SAINT GERMAIN ON FREEDOM
X
The Meaning of Self-Sacrifice
Part 2

When the messenger came to the platform to deliver this dictation, she was concerned that the meshing of the light that you invoked so diligently this day was not occurring. That meshing was not taking place, and therefore she was concerned lest the dictation should not begin. And I said to her: "Begin the dictation. For the light will not penetrate any further until America and the people of America and the lightbearers of America will surrender their selfishness. For that selfishness is as an iron wall between heaven and earth, and all of the great love of God that is pressing unto Terra cannot penetrate that selfishness. It will not penetrate, for by free will the people have preferred their own pleasure to their freedom."

Well, all of the hierarchies of cosmos will not intervene! We cannot deprive America or the lightbearers of their free will. Therefore, you will decide. For I will remind you, as it has been said before, there are enough lightbearers, there are enough who know the teachings of the ascended masters, there are enough graduates of Summit University to hold the balance if they will stop their silly indulgences in all manner of self-seeking rationalized as every perversion of the God flame.

I bow my head as I call to the Elohim to release the thunder that will awaken you to cosmic purpose! There is no other purpose but cosmic purpose! There is no other life but the living unto God; for all will be lost unless you get out from that self-centered existence and stop your selfish pursuits.

Now I am speaking to those souls of light who call themselves Keepers of the Flame in the city of San Francisco. You know that I have called for that focus to be established and you know the threat of cataclysm on that coast! Why do you dally and why do you refrain from giving your all and making the sacrifice to come into the fiery core? I tell you, if you could see by what a thread that area of California hangs, you would be giving your calls night and day! You would stop this senseless, senseless pursuit of selfishness, selfishness, selfishness! You would give your love to elemental life! You would call to the beings of the elements!

When even the people who have not the knowledge of the Law prepare for cataclysm and you do not, I say shame on you! Shame on you, Keepers of the Flame! You are not worthy of the name! And I tell you, if there is not change from the students of light, I will not send this messenger to the West Coast! But you will keep and wallow in your selfishness until the day when you so hunger for the light that you are willing to walk halfway around the earth to find the truth and find the light that you have taken for granted and that you have even spurned.

The ascended masters have lavished you with love. Now I demand a response! And I tell you, if there is not a response, we will change the entire course of direction of this activity and you will wonder where your messenger has gone! And you will know that your messenger is with me; for I have preferred her company to your own, and I have other missions and I have other victories and I have other worlds to conquer.

Therefore, let those who see the seriousness of the hour appeal to the great God Star, to Surya and Cuzco, to strip America of selfishness, to strip the West Coast and the East Coast of the records of the fallen ones and the fall of Mu and Atlantis, which also fell by selfishness that became wickedness and the perversion of God through Satanism. Let all of that be stripped from the earth by the action of the Mighty Blue Eagle!

I want the children of light to know that the decrees that have gone forth from this group in Colorado Springs hour by hour have carved a mighty highway of light penetrating the astral plane whereby much light could come forth from the Elohim as a staying action to disruption in the elemental kingdom. This has occurred this week because these souls have given that light. Now, I say, let not these souls go forth, as others have done, to cease their decrees and their momentum after they have been given their twelve weeks of instruction. Let the spiral mount instead! Let it intensify! Let it be a focus in every city, in every state of America!

Let those who come to the altar for the teaching realize that unless they keep the momentum of their adorations and invocations, there will be such a setback to hierarchy on Terra that it will be impossible to regain that ground of light which has been lost by their failure, by their selfishness. We must have chelas who are ongoing, forward moving, upward rising, rising higher and higher! For to cleanse and purify this planet, there must be acceleration, intensification; and therefore [pounds podium] we count on every chela we have trained from the very first, laying the foundation for all who come after.

Let all realize that every heart who is one with the heart of the ascended masters is a part of this mighty, invincible, indomitable spiral of light that is rising from the physical plane of Mater to greet the light of God that is descending. It is by this spiral, this intensity of light and action and truth and living for God, that there is the connection of heaven and earth. And it takes a greater and greater intensity because of the greater and greater levels of selfishness that come out of the subconscious of the people to lull them to sleep with that animal magnetism of the senses. And therefore the more that is transmuted, the greater the spiral must be to keep back that wall of water that threatens to inundate even the physical plane as it comes from the astral - and it is the water of darkness and of night!

So let those who hear and read my word be warned that you cannot expect the few to accomplish what only the many can accomplish. You cannot expect the messengers to provide all of the light and all of the cosmic action for the freeing of Terra. Shame on you who have failed to give your decrees daily! How can you look at the faces of the ascended masters whom you place in your homes as a decoration, as an adornment of your ego? How can you look into their eyes when you have failed to give your two hours daily of invocations to the light? How can you? How can you?

There is only one answer. You are blinded by your own selfishness! Let it be put into the flame this day! For this is crisis! It is crisis when those who have seen God face to face fail to recognize the battle of the hour. I AM Saint Germain! I stand in the flame of freedom and I wait for the reinforcements of light!

SAINT GERMAIN as St. Alban (2). The judge recognized Alban and, outraged at his trickery, proceeded to deal with him even more cruelly than he would have Amphibalus himself. Alban was dragged before the pagan idols, scourged, and mercilessly tortured before being sentenced to death. In the bliss of his communion with God, Alban watched as a multitude gathered and went out ahead of him to witness his execution. As they came upon a narrow bridge, Alban saw that the great crowd would not be able to pass over it before the day's end. And so he walked before them to the riverbank. There, in the spirit of the prophets of Israel, he lifted up his eyes to heaven and prayed to the Lord God who only a few days before was unknown to him. The stream was miraculously divided to afford passage for Alban and a thousand followers. The executioner was converted at once and fell down at the feet of Alban, begging the opportunity to die in his stead. Both Alban and his supposed executioner were beheaded on that day and their example did much to further the cause of Christendom in England. And so it was that Saint Germain took incarnation as a pagan in order to play a role in this drama. A church was built in honor of St. Alban on the place of his martyrdom in c. 793. A monastery was subsequently added and around it the present city of St. Albans gradually grew up. The feast of St. Alban is celebrated on June 22.

SAINT GERMAIN as Proclus (410-485), Greek philosopher of the fifth century, a brilliant student of the elders at Alexandria and later a favorite pupil of Plutarch. Proclus became the highly honored diadochus or "successor" of Plato as head of the Platonic Academy at Athens where he taught metaphysics. He is known as a great systematizer, expositor, and commentator and it is through him that Neoplatonistic ideals reached their fullest development and spread throughout the Byzantine and Islamic worlds. His numerous works include Elements in Theology and Elements in Physics.

SAINT GERMAIN as Merlin the Magician first appears in the history of England prior to the birth of Arthur as mediator among barons and war lords during the sixth century. Like that of Arthur, Launcelot, and Guenevere, his story is recorded in the folk tales of nearly every European nation. According to Thomas Malory's account Le Morte d'Arthur, Merlin stands highly revered as the king's counselor, at times appearing disguised - once"all befurred in black sheepskins and a great pair of boots" - in order to convey the imminent message, warning, or initiation. According to Malory, Arthur was born to Uther Pendragon, "king of all England," and noble Queen Igraine at Merlin's own bidding with the understanding that the child would be delivered to Merlin as soon as he was born. And so the tiny newborn babe bound in a cloth of gold was brought to the "poor man" at the postern gate of the castle and taken to Sir Ector whose wife nourished him at her own breast. Merlin called a holy man to christen him and named the child Arthur. Within two years, while King Uther lay mortally ill, his enemies "did a great battle upon his men and slew many of his people." Merlin bade the king to ride into the battlefield on a stretcher, for "if your person be there ... then shall ye have the victory." So it was at St. Albans that Uther's men overcame the "great host of the North." The dying king returned to London where Merlin called together all the barons of Uther's realm in order that the king might name his heir. And Merlin said aloud, "'Shall your son Arthur be king after your days?"' And Uther answered, "'I give him God's blessing and mine' ... wherewith he yielded up the ghost." The land of England stood then "in jeopardy a long while," for many rose up attempting to capture the crown by force. So Merlin went before the Archbishop of Canterbury and counseled him to call all the lords of the realm to London at Christmas in order that Jesus, born King of Kings, might come to show who should rule England. By the alchemy of the Christ consciousness, Merlin caused the sword and the stone to appear in the churchyard of Canterbury cathedral with these words: "Whosoever pulleth out this sword of this stone and anvil, is rightwise king born of all England." By the trial of the sword - representing the power of the soul that is free from the bondage of attachment to things material symbolized by the stone and anvil - Arthur proved his kingship. Thereafter, Merlin remained at Arthur's side as counselor and friend. The young king once would have died by the sword of mighty Pellinore had not Merlin appeared and "cast an enchantment" upon the knight. It was because Arthur's sword was smitten in two during that fierce joust that Merlin and Arthur rode to the lake where they miraculously beheld rising from the water the arm of the Lady of the Lake holding the magnificent sword Excalibur. And Merlin later counseled him, "Look ye keep well the scabbard of Excalibur for ye shall lose no blood while ye have the scabbard upon you" - a prediction well fulfilled in future years. It was Merlin who went before King Leodegrance to announce the desire of Arthur to wed his daughter Guenevere. He returned triumphantly to Camelot with Lady Guenevere and the Round Table, a gift to Leodegrance from Arthur's father, Uther Pendragon. Merlin revealed the mystery of the blessed Sangreal (Holy Grail) to king and queen, knights and ladies at Camelot and, early in Arthur's reign, prophesied the day of the "great battle beside Salisbury and Modred his own son would be against him." It is told by Malory that in the end Merlin was "bewitched" and shut under a stone by one to whom he had entrusted his alchemical secrets.
