"I AM", as a statement of Being, is the morning star to guide men's concepts through the firmament of Truth. Unless the Life in Man is God, It has no permanence, intelligence, power, nor sustaining virtue.
The so-called ignorant fishermen, the common men, who harkened to My call, "COME, FOLLOW THOU ME!" were not of lesser intelligence than their contemporaries who remained bound by the roots of tradition to false systems based on human knowledge alone. Unable to respond to the Voice of Truth, which in every age waits to lead men beyond the veil into the holy Path of Discipleship, the ignorant sat in the seat of convention to scorn the childlike simplicity expressed by those who came to be counted among the faithful. But those who were responsive to the inner call of their own God Presence had no difficulty in accepting the Reality of My Mission and the Divine Power which I exercised - and thus is it ever with the true disciples of Christ throughout all generations.
Millions have spoken of Peter's lack of faith which caused him to sink beneath the waves, but how many today or even in bygone days were able to stay afloat as he did, even while holding My hand? The promise that I gave to them of constant Faith, "The works that I do shall ye do also, and greater works than these shall ye do; because I go unto my Father," (John 14:12) was not for the moment, but a timeless truth of great spiritual import. Thus the Law requires that men and women of today begin with the faith of Peter and excel even the greatest achievements of My Galilean embodiment.
Every one who pays allegiance to his own God Presence and so lives in attunement with his blessed Divine Self contributes to the Golden River of Essential Being and becomes thereby a strengthening fibre sustaining the planetary body and soul of the world. As the ages roll and time flies through the cosmic signs of the Yugas, spiritual possibilities are increased. For those who will, there is today a manifestly greater opportunity to express Christ Qualities than in the more difficult days long past, thanks to the spiritual reserve of Grace externalized by holy men both during and since My life as Jesus of Nazareth.
Seldom do men today brave the lions' den, or the arenas of Rome; seldom do men face the dire threat of crucifixion before the multitudes. Tests which formerly centered in the physical plane have shifted into the realm of the mental and emotional. The observant will note that tortures and hardships endured by the martyrs of yesterday are felt today in the memory or etheric body of man. I AM desirous of alerting mankind, and particularly the students, to these signs of the times which are vital to the current hour, in order that more and more people may learn to avoid the pitfalls and snares which lay in wait for their souls and attentions. Supported by Transmutative Love, may all rise to render a Cosmic Service, completely oblivious, if possible, of the sinister vibrations which would harm the beautiful God Design of their true Being.
The more advanced disciples today will have little difficulty in understanding the wisdom of this transmission of spiritual instruction. I AM hopeful that even the beginner, in reviewing this matter through the months and years ahead, will find with increasing understanding a new resistance to evil developing within his world and manifesting as a powerful fortification against the entrenchments of unnecessary and distracting thoughts or suggestions, as he proceeds calmly about the Father's business.
The mass mind of the mundane and spiritually impractical who make the day seem one of gluttony and possessiveness, is unaware of the loss of the Immortal Soul Consciousness and Its longing for God and Divine Abundance. Men lose that God Consciousness through their wanderings in the byways of temporal attainment and satiety whereby they flaunt not only the laws of ethics and morality but also Spiritual Law in order to supposedly win for themselves some transient desire which is not the Will of God and more than likely runs counter to that Blessed Will. These people are unaware that the "mass mind" has become a graveyard of "dead men's bones" and that through their wrong attention they are "feeding" or keeping alive anti-Christ concepts which reach out like an octopus to seize the unwary in its claws, while discharging the inky black elements of obscurity, fear, doubt and negativism into the world thought.
The Christ attributes of Faith, Courage, and Certainty of Purpose must replace every sinister suggestion and be the indwelling theme of those who would stand their ground and express the fulness of Christ Love in the face of each seemingly intelligent oppositional force which seeks to destroy every true Child of the Light. It must be understood that the sinister force, so-called, will use earthly loved ones or members of the same family, friends or even the negative side of the disciple's own nature in order to attempt to gain an anchor into the chela's world and render him impotent for the Divine Purpose. My forty days in the wilderness were spent in constant struggle against the accumulated sinister force of the ages. In fact, there were certain hours when the total momentum of all negative force ever generated from the beginning of time was turned loose at once upon Me as a test to prove My endurance under severest odds. I AM grateful for the rhythm of honest decision which I had sustained in previous embodiments and for all right action preceding My trial, for these did contribute to My victory. Yet it is certainly true that an honest intent today will suffice to ward off much of that which may be directed against you.
Blessed Ones, e'en though these be days which also try the souls of men, "'I AM' THE RESURRECTION AND THE LIFE OF THAT VICTORY WHICH OVERCOMES THE WORLD AND RISES TO FULFILL ITS MISSION, TO HEAL THE SICK, BIND UP THE WOUNDS OF THE BROKEN-HEARTED, AND UNIFY THE HEARTS OF MEN WITH HEAVEN'S IDEALS OF PERFECTION!"
The world turmoil is presently very great, but ever so much greater is the reason why men should overcome the sinister thoughts of condemnation and judgment which may be beamed at them. Awaken, Dear Ones, to realize that if you have a mite of error within you, the sinister will try to amplify it by self-condemnation and by the criticism and judgment of others. In this way two or more fall victim at once to the force of malice, the one by judging and the other by accepting the judgment of another. Self-criticism too can be a trap to which the honest heart sometimes falls prey.
Blessed Ones, God has not designed you in imperfection and it is the Reality of your God Self which has Eternal Life. All which belongs to sin, suffering and death is a part of the Adamic race which, through Divine Law, is transformed by Christ Grace and salvation without end. Truly, they who BELIEVE in the REALITY of GOD, of CHRIST, and of LIGHT, shining through all density, will be saved from "the arrow that flieth by day" and "the pestilence that walketh in darkness!"
"I AM" Thy Life's Victory of the Light that never fails,
