none be lost, and that those coming by the three hundred and sixty paths of discipleship to this hearth and home might find a remembrance of their own homeland and of the art and the culture - of the prayers, the chants, and the devotions that they have experienced on their own soil. Why, even the food prepared in their native homelands will remind them of the universal nature of the culture of the Mother.
We have chosen this site to endure cataclysm. We have chosen this site so that avatars of light, who might not otherwise consider incarnation, might be wooed here by your hearts, full of a fiery love for the ongoingness of the Cause - that we might dare once again to make physical our dream. And our aspiration must be laid at the feet of the devotee and the chela.
For surely, surely as I live, saith the LORD, the ardor and the strength of your dynamic decrees brings together and transcends all traditions of prayer, all that has gone before. And this is through the nexus of that fiery heart, the Purple Heart of Saint Germain, who has lent his entire being to this victory and who stands in the heart in this very hour to lay before me the gift of your own life and Selfhood and your own chelaship.
Truly, there is rejoicing, even as there is watchfulness. Thus, there is a measuring rod that continually measures the strength of light and of the community of light and the world opposition to that light, as the world consciousness resists its own transmutation.
Have you not heard that the complaint against the new-age religion is that those who partake of it are not the same, are never the same again - much to the lamentation of their relatives and friends?
Beloved hearts, the inner mechanism of the computer mind of the serpent consciousness is far more all-knowing than you realize. You must recognize that it has been the strategy of the fallen serpents for thousands of years to keep the children of the light from their own culture, from their own religion - to enslave them in the materialistic religion of the fallen ones, to enslave them and thereby have a continuous source of their light. For my light never ceases to flow through my own children and those who are tied to my heart by the blessed threefold flame.
Therefore, you see that it is to the advantage of those who have erected the Cain civilization, the cult of death, even the cult of the serpent itself, to keep the children of the light in those situations of family and relatives and communities and established churches where truly the light of the entire church may be one or two light-bearers so intimidated and so enslaved by the fallen ones. When these ones walk out the door and breathe the breath of freedom and are liberated by the new teaching and by the Word of God, literally those churches and temples collapse. For the light was never in those wolves in sheep's clothing that set themselves before the people, but [the light was] always in the most holy, holy innocents in their midst.
Therefore understand that the change which is wrought is merely the bringing forth of the true inner Self of the light-bearer. Whether it is churches or temples or institutions or societies or nations themselves, the serpents are threatened when they see that they may no longer control the light-bearers.
And the light that is in their souls comes to the surface, and truly they are no longer like the patine and the overlay that the fallen ones have attempted to place upon them and indeed have so for many hundreds of years - yea, thousands of years.
Thus, the freeing of the light-bearers is that which has been feared for centuries - that they will awaken to the fact that the brainwashing and the false gurus and the false teachings are those which are entrenched in the established world religions as perversion of the original light. And thus, you see, they have projected all that is in themselves into the very true faith, the true charity, and the true hope that we have set forth. For it is the hope of the world! - the hope of the seed of Sanat Kumara.
Therefore, I welcome you to this glorious battle of the Spirit. I commend you for the flame of victory that you keep, the ongoing flame of rejoicing. And I warn you that the enemy does not sleep, for the computer mind of the fallen ones continues. Therefore, be watchmen of the night as is Saint Germain. Do not underestimate the malintent of the fallen ones, and do not preclude the victory. For though it is prophesied, it may only come to pass because hearts upon earth make it so and will it so. By your actions, all can be forged and won.
Let us never rest easy. For we know that often in past history a great leader has come forth sponsored by our Brotherhood; a reign of culture and light has followed, sometimes for half a century or several centuries, and the people would conclude that they had won their freedom, won their light, won their victory. And just at that moment of a false security, in would come the fallen ones to test and to tempt them and to see whether or not they could retain that victory. But in many cases, they could not retain it.
The incarnation of fallen ones in these United States - with their drug culture, with their anti-music - was for the testing of the American people to see whether or not they would take determined action. But they did not. They took for granted that which has been given to them, hard-won by Saint Germain and his chelas.
Therefore recognize that when the hour comes that people lose their freedoms without ever knowing that they have lost them, when they are brainwashed to believe that they are free when they are not free, when they do not even know that they have sold their souls for that mess of pottage - this is the most dangerous hour in a civilization and in a culture.
And that hour is indeed upon America. Freedom of religion hard-won is not respected. There ought to be an outcry across the face of the entire land for the interference with the individual's right to contact God. Instead of the outrage against those who interfere, there is the crying out of great, great fear. And therefore, one can understand the great `imperil'7 which is multiplied through the media across the land.
Let us daily sweep clean this forcefield of imperil; for I, Gautama Buddha, invoke the presence here of Ray-O-Light, legions of the fearlessness flame, and the corresponding bodhisattvas dedicated to the white fire of the Buddha, who themselves ensoul that fearless quality of devotees who will become the Buddha, who will become the Mother - because they are fearless!
Recognize, O souls of light, that this quality of fearlessness is the very all-consuming fire! It is the very fury of God with which you are brought together. Without fearlessness, even a grain of doubt or fear in your own self or your own set of beliefs will be the open door to a mass hysteria that even now is gripping certain quarters.
Blessed hearts, I need not remind you that in the course of history, it is mass hysteria that has led people to surrender their freedoms to a fascist state, to a tyrant, to a caesar. They can in a moment be led by the Pied Pipers, who are the false gurus, to give up all that they have gained in the name of peace, in the name of protection that is then guaranteed by the new leader. Mass hysteria is the enemy of righteousness and the enemy of the Path that must be marched up the mountain.
Beloved hearts, could you believe that through the fear of the new age and the new-age teachings, there could be enacted laws abridging the rights of individuals to the free use of private property or even to the ownership thereof? Remember that outside these United States there are many countries today that would not allow the free and open practice even of this religion. And it would be denied, not on the basis of a thorough examination of the individuals or of their tenets but on the basis of this mass hysteria. It is indeed the hysteria of the Serpent and their seed - their hysteria that all the ground that they have gained and their very control of the planetary body is about to be seized from them.
Recognize the consequence of this. Study the law of the jungle. Study the beasts who are cornered. Study the backlash of the dragon's tail. Have a sense of commeasurement of the desperation of the enemy.
When you understand this desperation, you will fail not. You will understand the meaning of the Russian artist's concept of the hours between four and nine.8 These hours are truly for the artist and the artisan of the Spirit to take command over all forcefields and energies of the planetary body.
I would remind you that often that which passes through your consciousness in these early hours may be the warning of an angel of light indicating to you what dangers there are to the community. Do not pass these off lightly, but immediately set yourself to the dynamic decree that will consume this that threatens to precipitate if it is not checked by beloved Astrea and the violet flame.
Trust, then, your intuitions. Trust your soul-reading. And when you feel inordinate fear, recognize that the mass hysteria, as a wave of the astral plane, is bursting upon your own being and that, in fact, it is the hour for a consummate transmutation.
Trust, then, in God to reveal to you the conditions of the world - and fear not. When you have fear and doubt, do not begin a process of self-analysis to see why and wherefore your consciousness is, but remember that Christ in you has naught of this and you have advanced beyond these conditions of consciousness; and you ought to be thinking about the fact that you are actually a weather vane, and the interplay of vibrations of the planet come to you so that you may be a protector and a guardian of Shamballa.
Shamballa is a cause. It is a flame. It is a brotherhood. It is concentric rings of Gurus and chelas meeting on many, many planes of earth, both in the earth and over the earth. Shamballa is a living person. Shamballa is all things to all people. The cause of Shamballa is with you as you take your stand for it. And all of the reinforcements of Shamballa will defend you in the course of your defense of Truth.
Be absolutely assured by my heart flame that always and always there is sublime opportunity to forge a new day, to step higher, to declare the greater truth, to challenge the enemy. After all, we are not content merely to remain on the line of light where light swallows up darkness, but we must push back the darkness and create the new line.
The new line, therefore, as it traverses the earth, ultimately will be the line of light on every line of longitude and latitude until the whole earth becomes a grid for Sanat Kumara, a crystal planet, an abode for the Lord of the World and his chelas.
Some among our bands have said to me, almost with a certain despair, "Can it ever be and will it happen that the golden age upon earth will be physical?" And I have replied to them, with great assurance, that as long, as long as there are chelas and devotees such as these, as long as they are one and not divided, one in the purity of love - just so long is the imminence of the golden age in the physical octave.
So long as there are chelas of the will of God who march with Morya, then the physical golden age is a possibility. So long as the quotient of numbers is filled on the planetary scale and there are none who are so blind as to be backsliders, truly the all-seeing eye will lead them in the way of victory.
Let the rapture be that Christ and his beloved meet - not in the far-off worlds, but here on earth. And let there be the acceleration of the Matter body itself, as the crystal fire of the rock now expands. For I breathe upon the rock and the molecule of the mountain the fire of my heart. And as I breathe upon it, according to the preordained cycles, all of Matter of this planet is accelerated. And, precious hearts, in the accelerating process is the very judgment itself, is the change of the old order and the giving way and the last gasp of some of the serpent ones.
This acceleration is felt by all of elemental life. It has been preordained that in the hour of the securing of this land and the coming together of this group of light-bearers, that I should perform this ancient ceremony that is indeed for the turning of worlds.
It is done now at inner levels, and you have stood together to brace for that change which is to come. We trust that there will be a minimum of cataclysm as a result of this acceleration. And we trust that all who hear our Word will recognize that always in the cycles of change there is a great need to continue the vigil of the violet flame.
Acceleration is a word that is equivalent to judgment. Acceleration implements the judgment call. Let all watch and pray that the holy innocents might be guarded by the holy angels during these hours when, by the wickedness of the seed of the wicked, some must go to the prophesied harvest when the angels of the living fire gather the tares to remove them from the earth.9
I request that you respect the concept of space and the God-mastery of space. I send the call to chelas of the will of God to assist by prayer and by professional expertise, as well as the intuition of the heart, to evolve the master plan for this community. For when the plan is set, the supply can be better magnetized.
It is the law of space that that which is the matrix will always be filled. Is this room not filled? Yet there are not greater numbers than it can contain simply by the law of space. Erect, then, a larger church, and you will fill it.
Even as you have the sense of your own occupation of space by the Christ consciousness, this space is occupied by the Christ consciousness of the Mother and her chelas. Let us remember, then, that if space is to become a magnet and it is to be filled with light-bearers, those who provide the Alpha anchoring point that magnetizes the Omega must themselves have the ability to expand Christ consciousness to occupy space.
Whatever you have seen of the Inner Retreat in person or in photograph, let yourself include this in meditation. Expand consciousness through this space, and see how it will magnetize even the currents of the morning star10 and the far-off worlds and the avatars and the bodhisattvas. And take care. And let it be the Lord God Almighty within you that expels "the rebels"11 - even the rebellious tracks of your own untransmuted consciousness.
Thus, we hallow space and we dedicate it to the invincible light-bearer.
I am with you because you have consecrated this space. Until your coming and your momentum that has been established, I could not come. But I sent at first my son Kuthumi,12 that you might feel the emissary of our heart in the greatest comfort of the Royal Teton.
Now that we are here, I summon you - each evening and each night - in consciousness, to the Royal Teton. We have many plans to discuss - from your individual fulfillment of your education in Spirit and Matter to the totality of the community of individuals.
I must also say, it is exciting to be in the earth and in heaven in this hour of the victory of the Church Universal and Triumphant.
In the peace that is beyond all time and space and yet abiding within it as the nucleus of all life, I AM Gautama and I seal you in the love-wisdom of my heart.
I await the hour when you shall have earned the full power of my being also.
