A Gentle Heart, A Waiting Mind, and Good Earth
The Brothers of the Golden Robe, in Their ceaseless outpouring of Adoration to the Mind of God, seek to perpetuate in those who presently possess a sense of Christ-attunement the mighty uprising of the strands of consciousness of the multitudes who reach out with finite hands to contact the Hand of the Infinite One.
The outbreathing of the Holy Word is always accompanied by a release of omnipresent Power. Such Power could never flow forth from the Godhead except It were also imbued with Holy Wisdom. Let all, then, abide in the peaceful Consciousness of God's Holy Wisdom and know that Wisdom Itself bears a charge of Power which manifests through the mind to regenerate all of the Energy of Man's Being on behalf of the service of the Light.
In the tale of Hercules and the Aegean stables, mighty valor is portrayed whereby one individual was able to overcome seemingly impossible odds. The story has been repeated in the annals of mankind's history countless times; and yet, the giants upon the pages of history are not ordinary men and women, for these have drawn forth a more than ordinary portion of the Great Flame of Life. These have felt more deeply, they have loved more deeply, and they have thought more deeply than many of their brethren.
My reason for noting here the distinctions in the minds and individual personalities of men is in the hope that those aspirants of the present, who hear these words and heed them, will find possible in their own beings and worlds the duplication of many of the masterful achievements of the past. Thus, the Babe of Bethlehem, as He expanded of old in Nazareth, stretching His limbs to become a carpenter of the world's destiny, framing for all ages a greater understanding of God, will find renewed extension in many sons and daughters coming to the Fount of Attainment and drinking therefrom of the Water of Life freely.
Quite frequently mankind become discouraged by the vicissitudes of life and the very weight of their own karmic responsibilities. It affords but small comfort to inform them that others bear a greater or similar weight of burden. Therefore, it is to the dedication of greater service that We extend Ourselves now, that We may not only assuage the burdens of the individual but those of all upon the planetary body.
The message of Christ Victory, passed by word of mouth in ages past and by ancient script, laboriously compiled and carried throughout the world only to fall prey to plunderers without understanding, in many cases can be more easily conveyed today and the torch can be passed to the multitudes of the whole world in fulfillment of the blessed command, "Go ye into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature." Yet, the requirements of a gentle heart, the requirements of a waiting mind, the need for good earth in which to plant the fruitful seed, remain paramount. Therefore, those who would spread abroad a message of infinite Love that has the Power and Wisdom within it to change outer conditions and to mold all in accordance with the wondrous stretchings of the Spirit in holy imaging must find men and women who are willing to forsake the outer struggles for the inner yearnings of their souls, who desire to be taught by God and the Holy Angels those precepts of Reality which shall endow all with Eternal Life.
The rising of incense in many of the holy places of the earth, offered in solemn ceremony to God, is only a symbol which may or may not be accompanied by the outbreathing of the pulsating Flame upon the Heart-Altars of men. But if such ritual be accompanied by a fervent devotion and a mighty invocation to the Cosmic Power of Universal Love, it cannot fail to bear fruit in an orderly response released from beyond the cycles of form and substance.
Let Me clearly point out that, in many of the world's children, the yearnings of their own hearts become linked to the more discordant tones of their brothers and sisters in human bondage, whereby they feel a compulsion for the world's approval of their acts; thus the yoke of human servitude is upon them, and they spurn the invisible rewards of heavenly passions. The yoke of the Christ, the joining by mankind of all of the Energies of their Being in a Flame of Holy Service, because of its inward hidden nature, does not have all of the outer appeal which would draw men to seek it and to pursue it in a lively manner.
The glamor of some religious expressions causes some men to be enchanted by certain religious byways, the ultimate result being that their souls become encompassed round about with weights of the natural order. The sin that so easily besets the supplicant, then, is at times the very multiplicity of his concepts which seek to rush to the center of his being and command his attention simultaneously. Thus, through directed and ordered simplicity, men can cut themselves free from a multitude of errors and perceive the shining radiance of the Eternal directly behind each manifestation and within their own form and thought.
To hold that God is radiantly behind the very flow of your thoughts is to connect yourself with His Presence. To feel the Body of God within your outer form is to sense the mystery of the Universe expressing within the confines of Man's own habitation. "Know ye not that your body is the Temple of God?" That God abideth in you is more than a theological phrase uttered by Saint Paul. It is an affirmation of the Eternal Presence and enables mankind to perceive the beauteous, holy charm that floods across the whole Earth and Universe in anticipation of the Great Day when Universal Harmony shall have performed Its perfect work.
Today conditions are still discordant upon Earth, for there is much illness and pain that requires healing to the present hour. It was only recently that I journeyed from Kashmir to the sacred city of Benares (India) and beheld the teeming multitudes performing a religious ceremony. I mingled with them in physical form and, as I performed healing ministrations, I sensed the great waves of holy anticipation that passed through them as a flame reaches the topmost branches of the forest and progressed to become a conflagration. Unfortunately, baneful emotions also travel rapidly and the grip of those emotions upon men's lives and fortunes - both earthly and heavenly - is beyond ordinary comprehension.
So much Holy Wisdom is required, even unto the present hour, entirely set apart in nature from worldly wisdom, that I must call to the attention of the students of the Greater Light the need for separate standards of measurement in assessing Holy Truth on the one hand and outer scientific facts on the other. Yet the Science of true Spirituality and Christliness is never in vain. It is the manifest Radiance of the Eternal Son of God penetrating the density of matter and form with the Light of transmutative substance whereby, as in the twinkling of an eye (in this case the Eye of God) the whole vision of His wondrous thought for mankind is communicated on the instant and flashes forth as Victory over one condition after another until the Whole Man is made whole.
Now, then, Precious Ones of God's Great Light, considering all that has been done for mankind this very year to bring about a greater sense of Freedom, not only in the social world but also in the world of the individual and in order to achieve a greater harmony of service in the manifold religions of the world, A PAEAN OF GREAT GRATITUDE OUGHT TO BE RAISED ON HIGH AND THIS SHOULD TAKE THE FORM OF A MIGHTY INVOCATION AND CALL FOR MORE LIGHT!
It is an amazing thing, in one sense, at how restrictive human thought is. But it is even far more amazing how very dynamic human thought can become when it is unified with the Divine Mind of God, and how wondrously it can communicate the Ideas held in the Heart of the Eternal One. Those of you familiar with the history of the ancient prophets will recall how in the case of Balaam, the son of Beor, a dumb ass was enabled to speak with a man's voice. I have always loved these lesser forms of creation, regardless of their source, for I know that all things relate to the One Great Source of God and; therefore, by the power of attunement with the Godhead, I was able on numerous occasions to draw forth Love in the hearts of the dumb beasts, so-called, of field and forest.
I cannot deny that there are times when the response of these lesser creatures to the Power of Love is greater than the responses evoked from mankind who, while possessing greater Wisdom and having been framed in far greater Hope, have sometimes failed, and thoughtlessly so, to apprehend the mighty Cosmic Purposes of their Being, whilst enamoured by the outer possibilities of their own finite self to express its limited facets and concepts.
When men stand to contemplate their true Being, it is best, then, that they face the naked reality thereof and realize that all that is benign was created by God and all that is not benign was never created by Him nor did He ever create any causes to breach the Peace of the world. All of these, then, having their origin in outer selfish manifestations, ought to be abolished; and the solution for all of the world's problems ought to be placed upon the sacred altar of Man's own holiness. Having, therefore, left the burden upon the altar, men ought to walk as oxen yoked together - yoked with their own Holy Christ Selves - to till the fields of the world in preparation for a new era of sowing.
It is not enough to gaze upon the achievements of the past and then to rest content. For We deal with Infinite Forces and even the forces of human discord are a spring of mighty compulsion which has unfortunately served to enslave the world for generations. Therefore, in the name of Peace, and Love, and Mercy, and Strength, and Wisdom let us gird together the families of the faithful throughout the World in greater communication, in a greater extension of the Pearls of the Kingdom to the eyes and hearts of those who seek for Holy Treasures; and let us faithfully evoke from the Godhead on behalf of this Cause the Radiation of El Morya, of Mother Mary, of Beloved Master Jesus, My Co-Server, and of all the Ascended and Cosmic Hosts.
So shall the harvest come to a full whiteness, and so shall the great barns and storehouses of the Lord hold that Harvest for the day of threshing. So shall the day of threshing become a Day of Rejoicing. For the chaff of all men - that which is not of their true and righteous Self - shall be separated from the wheat of their own individual harvests by the winds of the Holy Spirit, and it shall come to pass that the chaff shall be burned, its energies becoming fuel for the Mighty Engines of Life that move forward in order, in Holy Science and in Divine Attainment.
