     The Mother of the World

To All Who Belong to the Heart of the Great Mother,

As a Celestial Lyre, the Harmonies of Heaven tremble the heart of a waiting world. For some, the wind bloweth and passeth; for some, the sun shineth and setteth in the west. For some, hope flickers feebly and then dies. Yet, for those who wait upon the Lord, all things stand in a permanent state of wondrous knowing.

The Heart of the Great Mother is seldom realized by mankind and yet I would speak this day of the Mother of the World. One of the central causes of conflict between the Catholic world and the world of Protestantism has been the doctrine of the sovereignty of Beloved Mother Mary. Let Me hereby assert in Her Name and by Her Love that She has never been a part of this controversy; neither has it been Her wish to extend to mankind any form of requirement whereby they should worship or adore Her as the Peer of any of the Masters of Holy Wisdom, including Her Beloved Son Jesus. Yet there remains much gross misunderstanding which centers around this entire concept.

Mother Mary is a true and gracious Lady of Heaven. She contributed to the world's annals a remarkable fortitude. She held an Immaculate Concept for Her Son and She sustained in Him, until He was able to sustain It within Himself, a supernal Radiance that was one of the magnificent contributing factors to His Own Victory.

Because She lived, He lived more wondrously still. Because She breathed into Him the God-feeling She had nourished, not only in Her embodiment as Mary but also in past eras of achievement, She was able to cultivate and to direct into action within His thoughts and feelings the very subtle and yet powerful Qualities that made Him the Divine Man that He was. It is indeed unfortunate for the world that, because they have placed their attention upon areas of conflict, they have been blinded to the amazing contribution of Mother Mary to the Life of the Christ.

Precious Ones, Man cannot justly sever the Holy Family. They cannot take this Tri-Unity of Cosmic Beings, Who appeared upon the Screen of Life to outpicture a drama of the Ages, and say, "This Man is truly the Son of God," and then deny the divinity of Joseph, the Guardian Protector, or of Mother Mary, the wondrous Queen of Love Who guarded the sanctity of His tiny form prior to his birth and then held her wonderful hands of Light over him through his boyhood and early youth.

She followed him not only to Golgotha's Hill but to the Tomb of Arimathea. She awaited his coming resurrection with hope; and Her spirit flew forth from Her body to greet the Angels of the Resurrection with the first rays of the dawn. She mingled Her own voice with Their voices, as Their pulsations rang in paeans of Fire the holy invocative tone that stimulated the process of resuscitation within His form. She joined the other two holy Marys as they came to greet Him, and His Victory was Hers as much as it was His.

Christendom has been intricately involved throughout the centuries in the affairs of men; it has been woven through the feudal systems of Europe, through castles and crowns, through vassals and slaves, through struggles and triumphs, and has itself passed through a baptism of fire. Much of this fire has been inflicted upon mankind and, while the numerous conflicts have occupied the battleground of men's consciousness, the glorious intentions of Christianity and of spiritual Motherhood have often been forgotten.

Today the radiant picture of Mary is a picture of The Mother of the World. It is the picture of every mother who will of her own child say, "Behold this is the Son of God. I AM His Guardian Mother."

Blessings at this holy season when the hearts of all turn in gratitude to the one they call, "Mother."

     Lovingly,

THE MAHA CHOHAN
