Gracious ones, it is God's holy will to make this coming year - which is to be a great link in the eternal cycles - one dedicated to eternal Motherhood. The consciousness of the Mother of the World is to watch the children of one's heart, to exercise gentle care, to show compassion, to extend loving hands, to create a new sense of spiritual beauty within, and to hold the immaculate concept for all.
As the curtain is drawn to one side and the veil parts, revealing a new cycle to waiting eyes, ears, hearts, and minds, it is my hope - may it be yours as well - that the curtain of the past year and all of its sorrow and discomforts may be drawn and closed, its energies released for transmutation and its records sealed with light. Let the gracious energies of the past be incorporated and utilized in weaving future patterns of infinite love and beauty; and let men's consciousness of spiritual evolution be increased beyond compare, until such integration between the inner and outer spheres occurs as to alter the course of history in the balance of man's spiritual favor.
You have heard it said that man proposes and God disposes. In what holy truth God's flames of love dispose daily of man's negative energies. In what love God disposes of frightful distortions of human creation and in their place stands willing to enhance and glorify the proposals of men that are suitable to be fitted into the handiwork of nature in a manner consistent with the holy plan.
Let me now direct the energy of mankind to a symbol of the Holy Spirit. I choose the sacred pink rose and use it to illustrate a divine concept. The perfumer's art is still a limited example of nature's own supreme efforts. It is well known by many spiritually minded individuals that those who live in the closeness of their being to God's heart do pour forth a sustained floral radiance which is the essence of angelic love. This distillation of spiritual substance represents the choicest expression of divine love from the first golden age. It is a divine romanticism showing forth the purified meaning of love in the quality of the Highest. Those who would invite the presence of angels and blend their energies with heavenly tones would be wise to wear perfumes of a floral fragrance rather than those heady synthetic concoctions which stimulate the emotions.
Now then, ever since the Fall of man the simulation of the fragrance of the rose has been sought by mankind. The most vile and vicious human beings have sought to mask the emanation of their discord with its sweetness. To those able to penetrate the consciousness of others, no mystery is involved here, for these are able to perceive at a glance the true manifest state of another. Yet, those who are most wise hold the immaculate concept - even when discerning the operation of human viciousness, confusion, and ignorance.
In the holy Christian mysteries, as they stand revealed to modern disciples today, it is well known and understood that the body of misqualified substance, in which men have abode far too long, must be laid aside, together with old encrusted hates, viciousness, criticism, and vanity in self. In their place, the mind of Christ, the new heaven, must hold sway upon a new earth of their being composed of spiritual substance embodying the power to draw together the atoms of a regenerated physical form.
I earnestly urge all students of the true light of God to consider the far-reaching influence of their own thoughts and feelings. Watch the quality of the "children of your thoughts," the subtle influences emanating from your individualized focus of being, bear them high that they may draw to you always the enfolding radiance of the perfume of the pink rose of Christ devotion to the Father on high. Let this spiritual offering, placed on the altar of every cell of your being, invoke the majesty of such love as shall turn aside the odoriferous release of low human thought and feeling vibrations and in their place give forth great assistance to all life.
Every atom of my son Jesus' being was consecrated to God: he kept a steadfast attunement with love's majesty in the face of the most terrible conditions. What he has done you can do, for the selfsame glory that he manifested is within thee, one and all. This must be invoked sternly - yet without defiance; calmly - yet with determination; fervently - yet in unutterable sweetness.
I offer to you now the sacrifice of the perfume of the pink rose to penetrate your being as the power of the Holy Spirit. May this sweetness permeate your every pore and flood the earth with love where'er you walk. May this year be one of Christ accomplishment, rousing all your spiritual energies from the sleep of the ages unto the manifestation of his glory which is able to make out of the many one. My prayer joins yours and my son's and it is this in his words: O Father, I pray that as we are one so they may be one.
