The Grace of Eternal Purpose

     All Christ Blessings:

Let the remote sense cease. God is at hand - your Father and mine. Ever constant, ever faithful, He abides, hoping for the extension of Himself in form.

The beautiful mystery of the coming of the Light is one of steadfast evolvement that ever waits for the dawn and never forsakes the hope of its appearing. There is a certitude within the heart that rings out the Truth for all time. God is in the earliest Light and will persist until darkness is no more and only Light endures in the square of Matter, contriving to arrange an order of progress that conveys the glory of God to every man.

There are no imperfect images in the grand halls of the Mind of God, but only the stalwart release of those qualities which He hopes to see realized in His creation. Heaven is His throne and earth His footstool.1 When the concept of be-ness - I AM that I AM 2 - is seized by the mind, it cleaves to the mighty recognition of Life that tongue may not utter and that eye may not behold. This is the Way that mortal mind would opaque from the vision of men; but those who dwell in the tents of the godly, that like stars are encamped round about those who fear Him, are not moved from the central purpose of Life. Disrespect for universal purpose or failure to apprehend the fact that universal purpose does exist prevents men from entering the kingdom of heaven.

O holy night of each man's birth into that kingdom! What joy is shed abroad in celestial realms as the darkness of mankind's consciousness is dispelled in the awareness that "I AM the Light of the world!"3 "Before Abraham was, I AM!"4 declares the eternal Christos. The be-ness of Spirit includes the presence of purpose from the foundation of the world that not only penetrates the dark night of the ages but endures in the permanent realm of spiritual omnipresence. It interpenetrates even the atoms of physical manifestation and makes permanent the fire in substance which steadfastly declares that the very ground where the manifestation of God occurs is holy.5

To hallow space and substance by invocation to the Holy Spirit is to avoid their desecration by the error of neglect. To determine that the flow of thoughts and feelings through the aperture of the mind will remain polarized to higher purpose is to avoid the sins of commission by the virtue of positive action.

If ever there was a child of the devil, it is that one who sustains the concept of belittlement of self or belittlement of others; for the demons of belittlement have again and again destroyed the confidence of the children of God in the mission of the Christ. Stooping to lessening concepts, they flee from before the appearance of valor; they flee from the realms of a spiritual culture and enter the netherworld of fad and fancy. They call to the mountains of oblivion to fall upon them through the ritual of suicide, failing to understand that our love is the Light that overcomes the darkness.

Midst the spirit of world hatred, world confusion, and world misunderstanding we remain, constant as always, immovable as the North Star, to give the best gift unto man - the gift of the Morning Star. He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith.6 The Morning Star is the original, pure and perfect pattern held in the Mind of God from the earliest beginning, whereby there can and will be conveyed to every soul the allness of universal perfection, that the soul and consciousness may expand in the Divine Image into the realm of self-mastery. Out of the unity of the Father and the Son is born the triumph over Matter, over time, over space - from mortal density to immortal immensity.

Chastise thyself not! See that thou doest it not; but shed the coat of thy oppressive misqualification, of thy ignorant efforts, and the self-righteous garments that thou flauntest before the world as a badge of courage. Replace it all by the grace of eternal purpose!

Out of oneness with God is born the sense of unity of Father and Son. Man needs not an idolatrous self-made image, but a universal image of the living God, a determined awakening and awareness within himself that the never-failing Light of God, holding the hand of his individuality, shall lead him into all Truth by the Spirit of the living Christ.

It is mockery to presume that the shallowness of mortal concepts can bring deliverance to the soul, that the hollow echoes of men's intellectual strivings can be a source of true freedom. Only the joy of cosmic interdependence between God and man can bring awareness; only inner dependence upon the faculties of grace and truth descending from the Great Mediator can provide a merciful and acceptable sacrifice for the shortcomings of the outer self.

For God is not vengeful, but eternally merciful. The message of His love shone in the Star and in the watchful care of Joseph, my earthly father, and Mary, whom I always considered as my heavenly mother. In the acts of these two humble people was the manifestation of the Eternal Presence. Light flowed into darkness and the darkness disappeared; and the balm of comfort became an unguent to the world.

     Now the callousness of men
Recurs again and again,
Yet tiny prayers are heard.
An echo of the past is born,
Voicing anew the lost Word.
The Spirit flows most sweetly
Each new and living day,
Recording then completely
God's message for today.
His heart forever burneth,
Aflame with love's delight,
Eternal cycles turneth,
The wheels of stars so bright.
O sweet and blessed Christmas,
Within each heart reborn,
No frailty in purpose,
Thou art a stellar morn!
The majesty of triumph
O'er stain and darkness bold
Will change the dusty charms
Into the purest gold.
For only Truth can conquer -
It has the power to free.
Man's thoughts still enter blunder,
But Christ will ever be.
My garments hold the ages;
The multitudes confuse
Who write upon the pages
So often wrongly used.
But still I came unto them -
I AM and I remain
The Prince of Peace forever
To free the world from pain.
Oh, hear, then, now my outcry -
It is a voice most loud.
Oh, won't you hear my message?
But do not heed the crowd.
For few there be that enter
From multitudes that fail,
But God remains the center -
One day His Light all hail!
For now through time and tide I move;
Each year to some I truly prove -
The King of Kings and Lord of Lords
Finds birth in any heart
To show each man the Truth at last -
That he and God are not apart.
For lo I AM and you are too
One Image in his thought,
That all may telegraph the Truth:
Behold what God hath wrought!

     Devotedly in the unfailing Light,

Jesus
