ON THE MYSTERY OF THE INCARNATE WORD
VII

Children Who Have Uttered the Decree of the Word,

It is written that the Lord God "uttered his voice" and "the earth melted."1 The voice of God is his Word. Ponder now the great mystery of the incarnation of that Word!

For the Christ, as the Son of God, is the Voice of God. And when the Word of God the Father "that goeth forth out of my mouth"2 is sent and signified by the unalterable Presence of the I AM THAT I AM, it is the light of the only begotten Son of God, it is the energy of Alpha and Omega that manifests instantaneously as the Person of Christ.

Thus the Word becomes the Work of the Lord God in the manifestations of his sons and daughters. The Word is the emanation of Spirit that becomes the Work in Matter - the whole of the creation itself, culminating as the love of the Person of the Holy Ghost.

And so the Word of God, which he has declared "shall not return unto me void,"3 is always and evermore the Lord Christ whose light emanation as the spoken Word of God quivers the bow in that Christ Person who is the real Person of every son and daughter of God.

The Great Reason - the manifest Principle of the Logos - is the self-assurance within the children of God that the Real Self, their own beloved Christ Self, shall not return to the plane of Spirit devoid of good works. "But it shall accomplish that which I please"4 is the declared decree of God the Father, the veritable blessing upon the Son who comes forth out of the I AM THAT I AM to be the mediator of the Word in everyone who is born of God.

The Son is the extension of the Father in his sons and daughters, whom the Father hath sent by the power of his spoken Word. The Son is the spokesman and the mouthpiece of the Father to whom he hath "committed all judgment."5

And so the Law of God was written and it was spoken as I, Gabriel, dictated it unto the prophet Isaiah. And because Isaiah, Guru (i.e., the one who embodied the Law of the Lawgiver and the God flame) unto the twelve tribes of Israel and the thirteenth, spoke it, it remains and is the Law of their evolution unto the present hour. And that Law of the manifest Word, the unalterable decree of the Logos, is the certainty of the ascension unto the sons and daughters of God: "It - the Word, the Christ Self - shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it."6

My beloved, unto the Real Self - the One, the incarnate Word who even now is in you "the hidden man of the heart"7 - is the promise of God the Father given:

"For ye shall go out with joy and be led forth with peace: the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands. Instead of the thorn shall come up the fir tree, and instead of the brier shall come up the myrtle tree; and it shall be to the LORD for a name, for an everlasting sign that shall not be cut off."8

And the name of that LORD is the Anointed One, the bearer of the message of the Holy of Holies. Your Christ Self is the messenger of your I AM Presence - the Wonderful, Counsellor, The Prince of Peace, verily the Personhood of The everlasting Father, The mighty God: hence the Guru (the incarnation of the Light of God, the I AM).9

This beloved Christ Self, who would inhabit your temple of the living God,10 is the everlasting sign of Reality that shall not be cut off - no, not even by the free will of the soul who has rebelled against the indwelling God. Nor shall it be cut off in the person of the prophets and messengers who each in their own century come in the name of the LORD as the physical manifestation of the Guru whose presence all shall one day know.

This is the goal of the path of initiation: to know the inner Guru as the Real Self and to accept the one whom God has sent to represent that Guru until every jot and tittle of the law of personal and planetary karma is fulfilled11 - balanced - and the soul is able to see the inner Guru face to face. Thus, when the disciples asked Jesus, "What shall we do, that we might work the works of God?" he gave to them the great mystery of the Word made manifest as the Work of God: "This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom He hath sent."12

This belief, or trust, is the foundation of the Master-disciple relationship, which in turn is the foundation of the universal order of hierarchy of the Great White Brotherhood that spans heaven and earth. Thus Jesus taught his disciples that their primary obligation in working the works of God, both as dharma and as karma, was to sustain their link in the chain of being by believing in the One whom God had sent to be himself incarnate.

Belief, or trust, in the LORD (the embodied Word) is the necessary energy arcing the disciple's devotion to the Master and opening the line of his consciousness to receive the return current of the Master's love which completes the hallowed circle of their oneness.

Some upon earth have accepted the Saviour Jesus Christ as their Guru and thus commenced the circle of the Master-disciple (i.e., Guru-chela) relationship that is the only reality of existence. But they have cut themselves off from the great cosmic interchange that God has ordained for the intimate communion of the Guru (LORD) and the chela (servant), whereby the soul puts on and becomes, step by step, the Self-awareness of the Guru, while the Guru assimilates elements of the chela's consciousness which require purification, balance, and a strengthening in the law of limitless being.

This they have done by declaring Jesus to be the only Son of God and themselves to be sinners incapable of embodying the first elements of the Word and ultimately its fullness as they walk in the footsteps of their Master. Thus have they failed utterly to apprehend his great message: I go to prepare a place for you ... that where I AM (in the consciousness of the Christ), there ye may be also.13

All who therefore worship the Person of Jesus without accepting the challenge to be joint-heirs with him of the Person of the Christ - denying God's promise that he, the Great Guru of the Piscean age, has the power to make them, like unto himself, sons of God (Christ manifestations of God)14 - practice a religion of idolatry. And in their idolatry they have not the fruits, i.e., the manifest works, of the Holy Ghost, beginning with the real belief in the One Sent as the true archetype of their own Real Self.

Thus, while espousing the first requirement of the Law - the acceptance of Jesus Christ as their Saviour - these children of God led astray by "the pastors that destroy and scatter the sheep of my pasture"15 remain in ignorance concerning the second requirement of the Law.

Let the true shepherds of the people come forth who shall feed them and cause them to fear no more, nor be dismayed, neither be lacking in the wisdom of the Word incarnate, saith the LORD!16 Let the adoration of Jesus the Christ, born in Bethlehem, be understood as the very necessary beginning of the path of individual Christhood whose ending is the ultimate expression of that very same Lord Christ of Jesus within the devotee.

Thus he is the author and the finisher of your faith, my beloved, the beginning and the ending of your awareness of the "true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world"17 - first in him and then within your own blessed Christ Self into whose light he would initiate your soul.

When David penned those words spoken unto him by the voice of God, he fearlessly and forthrightly said: "I will declare the decree ..." He knew the requirement of the Law that what God had spoken to him within his heart, he himself must declare as the decree of the Word. And with the uttering of that Word, with the declaration of the decree, the law of the Guru was registered in time and space: " ... The LORD hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee."18

This decree of the Father is heard by every son and daughter of God in that moment when the soul accelerates into the individual attainment of that Higher Consciousness of the inner Christ Self. When the soul is one in Christ by loving obedience to the Person of that Christ, then the approbation given unto the only begotten Son as the Second Person of the Trinity is also heard by the soul as it is one with that inner Self. Now the soul has become the inheritor of the Christ, `Light', whom the Son Jesus became.19 And the soul receives the appellation: Son of man.20

Now let Jew and Christian unite as one before the great truth that Jesus, the Son of God, was, in a previous incarnation of his soul, embodied as David, king of Israel, author of many of the Psalms. And to him was given the revelation of his own Sonship even prior to his final incarnation when he exemplified the Messiah as the Real Self of all children of God and was the fulfillment of the prophecy which I, Gabriel, gave as the Word of the LORD unto Isaiah.

David was the king whom the LORD set upon "my holy hill of Zion,"21 and even then David held the key to the incarnation of God within his people (i.e., king). That key was the understanding of the great mystery of the Holy Grail, his own individual Christhood.

His life as David, though not wholly perfect, reveals the evolution of the soul Godward - the soul who cries out, "Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength and my redeemer."22 This is the soul immaculate who looks forward to the day when he will be perfected in God, who yet trusts in His salvation and in the ultimate fulfillment of His law, though he himself has sinned transgressing the laws of God.23

That sin was the karma of David, a misuse of free will resulting in the misqualification of God's energy and manifesting as a corresponding imbalance of the light of the Trinity burning as the threefold flame upon the altar of being.

The understanding that Jesus, the Son of God, had numerous incarnations before his final embodiment in which he demonstrated the mastery of the self in time and space and the path of initiation which he opened to the sons and daughters of God is the greatest hope to all people that they may walk in his footsteps and fulfill the law of their individual karma.

To know that the Saviour of the World did himself struggle with the human consciousness and that he outfoxed Goliath as he outfoxed Herod makes the challenge of Christhood available to all who realize that they, too, have sinned and come short of the glory of God,24 and that nevertheless they, too, may challenge the seed of the Wicked One who to this hour deal unjustly with the children of God.

Because he overcame, they, too, may overcome. Because he had karma and balanced that karma through the mercy and justice of the same law that governs the evolution of the sons and daughters today, there is hope for the resurrection and the ascension of every son of God - if he will but understand that the crucifixion will be for him also a necessary part of the victory.

The Lords of Karma desire to open the path of Christhood to greater and greater numbers, to Christians as well as Jews and Moslems who have been deprived of the true teachings of the Guru-chela relationship as taught by Jesus Christ to his disciples and as demonstrated by his soul in numerous incarnations all the way back to the civilizations of Lemuria and Atlantis.

David, the beloved, was anointed by the prophet Samuel to be king of Israel.25 When Samuel anointed the eighth son of Jesse, he taught him the Law of the King of kings - the Christ Self who is the King over all temporal kings. He taught him that the one anointed by God to rule the people must represent to the people the King of kings within themselves whom they must respect and to whom they must give authority and ultimately allow to reign supreme.

Thus all allegiance to the person of David by the people of Israel was the sustainment of a Guru-chela relationship, for the authority of the prophet Samuel came from God the Father as he was the first of the prophets, or the gurus, of the people.

His anointing of David made David an extension of the Guru, appointing him to both a spiritual and a temporal authority and making him the mediator between the people and their God, even as Moses, the great lawgiver, had served in that very same capacity.

And so when David wrote the Word of the LORD "Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion," he understood that the Christ Self of each individual son and daughter of God always sits on the right hand of God, on the mount of attainment, the holy hill of the Higher Consciousness of Zion. And here the mystical interpretation of the word Zion is I AM THAT I AM, or the individual I AM Presence.

David knew that he was anointed king because in his heart he had given preeminence to the real Person of God, the Lord Christ, and by his devotion he had placed that Christ one with the Father in his prayer and meditation. Because he had fulfilled that requirement of the Law, he himself was elevated to the position of king. Made one with the inner Christ, he then bore the divine right of the king to rule, which right is given only to those who are in that oneness of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost.

The life of David illustrates grandly and nobly that whomsoever the LORD has anointed to be the Word incarnate, to be the Guru, with or without karma, with or without sin, that one is yet the LORD's anointed and out of his mouth proceed the psalms of praise that become, in the hearer and the doer of the Word, the Word made flesh.

Let every chela of the ascended masters give praise unto the LORD who made heaven and earth and who forevermore in heaven and in earth maintains the sacredness of the Guru-chela relationship.

Volume 22, Number 1, footnote 20. The term `Son of man' (with a capital S), which Jesus used in reference to his own mission, defines the soul who has descended from the I AM Presence as the Son of God. Integrated with the Christ Self, this soul is now archetypically the presence of the Universal Soul of humanity. As in the life of Jesus, the Christ(Light) of the one becomes the Christ(Light) for all. And the Son of man is perpetually one with and representing the Holy Christ Self of all souls evolving on earth. The term `son of man' (with a lowercase s) is applied to all souls who embody with the mission of bearing the Light, balancing their karma, fulfilling their divine plan, and returning to God in the ritual of the ascension. The term `son of man' indicates that the potential exists for Divine Sonship through the path of personal Christhood - putting on day by day the garment of one's LORD, `eating his flesh and drinking his blood'.
