Seek an Immortal Friend

To Those Who Would Walk with God in This Age:

The paradise of Light escapes those unwilling to place their trust in the sublime purposes of Life manifest in nature. The organization of both organic and inorganic substance is a miracle of electronic efficiency, an infinitude of certainty about the destiny of Life.

Man's struggles to understand his little self and his greater Self, which seem to stretch endlessly before him, are a drama of supreme indulgence. As the interminable night of uncertainty in unreality plagues child-man, the long-suffering nature of God attends the hour when the darkness of aloneness will give way to the dawn of his all-oneness, his be-ness in the Central Sun of Reality. Then all mankind shall see the emergence of the greatest consecration to purpose, the greatest comfort of heart, and the highest delight of mind and being.

The concept of oneness is ever an outreach through the doorway of selfhood to the magnificence of the divine intent, fashioned from the beginning through the orderliness of the Consciousness of God. The fact that individuals do not feel His Presence or make conscious contact with the Supreme Radiance is no cause to deny it. For the Sun of righteousness, who ariseth with healing in His wings,1 also carrieth with Him the greatest peace and the greatest purpose that can most certainly be cognized by any manifestation of His Spirit. Nevertheless, the abuses of the carnal mind are legion as it surfeits in the knowledge of this world that, through the variegation of motif, denies the simplicity to be found in the doorway to the Eternal Consciousness.

Simplicity is the keynote of spiritual discernment. With the mind and heart as of a child, man may approach through the humble doorway of selfhood the Divine Radiance that manifests everywhere. Men stoop to go through the doorway and rise to stoop no more. The dignity of the Divine drapes the mortal form; the consciousness is imbued with the perpetual wonder of eternal discovery. The inscrutable becomes linked to the self, and understanding blossoms as a flower.

I think then of the beauty
Of the unsophisticated child
Who raises hands in holy prayer,
Parting then and there
The continents of the air.
Shining faces peeping through
The latticework of heaven,
Now appearing in full view,
Unveil protection's shower,
Radiant love rays, God's own power.
Sensual contact disappears,
And graceful listening always hears
The Word of God to man.

We await the acknowledgment by man of the power of his mind to penetrate form and substance and to induce the perception of intricate and far-off worlds instantaneously upon contact with any part of Life - even with invisible realms; for these are as real, and even more so, as that which comes in contact with the external surface of the eye.

The eyes of the soul open with childlike wonder and envision in hope a new day when the visitations of God upon the planet shall become so logical, so acceptable, and so meaningful to the masses of mankind that from the earliest days of childhood the knowledge of God will be given as the very foundation of the creative life. Thus will gentleness and peace replace the sense of struggle that denies God's abundance as the fruit of His wisdom for all.

The mystic message "I AM come that they might have Life, and that they might have it more abundantly,"2 echoing through the two-thousand-year chamber of the historical flow, speaks to hearts today and for aye. The abundant Life within you is the panacea that cures all human ills, that brings the mind to a natural frequency in harmony with the omnipotence of God. Unless men develop their potential spiritual outreach, which all possess to a greater or lesser degree, they will lack the ability to relate with the great frequencies of the future. For how can they be changed "from glory to glory" except by the Spirit of the Lord?3

The tranquillity of God covers the earth like a mountain of Light. As men rise through the peaceful avenues of heavenly pursuit, their understanding rises with them. The fragrance of God is a tangible offering made by the Spirit unto the soul of man. Can man do aught but return to the Spirit the fragrance of holy prayer and service offered to the Body of God on earth?

What a delusion is the supposition that God, in bestowing free will upon the race, has endowed it with a latitude of choices all the way from relative good to relative evil! Who is the rationalist that thinks the Almighty caters to a broadening way where anything goes as long as it is meaningful to the individual?

The Lord left no room for compromise in His statement "Strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto Life, and few there be that find it."4 But once the Elysian fields are perceived by the eye and the elixir of immortal Life is drunk by the mind, the consciousness, imbued with the hope of the infinite Omnipresence, exclaims:

"Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised!"5
The mountains cover His framework
And the seas are the outpouring of His mouth.
The firmament uttereth beauty,
No darkness is there to be found.
The dearest fruit of the ages
Tumbles from the Tree to the ground;
In hope man raises it upward -
His esteem is a magnet of faith
To draw humanity higher,
Away from their toys and their ploys,
Accenting the beauty of heaven
And bringing to all God-poise.
For thought is the doorway to contact,
And contact the blessed release
That brings to each soul the sure knowledge
That I AM the Prince of Peace.
The world's warring capers must end then,
All struggle of ego so bold;
And man, like a rocket free-rising
At dawn's beginning in gold,
Shall conquer the spoiler and mocker
Who laughs at the children of God
With fire descending from heaven
On pathway the saints have trod.
All motive bends purely to Love's ray,
His strength is the strength of ten.6
For surely our God will triumph;
His victory's the victory of men.

Midst all of the struggles, the wars, and the prophecies of the ages, the return of God into the rustic hearts of men has continued. But I AM confident that if the reappearance of the Spirit is to be accelerated, a new sense of Life must be formed - a point of contact with Reality, a point of receptivity to Truth, outlined in the renewal of each man's definition of free will. The free will of God can be the free will of man. Man can make it so, for God wills it so. Only thus will the night of his misunderstanding fade in the golden dawn of Christed illumination.

It has been done before; it can be done again. The successful mastery of unknown worlds by an unknown God7 declare we unto you. The victorious overcoming by untold evolutions in untold ages past is the promise and the hope of Light's victory to this generation. The potential is here within every man who will return to the inner walk with God.

In all of the frightful aspects of delusion and confusion humanity now face, we come with our counsel into the marketplaces of life to meet with the children of men. As they seek a mortal friend, so it is needful for them to seek an immortal one. The raising of the consciousness into the present possibility of friendship with God which Abraham knew8 reveals the consummate sense of Light completing its potential.

The potential of humanity is very great. What a pity so few know it. In bestowing upon you now the knowledge of your opportunity to make contact with us as your friends of Light, we remind you of your individual need to comprehend the never-failing Light of God. The peace we leave with you, the peace we give unto you,9 is from the balm of our hearts, received from Him who said, "Thou shalt have no other gods before me ... for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God."10

Awaken, then, to the realization that the passing of the darkness will come, that the night shall not always linger, that men shall not always slumber. There is hope, and that hope lives in you. It also lives in us; therefore we would make this day a bond of hope between the communion shores of our hearts. For the ageless days of the past - the ages of glory and fulfillment - are linked to contemporary man through the universal Christ Consciousness.

We extend our hands through the veil, and the name of the veil is hope. Our hands are hands of charity. Won't you accept the proffered gift in faith? For without this trinity of action man would sleep and dream, perhaps nevermore to wake. With it, all Life shall move toward a far-off victory, realized in part this day. Though you now see through a glass darkly, when you see face to face, you shall truly be known as I AM known - one with God.11 And so shall you be received, even as you also shall know God and receive Him.

Your life trembles in the chalice. The planetary chalice quivers. We come in the name of the Lord. The seed of the living Word shall not return to us void or unfruitful.12 Life shall triumph over death, and the mountain of the Lord's anointing shall inundate the brutishness of human thought with the oil of mercy.

Gratefully, I AM your elder brother,

Enoch
