The Sharpening of the Razor's Edge
You have had released into your worlds the Flame of Love from the Heart of Beloved Mother Mary, the Flame of Love from the Lord of the World, Beloved Gautama, and the Flame of Love from the Heart of Beloved El Morya, Chohan of the First Ray. May I add to Their great outpouring, in this the first month of the new cycle, a release of the mighty Flame of Cosmic Freedom into the world of every one who is ready to continue in the Holy Quest of finding a more abundant era of Freedom for himself and for all mankind!
The challenges of Life which are presented in the experience world with the passing of the days and the hours may contain some surprises. No distress ought to be associated with the unexpected, for if a chela holds his consciousness in complete attunement with his Divine God Presence, there is no outer condition which can have any lasting or permanent effect upon his world. The pursuit of Freedom in this day and age is as noble an occupation as any man can follow. Craftsmanship and skill applied to the Divinity of Man are as much the requirement of this hour as they are for any form of outer service. The votaries of Heaven have the right to expect a complete offering from those who profess to serve Our Cause.
To keep a Flame burning, which is dependent upon a supply of fuel, it is necessary that foresight be exercised, not only in the selection of the fuel but also in its deliverance to the appointed place at the appointed hour. Many events of the past year have held many possibilities of terror for the earth. An amazing degree of Protection and Comfort have been afforded to the world and its people through the power of Spiritual Ministration. Our gratitude is a sweet incense before the throne of God, and Our prayers are unceasing that men of noble origin will continue to seek that degree of integrity which is the portion of every Son of God.
Who can deny that energies have been frightfully wasted by the world's people? And yet, without direction and without understanding as to the correct manner of employing both time and opportunity constructively, it is easy to see where even the mighty can fall into the habit of carelessness. Perhaps the greatest cause of world confusion is the apathetic state of mind which thinks it no longer requires - or so it seems - the sharpening of the razor's edge or the whetting of the blade for the purpose of removing human stubble.
Beloved El Morya and I in many communications of Heart have indicated to one another Our gratitude for having won Our Ascension in a time when less clatter and clamor were in manifestation upon the planetary body. The electronic age in which you live today is filled with many blessings, but were the misfortunes of war ever to occur in this age, so dependent upon electricity as it is, mankind would find a terror that never before has faced the earth.
Because of the import of the great convocation held in Washington, D.C., during the period preceding New Year's Day, it is My wish that some of that Holy Substance released in the Ascended Master Addresses - especially the words of Beloved Chananda and Mighty Cosmos - if not the entire Class (which would be Our wish) could be released in a special dispensation as quickly as possible so that the pursuit of the Holy Plan can be implemented by all in unified action. Whether this can be done will, of course, depend to some degree upon the postponement of other activities and the transfer of energy allotments to the more immediate demands. It is also necessary to secure a greater outreach, Blessed Students of the Light, whereby, according to the words of Beloved Chananda and the Indian Council, ten thousand people will be contacted this year through the students of this Activity.
It cannot be denied that the messages of the Ascended masters must be placed in the hands of those receptive chelas who will understand the meaning behind Their releases. It is not enough to merely read or to have faith in a principle: the principle must become the law in action and the law in action must become the life matrix of each individual. There is so much understanding yet to be conferred that it amazes Me how some students of the Light of long-standing can foolishly permit themselves to feel, by reason of their advancement, that any of Our words released today are unworthy of their attentions.
One of the wondrous characteristics of Beloved Ascended Master Jesus was His great humility which caused Him to review and review, again and again, the same holy principles. Remember, Dear Hearts, to review means to see again, and if that which you see again was worthy of the first viewing it shall be worthy of every subsequent viewing. It is never a question of taking the grade over; moreover, the chela must never allow himself to be fooled by the argument of boredom and sameness, which is indeed propounded by the vanity of the human intellect.
When dealing with Holy Principles and Divine Law, with words of Light and Life spoken from On High, there is a subtle Essence permeating their very release which is like the renewal of the diastole and systole of the heart. Each heartbeat signifies a reinvestment of God's Love in the perpetual flow of Energy into the form of Man. The Mighty God Presence of each individual sustains that individual consciousness whether in the body or out of the body, and there is no permanent death anywhere in the universe under Our present system.
It can be seen and ought to be recognized that many creations are unworthy of continued existence and ought to be changed in form and, therefore, the great Law of Life in its plasticity has permitted the power of transmutation to alter the form of substance in order to present a better and more glorious hope of the manifestation of Universal Law. The shape of things to come, the life plan for this year, its place as a link in the chain of the century, must be considered but only in the light of history and in the light of possibility. You cannot mend the past, but you can learn from it. You can prepare for the future and you can serve the future today in the Holy Cause of Freedom.
The multitudes who have been swayed by factors of heredity, by controlling factors of environment, and by hypnotic actions of those who profess to minister to a gospel, while seeking to turn aside whole houses for the sake of selfish interests, must recognize these erroneous influences for what they are. At least none of the students of the Light ought to be brought under the power of any of these tenacious forms of tyranny. And those from among mankind who are prone to gullibility, credulity and weakness must be strengthened in faith in God and in the sensibility of the divine approach. Accusations of fanaticism against metaphysical movements have resulted from the very lack of discernment and discretion exercised by some of the leaders and many of the adherents of these movements. We plead for the convenience of common sense in the administration and presentation of the Divine Ideal to man.
We do not expect - although We wish it - to see the world changed over night from a predatory jungle to become a habitable place of peace and harmony. We do expect this reform within the consciousness of chelas of the Light. We expect thousands to be contacted who will respond and We expect these to contact others until a new dimension is created. And so the cycles will continue, new horizons coming forth from the Flame of Freedom and out of the fire of a right perspective to bring all things into perfect balance.
Beloved Ones, mankind, when aligned with the purposes of the Holy Spirit and responding to the divine stimulae of their own Mighty God Presence, are Flames of Freedom in action. They need not look for another to deliver them, for within the sacred province of their own Being all blessings can be conferred.
I close with the words of the Beloved God Presence speaking to Moses from out the burning bush - " ... Put off thy shoes from off thy feet, for the ground whereupon thou standest is holy ground." Right where you are within your own Being, the Holiness of God abides, remains, and lives. There you must find the beginning of your Pathway back to God's Heart.
