To Our Gracious Readers Dedicated to Love's Service the World Around -

Our Beloved Ascended Master Saint Germain Speaks:

Symbolical indeed it is of the dawning Christ Brotherhood in the consciousness of those of the "New World" (as the Western continent has often been called in the past), that those brave souls who have given it their very life to produce liberty of action, and freedom for life to pursue the manifestations of happiness, should have set aside one day each year in order to draw and center the attention of its people upon the importance of cooperative service - man to man. This they have called "Labor Day," and good it is indeed that such an acknowledgment of appreciation and gratitude has been evinced by mankind for the release of the qualified energies of each other.

However, could I have but one opportune suggestion here, I might gently observe that, since mankind's energies do not originate either within or by himself but simply flow through him from his Creator, perhaps the observance of this holiday in the Western world should humbly and joyously be allowed to include a gentle, grateful worship of the Father of All - the Source of that life which makes all service possible. At present, this holiday is mostly observed in a "secular" way - the time seized upon for the wresting from it as much physical enjoyment as possible, because it is the last holiday of the summer season. Certainly not by the masses is there much quiet contemplation, adoration or gratitude expressed to and for "Him from Whom all blessings flow." Perhaps this should be so, since "holiday" really means "a holy (whole I) day."

Beloved ones! There is really no such state of affairs as God and man! The truth is that there is God in man - for God is life itself and, therefore, man without God (life) would have no existence whatsoever. Then, too, there is no division between "secular" and "divine" life or living - really - there is only one life and that is God-in-action. This is truth - and what otherwise appears (as has been explained so often) - is simply the result of mankind's forgetfulness and therefore unawareness of the truth of his own reality and source. As a consequence, through the use of his own free-will choice, he is constantly imposing upon the ever-flowing substance of his own life that which he thinks and cognizes by the five outer senses to be true - through thought, feeling, spoken word and deed of the personality consciousness.

The word "labor" has been defined as being "a certain release of energy used to accomplish a definite purpose". This carries our thought, then, beyond the idea of just "physical labor" - (the exertion of muscle, nerve and sinew), for a great deal of energy not only can be but actually is released through one's mental processes, as well as through the spoken word. Remember always that the focus of the power-center of the body is at the back of the throat where the tongue is hung-proving that originally, God intended man to be able to precipitate direct from the Universal that which he required - first by forming the thought-pattern thereof in his mind; filling it full with joyous, grateful, constructive feeling and then commanding it into outer manifestation by the power of the spoken word. As a matter of fact, it has been proven scientifically many times that a lecturer or teacher can and does release more physical energy (his own life) in one hour's talk than does one physically digging a ditch, over an eight-hour period.

Therefore, it would be so much appreciated by my humble self if each of our earnest chelas would daily ask me to charge into his or her consciousness my Ascended Master feeling of true appreciation for cooperative service - for that is the essence of my consciousness of Christ Brotherhood - the one good God expressing individually through all to produce collective perfection! In such a consciousness there is never "capitalism" versus "labor," for one is as important to the end result as the other. Necessary is he indeed who has and is willing to release the "wherewithal" to supply that which the worker needs to manifest his skills; necessary, too, are the buoyant enthusiasms of the "mediator" (salesman or advertiser) between finished product and "consumer" - never forgetting those patient lifestreams who do the tedious and perhaps less interesting (to some at least) "accounting" to keep in divine order the substance and energies concerned. Surely everyone sees that one is quite as essential as the other - in his own way - and the desire on the part of each for the highest good of all would indeed hasten the millennium of that so-much-coveted "peace on earth - good-will to all men."

The day the masses of mankind achieve the understanding that it is far more important to be concerned about the energies which go forth from their worlds than in that which they are constantly striving to draw into them - the resistance and rebellion against their daily "serving" will be no more. With the going of this unfortunate state of consciousness shall go also the causes and cores of more dis-ease - physically, mentally, emotionally and financially - than anyone unascended possibly can know today. Certainly the attitude of our earnest chelas toward their daily service will ever be that of the Master himself - who knows that the very first Law of Life is to give of itself - for giving is really living. Surely that which is not first sent forth cannot be returned - and that which is sent forth does return - always with more of its kind - just as surely as there is a sun in the heavens.

John Ruskin once expressed a great truth when he said: "It is not nearly so important what a man gets for the service he gives - as what he becomes by it!" Let me help you more quickly become my freedom, by giving me your daily call to charge into your outer service my feeling and substance of victorious violet fire, which does bring and hold all into divine order through divine love - on contact!

The freedom flame in action for you - "I AM"
