Beloved friends of freedom, artisans of good works, children of the dawn, freedom as a vital force in mortal affairs is not only the requirement of this age, but of all ages. Its preservation will determine for thousands of years the course of human events and of divine ministrations. For out of the universal circle of cosmic freedom comes forth those radiant manifestations of pure love which will alter the course of each man's life and bring him into that breathing awareness of cosmic reality for which his soul yearns.
We are concerned with the advent of freedom, then, at all times, with its preservation at all times, and with summoning the necessary powers and desires in the hearts of embodied mankind that will enable them to peer behind the glyphs of symbolic manifestation into the domain of the future. And when we speak of the circle of freedom, we speak also of the triangle, we speak also of the square, of the plumb line, and of those elements of mystic masonry which are engrained in the heart by the Eternal Father of all, whose eye is over the righteous to perceive their works and to elevate them by universal grace until their souls shall shine forth as the sun in splendor before the face of God and man.
Somehow or other, beloved brethren of the light, down through the channels of history, there has come about a clogging in man's affairs and consciousness whereby the ancient mysteries are no longer manifest in the hearts of embodied mankind insofar as the masses shall go; yet it is the will of God to establish freedom in every heart. We therefore tonight, in the name of Almighty God, invoke freedom from within the hearts of those within the hearing of our voice. We evoke freedom in the heart of this nation. We evoke freedom wherever the flames of freedom do yet live. And we call in the name of Almighty God for a cessation of all forms of human tyranny, of all that would forswear man to vanity and deceit, of all that would destroy in man the beautiful elements of the unfolding soul through greed and through the desire for personal aggrandizement.
Those of you who have long been engaged in a struggle for world freedom, for your personal freedom, and have longed to see it manifest over the face of this rolling terrain will understand that the struggle may seem long. But in the lives of most of the saints from past ages, that struggle has not in any way deterred them from continuing their search under the most adverse conditions.
It is true that the challenges that come to each individual, when they come, somehow or other, bring about in the consciousness of that individual a very great sense of oppression; for an individual has but a limited perspective in many cases and is unable to see the elements of universal wisdom behind the manifestations of tyranny or terror or boredom or outer conditions that may come into manifestation in the lives of individuals. But if men will understand that keeping the faith is the requirement of every hour and that when they cannot walk by sight they will understand the need to walk by faith, they will be able, without straining, to establish freedom within their mind.
And when freedom is established within the mind, there is sooner or later a desire to establish it within the gentle folds of the heart. And when it becomes established in the heart, as it has already been established in the mind - for by pure logic men can evoke it - you will see that it is deeply entrenched in the lives of every individual who thus has established it within his own forcefield.
We reckon with all manifest conditions, and we thoroughly understand that disturbing spirits at times will lay hold upon men's consciousness because they have not established enough immortal protection for themselves and they do not realize the perils that are involved in the search for truth. If men would be content to sit back as vegetables and simply grow, fulfill their life cycles, and then vanish away, there is little that would attack them or their purposes. But once they seek to elevate themselves out of the domain of the ordinary, once they determine that they are going to manifest and exhibit - in the face of all mankind and in the teeth of every adversity - those conditions which will establish them once and for all as a son of Almighty God and a lover of freedom's flame, then at that moment the forces bent on destruction will usually league themselves together and bring all manner of discouraging manifestations into view.
The test involved in this matter, the acid test, is whether individuals can overthrow these disturbing conditions, establish themselves once again in that state of pure balance which realizes that it is God's will pitted against human delusion, and thus they will see to it that God's will is established first and foremost in their life.
No ordinary conditions are involved in some of these matters. We have seen cases of obsession, of possession, of psychic attack, of personal attack, and of physical illness all launched against individuals in order to disturb them and prevent them from fulfilling their destiny when individuals have determined in their hearts that nothing is going to bar them from their freedom and their victory. I tell you, it is a wonderful thing to behold from our level. It is as though a channel was open to the highest levels, and one is able to pour through those channels such power of sustaining light, such a momentum of freedom from our octave that individuals that receive it know, once and for all time, that having tasted of that assistance of heaven nothing can ever again permanently disable them or disturb their world. But until they have passed through that specific initiation, until they have succeeded in mastering those disturbing outer elements that are very much in the world today, they often continue in delusion and are moved by the smallest little iota of psychic energy which thus saps their strength.
What a pity! And more is the pity that, having been once delivered out of it, those individuals who do not realize the peril in which they stand and how there is assistance at every hand are sometimes loathe to do the very necessary things which will give them their freedom at the specific moment. All they have to do, in some cases, is say, "I know that that is not true and I refuse to accept it!" - just a little thing like that, a simple state of mental rejection of a condition. And yet we have seen cases again and again where individuals were so seized upon by outer world lethargy and the delusions of the senses that they could not seem to even summon the energy to cast off all of those disturbing psychic conditions and projections that were leveled against them when they sought to do the will of God and establish themselves in a fount of freedom.
Well, precious ones, I want to tell you that tonight we are determined to bring into manifestation some of the power and dimension of our world so that we can establish in the forcefield of your being that momentum which we have of dominion over outer conditions. We want you to understand what it means to use universal energy. We want you to know what it means to harness, by the power of your mind and wills, that sovereign energy of light which is geometrically patterned into all universal manifestation. Why, your very physical forms, your minds, and all of nature is patterned after geometric perfection. And, of course, those of you who understand the Law and have had it explained to you many times will recognize that it is the energy of God that is manifesting. It is the energy of the OM - Ge-OM-etric - the energy of God that is metered out to individuals in order to show that perfection can be achieved by the individual. SAINT GERMAIN. Cave of Symbols (2). Entering an elevator, we descend a hundred feet into the heart of the mountain, emerging in a circular room having a diameter of twenty feet. We are led through a door into a huge hall, equipped with furnaces and machines for the producing of materials used in the experimental work carried on in the chemical and electrical laboratories in the upper level of the retreat. Returning to the upper level, we are shown a reception hall with a domed ceiling, adjoining sleeping quarters, and an audience hall also with a domed ceiling of sky blue with painted clouds, giving the impression of being in the open air. Here there is a magnificent organ and a piano that are used by the masters to focus the harmonizing currents of the music of the spheres on behalf of the freedom of sons and daughters of God on earth. The Cosmic Mirror is on the east wall of the Crystal Chamber. When the disciple has reached a certain degree of attainment, he is taken by the master before the Cosmic Mirror which keys into his etheric body and reflects his past lives, including the cause and effect upon his world of every thought, feeling, word, and deed that he has ever manifested. The Cosmic Mirror also reflects the original blueprint of his divine plan that is placed upon the etheric body when the soul is born in the heart of God. In viewing his past lives, the disciple then may learn what portion of the divine plan he has outpictured. He may see what conditions in his world must be corrected and what good momentums he has developed which he can now use to overcome the difficulties of the past and the present and thus fulfill his divine plan in the very near future. At the far end of the audience hall, through a concealed door, one enters the Sphere of Light, a spherical-shaped room where the focus of the sacred fire is used to intensify the expansion of the light within those who are permitted to enter there. The function of this room correlates with the action of the light in the Cave of Light in the charge of the Great Divine Director in India. Together with the atomic accelerator, these three focuses serve to bring the disciples of the masters closer to their ascension and to provide them with the assistance to accelerate the process which could not be achieved in the outer world.
SAINT GERMAIN. Royal Teton Retreat - the heart center of America on the physical, as well as the etheric, plane - has been in operation since before the sinking of Atlantis more than twelve thousand years ago. Located in the heart of Grand Teton Mountain (elevation 13,766 feet) in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, the Royal Teton Retreat is the ancient focus where early root races descended into form on Terra. Twice a year - at the winter and at the summer solstices - the Lords of Karma convene in the council chambers of this retreat to act upon the petitions of sons and daughters of God and to deliver the cosmic dispensations which come forth from the heart of Alpha and Omega in the Great Central Sun - allotments of energy for the enlightenment and progress of humanity. We approach the hidden entrance of the Royal Teton Retreat accompanied by an ascended master, for whom large boulders on the mountainside part and great bronze doors open wide. We descend in an elevator two thousand feet into the heart of the mountain. Entering the reception hall, we behold a magnificent tapestry heavily embroidered with silk and jewels, depicting the founders of the retreat in the act of invoking tremendous power from the sun. Accompanied by Ascended Master Saint Germain, Guy W. Ballard (now Ascended Master Godfre) visited the Royal Teton Retreat earlier in this century. He recorded his experiences there and in the Cave of Symbols in Unveiled Mysteries (Chicago: Saint Germain Press, 1934, 1935) and in The Magic Presence (Chicago: Saint Germain Press, 1935). Students of the ascended masters may call to the I AM Presence in the name of their own Christ Self to be taken by the angelic hosts to the Cave of Symbols and to the Royal Teton Retreat for training under Saint Germain, Lord Lanto, Confucius, and other ascended masters for the fulfillment of their divine plan in this embodiment. This training takes place during the hours of sleep as the soul is able to journey in its finer bodies to the octaves of light and the various retreats of the Great White Brotherhood.
