Vol. 9 No. 21 - Beloved Mighty Arcturus - May 22, 1966

As the rain forms above the heads of men and cannot be stayed in its descent, so the mighty plan of God was formed before the foundation of the earth and will continue to descend as mighty cosmic rays upon the planets and system of worlds everywhere for the accomplishment of the divine intent.

The resistance of men to conformity with the will of heaven, albeit the will of heaven has given to the hand of man the freedom to choose, is ever a force which deteriorates the majesty of life for individuals and brings to them the empty husks of dissatisfaction. When the love of God is examined by those who know it through experience, when the love of God is examined by those who have won their freedom through its use, there is never the slightest bit of criticism of the holy purposes of immortality, but only a humble, burning gratitude that determines to in some way, through all the cycles of eternity, give honor and glory to the precious purposes conceived in the mind of God and passed through the cycles of life into form and manifestation.

The tragedies of human experience lie not within the realm of heaven but are manifestations of human choice, most specifically those choices which are made in the bane of error and without honoring righteousness among mankind. How well we know, precious ones, how unjust many of life's circumstances seem to be to those whose limited vision can only perceive effects; but when causes are witnessed and brought to the table for examination, there is never a flaw to be found in the execution of justice, or a method discovered that could exceed the wisdom of heaven in its immeasurable desire to communicate to the foundling cosmic child an awareness of the love of the Father for that orphaned one who knows not the love of Cosmic Father and Cosmic Mother.

We cherish each opportunity to perpetuate divine ideals among men and to espouse those sacred causes which have, in aeons gone by, produced so much perfection on other systems of worlds. Our philosophy is the philosophy of God. It is not an untried system, nor are its methods lacking in eternal calculation. They are the safest and most loving means whereby the soul can expand its seemingly frail faculties until, on wings of infinite love, man can attain those heights of cosmic identity which will show him the way to go and the best methods of assisting all below.

The release of God's energy to mankind through the centuries, as many of you know, has been deliberately subjected to limitation in order to prevent mankind from utterly destroying himself by a waste in the wrong direction. As time moves on in the individualized cycle of man's existence, and as he exhibits acceptance of the wisdom of God in a greater measure, there will naturally occur a stepped-up release of the internal tides of cosmic energy which will enable men to serve, not in a languid manner, but in the grand and towering figure of Christhood upon the hills of the world, dedicated to cosmic service.

There is a flaw in mankind's thought which seeks to defer all accomplishment or attainment unto the end of an embodiment or an era, but the long, upward pull requires pure energy for each day of the journey in order that noble effort may have its cyclic reward in the minute, hourly, and daily girding for service. Even contemplation of higher ideals is a means of garnering energy into the storehouse of one's being; and therefore, those who would emulate the Christ in serving the needs of their fellowmen and becoming their "brother's keeper" must understand the methods of heaven. We take no halfway measures; we permit no dalliance that is not devoted to the expansion of some Godly quality.

Take, for instance, the full measure of cosmic joy. So great is the very throb of heavenly joy that it would be a destructive manifestation to one who was not wholly God-concentrated. Therefore, the manifold treasures of God's own joy are released in a series of wavelike upliftments which bring transitory delight to mankind, whose sensitivities to spiritual radiation stem from the opening of the cosmic centers of being in man. As greater service and devotion further schools and develops the inner man, there is often a step-up in such delight until internal ecstasy is achieved. Those who behold men in such states of heavenly bliss, as in the case of saints long since passed to their reward, are frequently puzzled as to what the sustaining momentum might be, as to what the contemporary reward is that seems to come to those who so serve, contrary to the ideas of popular opinion concerning that which constitutes a perfect or a whole man.

Let those who would examine these factors in a more intimate manner understand that self-experience cannot be substituted for by the merely vicarious observations of another. Ever and anon, men are seeking, but the greatest tragedy of it all is that many who do find, know not that they have found and therefore pass bitterly and emptily on their way to "more fertile fields." There is, then, as Saint Paul long ago declared, great gain in "godliness with contentment" and I stress to all not the contentment of complacency, but the contentment of the spark of the Spirit which arises because men have offered themselves in cosmic service and without reserve. If men and women only knew the great benefits conveyed through devotion without reserve, I am certain that the number of devotees on the cosmic path would increase immeasurably, and thus the days of service be shortened for all because the ranks of the faithful were swelled.

Now is the hour to accept your opportunities, to make your determinations, to set your courses, and to realize that the blessedness of consciousness, which you so lightly call your own, was given to you that you might "choose this day whom ye will serve" and enter in to the joy of his service. Thus, as Saint Germain has long told you, you will find your freedom just around the corner - the right-angle turn - for your determinations are not made in the line of self-return but in the angle that pursues and seeks God and his kingdom.

First, foremost, and forever in unswerving devotion to the cause of infinite Good, I AM

ARCTURUS
