The invisible Essence of God is expressed all around Man in Nature. Those who gaze upon the screen of life see but the outer manifestation, whereas in cinemaphotography the beholder can gaze backward from the screen to the projection lens and light beam which passes through the film or blueprinted God Design to perceive a more infinite degree of the Presence of the Creator Who so wondrously expresses in outer manifestation.
The agency of the Holy Spirit descending, as with the sound of a mighty rushing wind on the day of Pentecost, assumes a more volatile aspect of God than that expressed in the gentle ministrations of Nature. But, as the Representative of the Holy Spirit, let Me say to all that the greatest experience which can befall Man in connection with the Holy Spirit is that which occurs on an individual basis; the words of the Master which declared "Verily I say unto you, ye must be born again," indicate that "that which is born of flesh is flesh and that which is born of Spirit is spirit."
Let all know, then, that the very consciousness employed by Man in assuming his own earthly identity must be introverted in order to closely attune with the God within and find the precious Flame Spirit of Holiness posited in the center of Man's heart chalice. From thence he must begin to trace the pathway Home of that Flame - upward through the myriad manifestations of outer Nature, piercing the sky envelope that is the ionosphere of the planet, back through the solar logoi and thence to the very Heart of Creation through the Cosmic Hierarchial Design to the Great Central Sun.
I AM well aware that the simple "Way" is eulogized by the theologians of the world, and I wish to indicate herein that there is nothing complex about the Cosmological Plan referred to, insofar as the journey in Consciousness is concerned. An individual may with ease return to the Heart of God in concept or thought and thus immediately fulfill a part of the Divine Purpose. But, inasmuch as God intends to confer upon Man not only the glories of conceptual reunion, but also the vestments of eternal power and dominion, He is not satisfied to have Man merely assume the role of the monad in manifestation, but He demands that those who would fulfill the Father's total Purpose shall also be able to enter into the very Heart of the mysteries of Nature and Nature's God! This includes the control of both cyclic and cyclonic forces, in human dimensions as well as in divine spirals.
Because the pathway of Freedom is ever so much enhanced by the Power of the Holy Spirit, The Darjeeling Council of God's Will, together with Beloved Saint Germain, have asked Me to write a series of letters to the students from My own Heart. The purpose of these letters will be to trace out within the framework of each Man's own Being a greater understanding of how the Holy Spirit may be personally contacted, and to reveal how a climate of receptivity may be created in the heart of each blessed chela, which will make him a fortress of strength, both to his brethren and those in his immediate environment, and within his own Being.
Weaknesses may be despised by men but in examining their causes they are found to stem from conditions of spiritual lack or a vacuum, although in some few cases they are the result of energy well spent. In the latter instance, weakness is temporary and vitality is quickly renewed by the Holy Spirit. It is an interesting sidelight to observe in connection with manifest weaknesses that individuals who are prone to pronounce judgment upon one another do so without observing or analyzing the records of the total lifestream: The Karmic Board and those illumined by God and given charge over such matters which pertain to the life record of an individual make no such hasty decisions, but they ponder with care, love, and tenderness the story of each individual lifestream.
Blessed Ones, the Advent of the Holy Spirit in each individual Heart can be compared to the transfer of the Cosmic Blueprint for the Earth from the Heart of the Great Silent Watcher to the realm of dense or physical creation. In order to encourage each wayfarer to come into greater understanding and attunement with the Beloved Holy Spirit, I AM setting forth in this and in coming dissertations certain vibratory patterns designed to encourage each individual, regardless of his station, to find within his own heart a greater measure of compassion for others and for his own blessed self.
It has been rightly said that many men are their own worst enemies. Be this true, it need not so continue, for the Christ of every man has manifested in order to bring deliverance to each one. Social chaos and unrest may be disquieting even as warfare disturbs the happiness of nations, but the internal warfare between the flesh and the spirit can be successfully waged only through a more complete attunement with the bulwarks of the Holy Spirit or the WHOLE-I-SPIRIT!
The statement "What is man, that Thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that Thou visitest him?" must be understood. The "spirit" of Man is distinct, Blessed Ones, from "the Spirit of God." The Spirit of God is the Spirit of complete Goodness, of complete Wholeness. The Spirit of God does not require Perfection; it already is Perfection. The pristine spirit of Man can be likened unto a clean white slate or a chalk board which a teacher uses to add sums. The impressions of life, the happenings and events thereof, make their record on the spirit of Man, which is intended to eventuate in union with the Spirit of God. However, the reactions of Man to the pressures of his environment and to the pressures of the spiritual World of the Invisible all create their engravings on the spirit of Man; but, until the spirit of Man has become wholly Godlike, it is not a reliable source of advice, and the Most High must be continually contacted and consulted.
Man is embryonic. He is becoming. This is his perennial state until wholly illumined. He cannot become more Manlike, but he can become more Godlike. The molding factors that make it possible for the Holy Spirit to shape the destiny of the individual are these: Holy Prayer uttered from the heart; Holy Meditation selflessly offered - and herein may I say that one engaged in such meditation is never too busy or too concerned with the manifestation even of God's Kingdom to turn aside for a moment and render assistance to his brother; Holy Faith persistently sought as the Gift of God; Holy Compassion and Charity toward others that senses and sees their struggles and does not desire to add to their burdens; Holy Service that, as symbolized in Albrecht Durer's painting of hands extended in prayer, continually offers hand and heart and head to be the Hands and Head and Heart of God. These attitudes make for any individual who will persist in holding to them for a given period an open door through which the Holy Spirit may enter in.
Now, there is a vast difference between the imparting of simple Holy Wisdom and the positioning of that Wisdom in the frame of reference of the daily ideational world of man and the Infinite Ideal World of God. This is not a subject for a momentary or hasty decision. In great patience men must possess their souls and be content to move forward from day to day until the splendor of His shining surrounds them with the great Immortal Aura of The Christ; for as of old, it is hard for any to "kick against the pricks" of their Immortal Inheritance and all can and should bask in the radiant sun of the Holy Spirit Whose ancient Loveliness lifts all to the eternal hills where the glory of the Eternal Day continues to shine forth.
