DISCIPLESHIP
Corona Class Lesson 30
Mastership
"If Ye Continue in My Word ..."

Good Stewards of the Essence of All Goodness -

The way of discipleship never ends. The absorption of this idea is imperative if you would advance to the heights to which the very soul of God inspires you! Explore the idea of the unceasing Wisdom, the ever-flowing River of Life, and the infinite Mind, and you will discover why this is so.

Blessed ones, are not all things relative? Your relation to your Mighty I AM Presence is so intimate and lovely, and yet it is relative to your capacity to absorb and retain the beauty of God. Now, if you increase your capacity to assimilate Light, as the Christ consciousness, will not your relationship to the Master also change?

You see, it is your power to comprehend, your wisdom to comprehend, your love to comprehend (i.e., take in) God that defines the nature of your ongoing discipleship "worlds without end" as you espouse the path of unceasing discipleship under each succeeding representative of the Master of Life.

How quickly a sponge absorbs water as long as it is not already wet or clogged with dirt. Yet, all sponges do not have the same absorptive quality and therefore some retain considerably more water than others. Now, consider the levels of individual capacity to absorb Light. Some take in a great deal of the divine radiance but do not long retain it; others have less power to take in but are able to hold on to each blessing substantially longer.

To "eat" and "drink" the spiritual body and life-essence of the Christ - to enter into, to put on, and to become the Master's consciousness is the true way of discipleship. And this Way ye know, for the Beloved said to his disciples, "Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no Life [God] in you."1

There is an ideal situation to which all should aspire, and that is the highly spiritual, ecstatic state wherein identification with your Mighty I AM Presence is the high prize to which your total being aspires.2 This aspiration to Light's ecstasy elevates the inner vision to the point where the white fire core of matter comes under one's conscious control, according the devotee the privilege of increasing his own capacity and power to internalize the sacred fire. Thus, the ultimate Way is approached and the disciple is led step by step through the gates to the Infinite, ever higher on the upward spiral of Being.

Mastership is the goal but it is always a conferred title and an assumed grace. I shall clarify this a little by stating that all advancement comes to each lifestream through the hands and heart of his own God Presence, and it is this lovely God Presence that confers upon the victorious disciple the title of "Master," either through the Maha Chohan or the Lord of the World.

In order to attain mastership (self-mastery over the four lower bodies, the chakras, and the elements of one's psyche - by Love), it is necessary for the sincere disciple to assume the role and posture of master of the fohatic fire and to invest his consciousness with grace by attuning with the Ascended Masters' Electronic Presence, which we will superimpose over the disciple's aura in answer to his call.

A final word is in order. The greatest Masters consider themselves to be eternal disciples because they perceive that in a universe where only God is the ultimate, realized completely only by Himself and only partially by the individualized parts, there exists a series of octaves of light which expand endlessly as an eternal echo, or reflection, of the Infinite. These extend ad infinitum as universal hands of receptivity outstretched to receive the ideations and conceptions released momentarily from the Mind and Heart of God.

In accepting this creativity of the Father, a loving, spiritual rapport is needed. The disciple's mind is best suited to this purpose because it is a receiving mind. The Master's mind is a transmitting mind, revealing the way that has already been attained as "footsteps of light." But beyond this, the disciple's mind obtains directly from the Father a perennial ecstasy in the flow of knowledge, power, and love and transcends itself in the orderly, everlasting consciousness of God.

Countless would-be instructors in God's laws either have not understood their role first and last to be the eternal chela of the Great Guru or have been reluctant to explain to their pupils the facts pertaining to the law of mastership.

I doubt not that human ego and human ignorance have both been responsible for this sin of omission on the part of many who have sought sincerely to teach men the Way. Therefore we must state for the freedom and enlightenment of all seekers for Truth that the soul moving Godward, no matter how advanced the degree of his adeptship, always remains God's servant, a follower on the path of discipleship in Christ, the only Light of the world. Therefore, it is well to remember that a student of cosmic law is never the possession of any earthly teacher - who is no teacher at all if he attempts to control or hold back his students.

The motto of the true Master is "Lead me to the Rock that is higher than I."3 The true Teacher advises his students that he speaks the word of the One who has sent him,4 thus directing the aspiring ones toward the summit that rises beyond his own level of attainment. The true Shepherd rejoices to see his flock climb the mountain before him, grateful that he may stay awhile and hold the balance of Love for their safe and masterful ascent - even if it mean the foregoing for a season of the crown of achievement, or that another may receive it before him.

It is well to note that the Great White Brotherhood, under their own sacred code, have demanded that true initiates never reveal their advancement to one another. To do so would hinder or stop one's spiritual progress, and surely this would in turn defeat the purpose of the Great Law, which conducts each true disciple through successive states of illumined glory to the throne of permanent initiation.

Initiatic degrees are conferred as a permanent estate by the Great Law in much the same manner that a doctorate is bestowed from a university. Once given, the degree is never withdrawn unless through malpractice the lifestream deliberately violates the code of the Brotherhood and sends forth harmful vibrations to another. In such cases, the degree with its commensurate authority (i.e., attainment) may be suspended until the needed correction is humbly sought and the Path once again adored and pursued.

To be a disciple of the great Master Jesus is the goal of many who desire to follow him in the regeneration.5 Let me remind you that every Cosmic and Ascended Master is one with all others. To be assigned to a specific Master, or even to be temporarily transferred for training purposes to another, is the accepted means whereby Life gives you a unique and blessed opportunity for greater learning.

Welcome each opportunity to increase your spiritual self-mastery in all planes, and realize that the eternal student is a walking question mark, leaning upon the shepherd's crook of the seeker-adept but anchored in the symbolical dot below the mark - namely, that consciousness which focuses the white fire core of knowledge, power, and true divine love. Such students keep on asking questions and seeking answers to Life's mysteries, recognizing that they, too, have been given a torch of illumination for the steadfast journey as disciples of the Christ.

All are not given the identical experience pattern, for some do not require what others do. One day we shall reveal to the Lightbearers of earth a greater understanding of their origins than they have previously known. Until certain facets of the Christ consciousness are mastered by the people of this planet, such treasure might serve only to confuse many.

What is vital and of immediate consequence to the happiness and well-being of the general populace, and our disciples in particular, is that they learn to govern their energies. Emotional excesses generate humanly qualified, downward-pulling vortices that tend to swallow up the undisciplined in old and new momentums of karma.

A disciple is one who practices the disciplines of the God Self, ruling over and disciplining the outer personality and his own ideational patterns, having the God-awareness of himself as an individualized manifestation of the I AM THAT I AM. Those so fortunate as to have chosen discipleship as a way of life have thereby chosen to serve the Light. By always placing the Light first, these will find that one day the Light will place them first - at the very center of God's will. Then nothing will be impossible to the disciple, for it is not difficult for the Master.

Through every moment of the day, God is releasing to everyone on earth the same pure energy of his own nature - the essence of all Goodness. Yet the end result of this release, impartially given, is that one receives and amplifies it as a good steward while another wastes it by spilling it on the ground.6

The final point to keep constantly in mind is that living vigilance must countermand every human impulse which does not have the approval of one's own Christ nature. Hour by hour, every human impulse must be replaced by the ever-watchful direction of the Christ Self's heavenly intent.

Do this, beloved, and see how the fullness of the seamless garment of Christ-perfection will descend and abide with you, waking or sleeping, conscious or unconscious. I tell you truly, this garment of your Christ-image will magnify without limit that God-plan which invokes for you, the disciple, the fullness of the Master's image.

Valiantly in Christ Truth, I AM

Kuthumi
