HABIT
Corona Class Lesson 35
Spirituality
"Be the Children of Your Father in Heaven"

To Hands and Hearts Outstretched We Offer Our Own -

Naught else but eternal Life can water the soul with the refreshing rain from heaven. The vanishing material concepts will never be missed by the pilgrim who pursues the way of peace.

How mighty is the power of eternal habits. Is it not customary for men to refer to a monk's "habit" when speaking of his garments? Let the habit of spirituality clothe the sincere follower of the Ascended Masters with the greatest gifts - with the incomparable magnificence of the very best gifts heaven can bestow.

"I AM the all-enfolding garment of Light charged with the life, truth, and radiance of God, Good! Naught of the human can distress me, for I AM the victorious, all-powerful consciousness of God in action - blessing, guarding, guiding, and directing me in all that I do!"

Blessed ones, the chariot driver of days gone by held in his hands the reins to control the charging horses which conveyed him hither and yon. The reign of Ascended Master God-control which nothing can dismay (whereby the Christ of you holds the reins which control the `four horsemen' of the four lower bodies) ought to keep you in perfect control of every situation.

Can the raging (astral) sea, the raging heathen1 energies (of the mass consciousness), or the die of the human thought matrix stay or destroy the perfect beauty of the eternal concepts God has about you? Of course not! But the thoughts God holds for you as an individual i-den-ti-fied with Life (I AM densified, or coalesced, in form) must hold sway in your world, and the priceless treasures of heaven must become a daily habit before you can be vested with the power of all Good.

Blessed ones, the story attributed to my life as Saint Francis, of the image of the Christ Child appearing in the crêche one Christmas,2 holds this meaning: the image of the Mighty I AM Presence activated in man by purity and love does indeed give life to the immaculate God-concept of the Christ, the Son of God, in every child of Light who will accept the gift.

Within the manger scene surrounded by the adoring angels and related ones who understand that the Christ of Nazareth is the Christ of every man, the perfect habit and gift of Christmas lives and is made alive for all the years in each receptive heart. And the power of God, the Divine One, clothes all with the habit of thought-perfection like unto himself.

How lovingly the ones who have gone before in steps of spiritual progress leading to the ascension offer hearts and hands of light to strengthen the bonds between the unascended chelas and those already blessed with the completeness of Light's bond of ascended perfection.

Hold fast the hands of Love that have borne you thus far; for he who fashioned thee of old, fashioned also the Christ! The Light that shines beyond the years overcomes all fear and clothes thee now with the auric radiance of God's own love - the magic circle of Christ's family unity. Let them try to shut thee out - God has taken thee in!

Be filled with God and all else shall be overcome, for the Most High shall overcome all imperfections in thee by his gift of Light, Love, and Life, which remain to this day unbroken by any or all patterns less than perfection!

     Lovingly, I AM

Kuthumi

     Vision

"He Saw the Vision of the Almighty"

Hearts Burdened by the Shadowed Image,

     I AM Come!

Let none tarry overlong in the densities of human stagnation. The clear, calm pool of immortal Love waits to bathe the world, the soul, and all that breathes the essence of eternal Life, with the concepts of God himself. How can the shadowed image long remain when heaven's wondrous face is bending o'er the soul to see reflected there the glory of Eternity?

I AM come to bring peace to the troubled heart and calm repose to the soul in the dignity of life, sustained by the wisdom of iridescent spheres. Let each one know the Christlike power of dynamic vision, the power within the concept of God's truth in action here.

Beloved ones, we won our freedom by the power of Light. Can Light do less for thee? A million concepts of error are as chaff before the winds of God's exalted vision in action.

What is the threshing floor of Life? Is it not the seat of thine own person? And does not the hand of Life serve thee there? Does not the flail and the skill of the harvester divest thee of the husks until the golden grain stands ready for milling - for the transmutation and the raising unto the LORD's table?

You are not intended merely to be guests, but sons and joint-heirs with the unfailing Light of God, clothed with the wedding garment of immortality, the joy of angels, and the all-knowing peace of the inner heart of God's Presence.

In the present-day turmoil, I am confident that the sincere student will perceive the disciplines of the Spirit as the sure means of keeping the soul expanding into its mighty matrix of perfection.

In the littleness of error-habits, men sow seeds of imperfect stature. In the cultivation of the perfection of God's thought, in the harmonizing of the consciousness with the all-knowing wisdom of God, in the supreme oneness of spiritual unity, all else is swept away. All human error and disappointment are forever inundated by a flood of loving purpose, whose end is but a door ajar into the eternal cycles of the rolling spheres, visible and invisible.

As thy Daystar shines more perfect still,
Keep ever conscious of Good Will
For peace on earth can come to all
Who, openhearted, heed the Call
And live in faith and grace and love
Toward God who watches from Above,
And to mankind extend the plan
Of Love in action, Light I AM!

     Fraternally,

Jesus the Christ

Volume 5, Number 49, footnote 2. Saint Francis and the Christ Child. In 1223 Brother Francis prepared a special Christmas celebration. His heart's desire was to commemorate the birth of Christ in a way which would vividly portray the suffering and discomfort the Saviour had borne. He asked his devout friend Messer John Vellita to set up a real manger filled with hay in a grotto on a steep wooded hill in Greccio. An ox and ass were also brought to the spot, just as at Bethlehem.
At midnight on Christmas Eve, the brothers and neighboring people came bearing candles and lighted torches that brilliantly illumined the night. Together they celebrated a solemn Mass over the crèche; and Francis, with a countenance of supreme compassion and unspeakable joy, delivered a moving sermon on the "Bethlehem Babe." For a moment, his friend John saw a beautiful infant lying in the manger, appearing almost lifeless. Then he saw Francis step forward and lift the Child, who opened his eyes as if waking from a deep sleep and smiled. The vision signified that although Christ had been asleep and forgotten in the hearts of many, he was being brought to life again through the devotion of his servant Francis.
