"And I, John, saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea."1
I come to you in the love of the Christ, the love of the Christ for His members. For you are the Body of God upon earth; and within you there is indeed focused that Light which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.2 As Paul saw the Light as Truth, so the Light to me is Love.
O America, awake! Awake, for the hour of your destiny is come! People of the world, awake! For this is the hour when either you shall be on the side of the accuser of the Christ, and the accuser of our brethren which accused them before our God day and night,3 or you shall be on the side of those who affirm the victory of Love. Which side will you choose when the Light of God descends? Will you identify with the Light or will you identify with your own darkness and the darkness of the planetary body which the Light stirs up in a mighty chemical conflagration that must precede the coming of the new heaven and the new earth?
I was with him in the garden and before at the Last Supper. I was there when Satan entered the heart of Judas Iscariot that he should betray him, and I heard our Lord say to him, "That which thou doest, do quickly."4 For our Lord was concerned with cosmic cycles and the precipitation of those cycles in the earth plane at the appointed hour. And so he told us, "The hour is come that the Son of man should be glorified."5
At times his heart was heavy,6 as the heart of every teacher who must leave his disciples shortly becomes heavy. For there is such a great bond - not as human attachment, but as the bond of Divine Love - between teacher and disciple. Our hearts were heavy too, and yet we knew that in the alchemical union of the soul with the Spirit that he was to portray before us we would know the inner communion of our God.
And yet not all understood; and some grieved, and some betrayed him, ere the cock crew, three times.7 The Christ, effulgent Light overflowing, understands with deep compassion the inabiliyty of the disciple to hold the cup steady in the final hours of the crucifixion when the Master must bear the sins of the world for a time, when he lays down his life that transmutation might take place - that which is required of the hour for civilization to continue, for opportunity as a platform of Life to continue for those evolving in lesser stages of evolution. For you see, if some do not make the supreme sacrifice of love in every age, the present world order could not continue, for mankind's karma is too great.
Therefore understand that although every man must bear his burden8 and each man is called to the judgment and judged according to his works,9 avatars who arise to the consciousness of God-awareness and to the mastery of the four planes of earth's levels of Being are given the opportunity to bear the karma of the world for a time while that karma is set aside that mankind might make progress in the Light.
And so as some proclaim the Savior who died for the sins of the world, others understand that He bore the weight of the karma of a planet so that all might progress in the Light and that this is the great opportunity for all who balance more than 51 percent of their karma - to stand in time and space and as a Hercules to hold the world upon their shoulders that mankind might go on to forge a more perfect union. This was His great gift of love, and this is the understanding that He imparted to me as I laid my head upon his chest and felt the very heartbeat of God throbbing for humanity and yearning for mankind to be free.
And now the hearts of the Ascended Masters beat in unison in a mighty throbbing, a great compassion and concern for the world that must pass through the trial by fire10 and yet is not ready for that trial. Our council meetings have been in session for many months trying to determine how we should accomplish the transition of Love. By Love, of course, all change is wrought; but if man himself is not the embodiment of Love, the Love of the Christ, then when that change is brought about, his consciousness is outside its forcefield and he suffers loss in the trial by fire.
Many months ago it was determined by the Lords of Karma and the Darjeeling Council of the Great White Brotherhood that one means of implementing change gently upon the planetary body would be to allow the Messenger of the Great White Brotherhood Mark to take his ascension, to hold the fulcrum of Light and the balance of power in the level of Spirit and to allow the Messenger Elizabeth to remain in the planes of Mater to hold the fulcrum of Light and the Mother Flame specifically for this period of transition through which the world must pass.
You see, precious hearts who yearn to see the physical face of Mark, understand that had he not gone before you to prepare the way, there might not be a way - yea, I say the earth would go through great travail and darkness far worse than that which is expected. And so I say, rejoice this day that one has ascended from among you. And in this case, one has been left;11 for this is indeed the fulfilling of the Law as above, so below. And this activity and the entire student body is a diamond electrode that issuyes forth from the Heart of God to hold the focus of balance in the coming days and months, and in the years ahead.
I say, blessed are ye who have stayed to support these Messengers in heaven and on earth. Blessed are you who have not gone back as the betrayers, as those in darkness in this hour of testing. Blessed are you who have seen the great Light,12 who have heard the call from afar, and who have come here to participate in this glorious ritual of the divine union and the marriage of the Lamb.13
Behold the Lamb's wife, the daughter of God descending out of heaven robed in white, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.14 Behold the union of heaven and earth. Behold the Light of ten thousand suns descending. This is the hour of the testing of the mettle. You have come because your souls have consented to be tested, and so the mercy of the Great Law has allowed the Mother to remain to prepare you for the testing, to give to you the precepts of the Law that are the requirement for your lifestreams.
Take Wisdom then, and forsake Her not.15 For out of the Wisdom of the Law comes forth the salvation of a planet. Many are called but few are chosen,16 because few accept the calling and few choose to be among the chosen ones. The action of the secret rays upon the consciousness is as a mighty catalyst preapring your body temples to be the dwelling place of the Most High God.17
Fear not then the chemicalization at all levels of consciousness: fear not the purging by fire; fear not to be washed clean. "If I wash thee not, thou hast no part with me"18 - words of our Lord to Peter, the impetuous one. And so as Peter, let your response be "Not only my feet, but also my hands, my head and my all."19 For ye have need to be washed, for ye are not all clean.
Let us then come and minister unto the needs of these holy ones gathered here. Let us wash their feet; let us wash their heads; let us wash all. For the Light of God upon the hillsides of the world is descending even now. And when the Light reaches the valleys and the uttermost parts of the sea, then shall the quickening come. And there must be some who can stand fast unto the hour of their own testing, their own crucifixion, and the glory of the ascension. And I must tell you it is worth all; it is worth the entire prize to sacrifice the all of the human consciousness into the Flame.
Have you thought about the fact that out of the twelve apostles and the others who were appointed, the net gain of ascensions in the life of Jesus as the result of his mission was two - that of Mary the Mother and of myself? And although many heard the word and many received the instruction, all did not pass the test of the trial by fire. Heaven demands a greater score in this age. Far more ascensions are required in this hour to keep the balance of the Light upon the planet; for each time a man or a woman makes his ascension, the karmic hammer is stayed for a time. For in the crucible of consciousness, that individual has taken into himself a certain portion of planetary darkness.
I, John, speak to you out of the love of Cosmos. I say it is absolutely imperative that you dedicate your entire life and consciousness to the ascension and do all that is required of you. Have you yet sweat as it were great drops of blood as Jesus did in the Garden of Gethsemane?20 Have you worked until you dropped? Have you truly given the total striving of your being? Have you tested what your being is capable of when you say, "Father, into Thy hands I commend my being;21 I of mine own self can do nothing, it is the Father in me who doeth the work"?22 Have you loved your lives or have you determined to be counted among those who loved not their lives unto the death?23 Have you held back part of the price and thus temporarily lost your physical life as Ananias and Sapphira?24
